Rylee and Sebastian woke with about two hours left of their flight. Rylee wasn't quite sure what time it was anymore. She assumed with how long the flight was that their time zone had changed. But she decided not to worry about it. She was on a private jet flying to a two week long vacation destination with her amazing, handsome, loving boyfriend, she didn't need to know what time it was.

After they got dressed they came back out to see breakfast was being laid out on the table between two of the seats.

The breakfast was small and delicate compared to what was normally eaten in the United States. They each had a latte in front of them alongside something the stewardess called fette biscottate which was essentially twice baked toast, served with jam.

They both enjoyed their meal, Rylee being none the wiser about the fact that fette biscottate was a popular breakfast staple in Italy, her first hint.

Her next hint appeared in the use of Italian Prosecco, which Sebastian poured into two small glasses of orange juice for Rylee and himself to make mimosas.

"Oo, Italian. Fancy." Rylee commented as she read the bottle, completely oblivious to the hints slowly being laid out in front of her.

Rylee raised her glass, as Sebastian did the same, "to....vacation."

"To vacation." Sebastian replied back as they clinked their glasses together carefully.

Soon the Captain, James Perry, came over the intercom as they finished their drinks.

"Good morning all, we hope you've had a pleasant journey so far. We've recently entered Central European Standard Time, making the time now just about...10:30 am. I'll give you a few minutes to guess where we will be landing before we start our descent."

Central European time. Well that narrows it down a bit. But there are still a good bit of countries she knows of in that time zone.

Sebastian smiled in Rylee's direction, watching her brain sort through what information she's gotten and what she already knows.

"I'm not going to guess. I'll let the Captain tell me." Rylee said, nodding with certainty. She liked the idea of the surprise and didn't want to ruin it with over the top guesses.

A few minutes passed as Sebastian and Rylee had moved to sitting side by side when the Captain returned to the speaker. "Heeellllooo again. This is your Captain, James, speaking again and in about ten minutes we will be landing in the birthplace of the Renaissance, a city noted for its culture, monuments, and architecture. We would love to welcome you to Florence, Italy."

Rylee looked at Sebastian in shock, mouth fallen open. Italy.

"You remembered," Rylee sighed. She reflected back onto a drunken, late night conversation they had, when they were both lying together in bed, talking about everything and nothing all at once.

———

"Alright alright..place you'd love to go on vacation on three. One, two, three:

Both simultaneously said "Italy!"

"Noooo way." Rylee laughed, "did we both just say the same place?"

"I think so." Sebastian drunkenly laughed.

"Ah, maybe someday huh." Rylee laughed again, "Okay okay okay. Um. Favoriteee holiday. One, two, three..."

———

"Of course I remember," Sebastian replied, reaching over to put his hand on her cheek, running his thumb along it for a moment before he leaned in to kiss her.

A few more minutes and they were landed, gathering their things, and heading off the jet.

Sebastian took their bags and walked over to the limo currently parked on the Italian tarmac. The driver opened the door for Rylee, "Buongiorno signorina, benvenuti a Firenze."

Rylee smiled, not quite knowing what the man had said, but enjoying every syllable of it.

Sebastian shut the trunk and looked at the driver, "Buongiorno, grazie!"

When he sat in the car next to Rylee, she looked at him, lost again, "you know Italian?"

Sebastian shrugged, "I know the basics."

Their chauffeur began their drive, the trip to where they were staying was only about 20 minutes and soon enough they were approaching the location of their home for the next handful of days.

Rylee was sure that this was the Tuscany that she'd dreamed of. The front gate was comprised of two ancient sun-baked stone columns, the scent of olive groves perfumed the air.

After a short drive, shrouded in emerald green, they reached the dazzling facade. The baroque former monastery radiated classical Italian charm, the design attributed to Michelangelo himself.

Rylee couldn't stop staring as the driver had stopped and gotten out to open her door. "Benvenuti in Villa San Michele," he said as he offered her a hand to step out of the car.

Rylee continued staring off into the distance, taking in the beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. The beautiful green hills rolled for miles under the completely blue skies.

She could see a vineyard not too far down the road where people were milling about, pulling from the vines.

Sebastian wrapped his arm around her waist as she continued to look around, "So...so far so good?"

"Eh, you did okay, Stan." Rylee tried to stay serious but just couldn't as she started to giggle.

Sebastian laughed to, turning her towards the Villa, "Come on, let's go get settled."

They both walked together towards the ornate open archways of the front of the Villa. They were beautifully crafted and seemed to be able to make the space that much more whimsical.

They arrived at the front desk, and were greeted by the receptionist, "Bongiorno Signor Stan e Signorina Summers! My name is Francesca. Welcome to Firenze! I hope your travels have gone well."

"Buongiorno, its been great, thank you!" Sebastian answered, signing a form the receptionist slid his way.

"Amazing. Here is the key to your suite. And if you need anything at all, do not hesitate to call." She took the paper that Sebastian had slid back to her and tucked it away under the desk, "Enjoy your stay!"

"Grazie mille," Sebastian replied before he took their key and suitcase in one hand, and reached for Rylee's with his other hand, lacing their fingers together as they walked through the overarching corridors, spilling with beautiful artwork as well as stonework.

Rylee hadn't spoke for the last few minutes...still utterly speechless. When she had pictured taking a trip to Italy, she always thought of staying in a little dinky hotel somewhere in the city, never anything as gorgeous and overwhelming as this.

Sebastian gave Rylee's hand a squeeze, bringing her back to the moment. He set down his bag and opened the door to their suite, revealing the most beautiful room Rylee had ever laid eyes on.

They walked in to see a sitting room, with beautiful overstuffed cream colored armchairs filling the space. Through a large wall length arched doorway, was a beautiful king sized bed donned in the same matching cream duvet as the furniture. The bed faced a beautiful floor to ceiling, almost oval shaped, window framed by more cream armchairs, open and letting in a cool Tuscan breeze.

Out through the bedroom was another arched door, which was open, that led outside to a grass covered area with a beautiful stone patio, a large shading umbrella over reclining sun chairs. Slightly off to the side was a small pool and hot tub, where the view looked like it would be spectacular.

"Oh my god, Sebastian." Rylee just stood in the doorway.

Sebastian held the door open for her, waiting for her to come in but she stayed frozen in the doorway, "So, do you want to come in and actually see it?" Sebastian snickered.

Rylee was brought back to the moment and walked into their suite. She still couldn't stop looking around.

Sebastian set down his suitcase and when he turned around he saw Rylee practically running at him across the room she jumped up and hooked her legs around him along with looping her arms around his neck in a giant hug. He was caught off guard but caught her easily, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist.

Rylee leaned back for a moment and then leaned back in to kiss Sebastian deeply, their tongues meeting in the middle.

Sebastian walked them over to the bed, continuing their kiss. He laid Rylee gently on the bed, his lips finally separating from hers, he started kissing his way down her body as he slowly unbuttoned her shirt.

The light curtains blew gently in the breeze coming through the open bedroom window as Rylee and Sebastian lost themselves, intertwined together. A perfect way for vacation to begin.

After hours of sensual touches, quiet moments, and what felt like nonstop sex, both Rylee and Sebastian dozed off, relaxing next to one another.

After some time, Rylee awoke wrapped in Sebastian's arms, as she slowly slipped out of his grip, she quickly grabbed his t-shirt and her underwear, slipping them on, before checking the time, 8:07 pm.

Jet lag has always been rough but this was a whole new level. She shrugged it off, figuring they had the whole trip to fix their sleep schedule. She'd survive.

When Rylee walked into the sitting room, she noticed a bottle of wine chilling in an ice bucket with glasses next to it as well as another welcome note to the Villa. She hadn't noticed them there when they first arrived.

She decided to pour herself a glass and then walked back through the bedroom, seeing Sebastian was still fast asleep, she continued through the open patio door and chose a chair to relax in to watch the sunset over Florence, the rolling hills and vineyards catching every ray of light and soaking up whatever they could before the sun disappeared for the evening.

Ten minutes later Rylee heard light footsteps padding up behind her. When they sounded close, she felt two muscular arms entwine over her shoulders, as she received a kiss to the top of her head.

"Hey, you," she said as she relaxed into the touch.

"Ciao, Bella." Sebastian whispered into her ear as he leaned down closer to her, "how long have you been up?" He straightened back up and walked around her chair to take a seat in the matching one next to her, immediately offering out his hand to hold when he sat down, which she took effortlessly.

"Only a few minutes. Glad we didn't miss this. It's beautiful."

Sebastian couldn't stop staring at Rylee while she spoke. The soft orange glow of the setting sun complimenting her complexion. And don't get him started about her in nothing but her underwear and his shirt. "You're beautiful."

Rylee rolled her head to the side against the back of her chair to look at him, scrunching her nose up at the compliment. They both sat together quietly watching the sunset over the horizon, casting out beautiful shades of orange over the darkening hills below.

The next morning, both Sebastian and Rylee woke up around 8:00. Feeling too giddy to wait, they both got dressed and when they finished, they were both ready to head out the door, the Tuscan sun shining brightly above them.

Today, along with the rest of the week, the days were filled with various touristy adventures. They visited a handful of museums and architectural wonders throughout the area.

They visited the Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze where they were able to witness the Statue of David, along with other sculptures, art pieces, and instruments and histories of music.

Another stop included Le Gallerie degli Uffizi. Rylee was overwhelmed with the amount of beautiful pieces of various different forms of art that this gallery had to showcase, especially the painting titled The Birth of Venus. She probably could have stared at that painting all day, finding new details to focus on every few minutes.

Sebastian adored watching Rylee throughout their travels. Her eyes alight with wonder every step of the way through the city. He didn't need to personally see Italy if it meant he just got to watch her enjoying it.

Throughout the other days they visited other large monuments and buildings such as the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore and the Basilica di Santa Croc. Both large exquisite churches with so many small details and nooks and crannies that it would take years to soak it all in.

They also got the chance to stroll through the Boboli Gardens, which Rylee was surprised was more of an outdoor museum, containing a variety of statues, sculptures, and fountains through the vast beautiful greenery that surrounded them.

On Sunday, they decided to take the day slow and just roam the streets of Florence. They had been here for about a week, and Rylee loved every second of it. If they weren't out exploring the city, they were in bed, exploring each other.

But this particular day they had made their way to a bridge called the Ponte Vecchio, which was historic for a handful of reasons. Mainly from in the late 1500s, when the bridge's shops were made to only consist of jewelers instead of the butchers and tanners that once had business there.

Now there were jewelers, crafters, and trinket sellers and Sebastian and Rylee decided to stop into Fratelli Pacinni, a cozy little jewelry shop.

As they looked around at the various merchandise, a jeweler came over to chat, and soon Sebastian saw it in the man's eyes, that look he gets when someone's trying to figure out why they know him. He let it go, hoping the man wouldn't figure it out, but it was always inevitable.

Rylee pointed out a beautiful bracelet that the jeweler, who recently introduced himself as Matteo, pulled out of the case for Rylee to see. It was beautiful. 18k white gold, engraved, painted in miniature, and enameled by hand, according to Matteo's given knowledge.

Rylee thought the miniature hand painted motif looked oddly familiar and Matteo informed her that it drew inspiration from a detail of the white dress worn by a woman in the painting, The Birth of Venus.

Rylee looked at Sebastian who looked back, love practically pouring out of his expression and smile, "Makes sense why this caught your eye. You looked at that painting for a long time."

"I absolutely love this," Rylee stated as she held the bracelet in front of herself, looking at the intricate details, "it's beautiful."

"It is," Sebastian replied.

Rylee passed it back to Matteo, who placed it back in the case, she kept looking about at the different pieces in the shop, Sebastian at her hip, but she never really quite got the same glimmer in her eye over any other piece after the Venus bracelet.

They both said their goodbyes to Matteo, Rylee saying she'd maybe return later in the day to look around again.

They walked down a few store fronts to a cute coffee bar that looked like a hole in the wall sort of place, not many patrons sitting about. They went to order coffees and Sebastian patted down his pockets, "Ah, I think I left my wallet at that last store. Can you grab these and I'll be right back?"

"Sure babe, hurry though! Who knows if your wallets still even there!" Rylee said as he quickly half jogged out of the bar and onto the street turning towards the jewelers.

Five or so minutes later, Sebastian returned and sat down across from Rylee at a small booth inside, "Got it. Matteo picked it up."

Rylee slid him his Caffè Ristretto, "Well that's good! I'm glad. Can you imagine the nightmare it would be to lose your wallet, let alone in another country. Sheesh." Rylee laughed as she sipped her Caffè Lungo.

"Oh, and I also found this." Sebastian said as he pushed a long, slim, velvet black box over towards her across the table.

Rylee didn't say anything for a minute, taking in what was slid across to her, "Sebastian..wha-"

"Woman...just open it." Sebastian laughed out loud.

Rylee pulled the box closer and cracked open the lid, and then she closed it again, putting her hand over her mouth to cover her awe.

"Sebastian Stan. I can't deal with you."

"Happy anniversary...a day early." Sebastian chuckled.

Rylee opened the box fully now, taking in the glimmer of the bracelet they had been looking at half an hour prior. The white gold chain catching the setting sun's light through the cafe window. The intricate hand painted blue flowers over the white background were just as beautiful as they were, not only in the shop, but on the famous painting itself.

"Thank you so much Seb. This is amazing. Way way way too expensive...but amazing."

"Hush." Sebastian said as he took a sip of his drink. He set his cup down and gestured for her to pass the box to him and she did.

He took the bracelet out and looped it around her wrist, clipping it and twisting it back so it was positioned correctly. Rylee twisted her wrist closer for her to look at it, and then looked back over at Sebastian, who was smiling from ear to ear, proud of his sneaky triumph.

"I love you." Sebastian whispered across the space between them.

"I love you more," Rylee replied as she leaned on her hand.

"Mmm...not possible." Sebastian commented back, his smirk crawled back onto his face as he scrunched his nose. Rylee stood up from her spot and slid into Sebastian's side of the booth, kissing him deeply, Sebastian leaning into the kiss easily.
