《Actions Speak Louder Than Fortune Cookies》64 - Nice Way to Wake Up

Just as Morgan said, like clockwork on Monday morning, an agent called Sebastian and asked him and Rylee to come to the police station to discuss the findings between all three companies.

There was a light layer of snow covering the ground in some places, but most of it had turned to grey slush under the New York City foot traffic.

Sebastian and Rylee slowly made their way towards the door, careful not to slip on any excess slush and breathed in the warm air of the police station when they entered.

They were ushered back to a meeting room where a variety of people were already seated. Morgan and Jane were there as well as a representative named Steve from StuntWorks, a representative from OSHA named Catherine, and two investigators with the police named Josh and Mary.

Most of what was said was what Morgan had already told Sebastian over the phone.

All three individual companies completed their own audit and investigation and after coming together to discuss their results, had come to the conclusion that Sebastian's rigging had been tampered with.

"Have you heard the name Kevin McGrath before?" Josh asked.

Sebastian shook his head, "No, no I haven't."

"That was the name used to sign off on the safety check for your equipment that morning. All other rig runners and inspectors on set that entire week were interviewed a few days after the incident. But a Kevin McGrath was nowhere to be found and no one recognized that name or the man we found footage of." Josh stated matter of factly.

They played a video of the man walking along the side of set and to the harness equipment. It's difficult to see, but it looks as though he took out a small bolt cutter and cut a slit into the wire used on the harness. Not visible unless being looked for, and since he signed the papers, Sebastian's rig was skipped over by all other rig employees, by none of their faults. They simply followed protocol. If a rig is already signed off, move on to the next one.

The rest of the five minute footage is the man walking away. It can now be seen on the video that Sebastian and Chris even walked right past the man. As they were walking towards set, he was walking out. It made Sebastian sick to his stomach to see. He could've reached out and touched the guy, that's how close they got.

Rylee could feel the tension radiating off of Sebastian's body. She reached under the table and laced her hand into his, squeezing it gently.

The worst part for Sebastian was that he always made it a point to know everyone he worked with, even if it was just their name. So this was like a slap in the face. If he would've paid attention and really saw this man, he may have questioned who he was at the time.

"We are currently running this man through our system but so far nothing has come up. But we'll keep everyone updated if anything comes up. In the mean time," Josh paused.

"Sebastian," Josh called and Sebastian looked at him.

"Is there anyone out there that you believe would possibly want to harm you?"

Sebastian thought for a moment and then looked at Rylee, who nodded.

"Rylee and I have talked about it and the only person we can fathom having motive to do this would be Michael Wright."

"And who is that, for the record," Josh asked, pointing his pen to the recording device on the table.

"Michael Wright is the abusive ex-boyfriend of my girlfriend, Rylee Summers. She has had a PFA as well as an EPO against him and he is currently in jail serving 45 years for trying to murder Rylee."

"Rylee, do you concur with Sebastian's statement?"

"Yes. Michael was very vindictive when I said I wasn't going to drop my life and move back to Pittsburgh with him. He specifically kept up with all the news that ever correlated with Sebastian and I."

"When Sebastian and I had started dating, Michael made it a point to tell news outlets who I was, just because he wanted me. He thought if everyone knew I was with Sebastian I would run off scared...and then he came after me when I had the EPO written up."

Everyone in the room was adding to their notes as Sebastian and Rylee spoke.

"After Morgan called Sebastian and said that the rigging was believed to be tampered with, we started talking about it, and we both believe Michael is somehow connected to this."

Josh nodded as Mary finished writing. "Does anyone have any other questions, comments, concerns to put out on the table?"

Catherine from OSHA asked, "If Michael is serving time, how would he have gotten this accomplished?"

"That's our next key question to focus on. If you're in jail, who do you get to do your dirty work." Josh asked as a rhetorical question.

"We will absolutely keep Michael in mind during this investigation," Mary tacked on, "we have the court transcript on hand and will be reviewing it after this meeting."

"Any other thoughts or questions?" Josh asked the room.

"Alright, if we need anymore information, we will get in contact with you all. Thank you again for coming in today and for all of your helpful information."

Sebastian and Rylee shook hands with everyone in the room, each person coming around so Sebastian didn't have to try to maneuver the room on his crutches, which he was grateful for.

Sebastian and Rylee waited for everyone to clear out so they could go their slower pace out the door and into the brisk, December New York air.

They decided to stop at Round Corner Cafe for breakfast. They hadn't been there in a while, not since before the accident. When they eventually made it in, they found a booth close to the front. They usually aimed for the back corner booth to stay tucked away from prying eyes but they decided to sit in front so Sebastian didn't have to walk as far.

Ken was ecstatic to see them, "You're back! I thought you guys fell off the Earth! How's it going?" He brought out their usuals, a cold brew and a black coffee, to get them started.

Sebastian and Rylee agreed in unison that it had been too long but then dove into explaining why they weren't around and pointed out Sebastian's crutches.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry to hear about all that! That's crazy! So you have to get your leg reset even after all that? Sheesh." Ken said sadly, rubbing his forehead.

Sebastian nodded and agreed trying to look nonchalant about it all but talking about this all again was making Sebastian feel nauseated. It was hard to keep reliving it over and over, especially after their emotional meeting just an hour prior.

Ken stepped away for a moment to go grab their usual scone and bagel. While he was gone, Sebastian leaned heavily on his elbow against the table, swirling the milk in his coffee.

"Are you okay?" Rylee asked in a worried tone, reaching across the table to grasp at Sebastian's open hand. He let her, and she gave it a small squeeze, rubbing her thumb along his knuckles before she pulled her hand back.

Sebastian just nodded, throwing on a smile that didn't quite reach to where it would normally settle.

Ken quickly returned with their delights and went on his way to help another customer that had just walked in.

Out of the blue, Sebastian spoke quietly, "Its been hard today. I didn't expect it to be...but that video was unbelievably unsettling. I can't believe I could've reached out and touched that guy that day..."

Rylee reached back out for his hand like she did a few moments ago, trying to provide him some comfort, "I can imagine. But at least now, we let the dust settle a bit. The police are handling it, we can take a breath."

Sebastian nodded again in agreement, but was still a bit shaken inside from the thought of it all.

They took their time eating and drinking their coffee, but Sebastian never quite got through either of his items. He broke off small bites of his bagel and took occasional small sips of coffee, but his thoughts were elsewhere and his stomach was rolling because of it.

They both agreed that they were finished and decided to head out, making their way towards the door, saying goodbye to Ken. Rylee stayed in front of Sebastian to open doors for him and clear a path since he needed a bit of space for his crutches. Luckily they had gotten a decently close parking spot and only had to go a block down the street to get to the car.

Sebastian wasn't paying attention and was taken aback when someone jogged by quickly, looking as though they were late for a meeting. He went by so fast that he clipped the bottom of one of Sebastian's crutches and swept it out from under him, causing him to fall right onto his back.

Rylee had turned at the sound and gasped aloud scurrying over to check on him, but she ended up losing her own footing and ended up falling face first on top of Sebastian.

At first Sebastian was pissed. The stranger who swept his crutch out hadn't even noticed they did it and kept on walking down the slippery sidewalk, but when Rylee fell too, he just broke out into a fit of laughter.

He stayed on the sidewalk for a minute, his jacket and pants starting to soak in the grey snowy mush of the path but he didn't care.

Rylee joined in with Sebastian's laughter and realized that they had both needed this dumb little thing to happen today. They needed something stupid to make them laugh after their stressful morning.

Rylee scrambled for a moment but eventually got her footing and stood back up. She opened the passenger door and then leaned over offering Sebastian a hand up, to which he took easily, leaning heavily on his right leg to stand. He got himself situated and made his way into the car, thanking the inventor of heated seats as he cracked the setting to high.

During their drive home, Sebastian had seemed to lose the momentum of the funny moment from earlier as his thoughts swam around "Kevin McGrath."

——————————

When they got home, Rylee could still tell that Sebastian wasn't feeling like himself. He decided to go take a nap, so Rylee went to cuddle in with him. He stripped down to just his boxer briefs to get comfortable, and Rylee changed into some soft pajamas.

After around two hours Rylee woke up, encircled by Sebastian. He practically had a death grip on her in his sleep. She went to sit up, but she had to basically pry his arm off.

Once she had escaped Sebastian's grasp, she slowly ducked under the covers, and pulled at his boxer briefs. Allowing his half hard cock to bounce out against his thigh.

She took it in her hand and teased it with her finger tips, leaning down to give him small licks around the head. And with those few movements, he was already rock hard, precum leaking out slowly.

Sebastian stirred awake, eyes half closed. He let out a long moan of Rylee's name. He couldn't see her under the sheet, but he definitely knew she was down there.

"Hey handsome," Rylee greeted with a pop, "this okay?" She knew he'd say yes, because they'd done this before, but she always liked to hear him melt underneath her touch when he said yes."

"So very okay...fuck Rylee..." Sebastian replied, tossing his head back onto the pillows.

He could feel her smiling against his length as she licked up the vein on the underside of his cock, once, twice, three times, always ending with a swift lick around the head.

She sank down, taking in his entirety, touching the back of her throat with a moan both from her and him.

All Sebastian could see was the sheet at his waist bobbing up and down but man, he could feel it. Rylee was so unbelievably good at blowjobs.

He could occasionally feel her gag when his cock hit the back of her throat, but that made her mouth tighten up and made it feel even more exquisite.

"Rylee you feel so good...Always take me so good."

Rylee moaned in response, still down as far as she could go, attempting to also swirl her tongue around him.

Sebastian snuck his hands under the sheet to lace his fingers into Rylee's hair to encourage her rhythm, though she really didn't need any help.

She moaned louder when he pulled her hair tightly in his grasp. She loved the sensation and loved when he took some of the control.

She could feel him tensing up already, "oh fuck Rylee. I'm gonna cum..."

"Mhmm," she mumbled against his cock as it started to twitch in her mouth. She popped off for a moment to say "cum for me baby."

And soon enough he was unloading onto her tongue. "Fuckkk Rylee. God I love you."

She pushed the sheet over her shoulders, popping her head out to show Sebastian what he had left on her tongue. She immediately swallowed what was there and showed him again, "You always taste so, so good baby."

Sebastian pulled Rylee up to him, and dove into kissing her, his tongue practically begging for entrance at her lips, to which she obliged quickly, tasting himself on her.

"That's a nice way to wake up." Sebastian chuckled.

Rylee smiled widely, she was about to say something when there was a knock at the door. They both threw their heads back into the pillows simultaneously groaning. Sebastian tucked himself in quickly and pulled the covers over both of them as Chris opened the door.

"Hey guys how was th- oh shit sorry. Hope I didn't interrupt something."

"Consider us, interrupted." Sebastian laughed.

"But you're already here, so, what's up."

Chris plopped down on the couch, "My bad, just wanted to see how today went and come see yah before tomorrow."

Rylee got up, to Chris' relief she was fully clothed, and went to get a few bottles of water from the fridge, tossing one to Chris and handing the other extra to Sebastian.

Sebastian sat up against the headboard and chugged half of what was in his hand. He hadn't realized how thirsty he was.

As Rylee went to sit criss cross on the end of the bed below Sebastian's feet, she responded, "Today went pretty good. We voiced our concerns about Michael and the police took it seriously, which they haven't always done in the past so..." she took a swig of water, ending her sentence with a shrug.

"Well that's good. So what happens now?"

"Now we wait I guess. The police have everyone's reviews. They have our court recording. It's all up to them at this point."

Chris nodded, taking a sip of water.

They all sat together, hanging out for a bit. Eventually, Sebastian stood up slowly, still just in his boxer briefs, and pulled on a pair of basketball shorts.

He hopped a few steps to grab his crutches and made his way to the bathroom.

"Do you think Seb's gonna be okay tomorrow?" Chris whispered to Rylee quietly.

"I think physically he'll end up okay, but mentally I think the idea of being awake during the surgery is messing with him. Dr. Singh is great though, so he's in good hands."

"Well, you know Alexa and I are here for you both. Wherever. Whenever."

"Yeah, we really appreciate and love you both, honestly."

"You guys are stuck with us for life. We love you too."

"So. You two sound a lot more serious lately." Rylee wiggled her eyebrows at him.

Chris rolled his eyes and laughed, "Yeah, I'd like to think so."

"I think you and Alexa are great together. She only ever says good things about you, and she would definitely tell me if you were being shitty." Rylee laughed.

"Oh, I know she would," Chris laughed in return.

Sebastian came back into the room at that point and sat on the couch beside Chris. They all continued chatting away, relaxing into the early evening as the sun slowly started to go down behind the tall surrounding buildings.
