《Actions Speak Louder Than Fortune Cookies》29 - Off To Georgia

Rylee and Sebastian made sure not to waste any of their last moments before he had to leave, most of it spent just how the first hour had gone, in bed and loving it. The other portion of there time still involved the bed, but they spent it cuddled close together, talking in a whisper to one another, soaking each other in.

Sebastian turned his head to look at his alarm clock and the time read 6:55. "Ugh. We've gotta get going." Sebastian pouted.

Rylee sat up on one of her elbows, turning towards Sebastian and placing her open hand on his chest, "What if, hypothetically, you justttt don't go? What are the chances the Russos will forgive you." Rylee smirked.

Sebastian looked at her and chuckled, rolling his eyes,"Yeah, that would go over well," he made a pretend phone out of his thumb and pinky and held it to his ear, "'Hey! I can't fly to Atlanta this week...nah, I wanna have nonstop sex with my girlfriend. Hope you don't mind.'"

Rylee laughed heartily at his mocking tone and pushed him lightly, sitting up and rolling out of bed. She put her bra and panties back on, along with her jean shorts and her Ruby's tank top, but she eyed up one of Sebastian's favorite hoodies draped over a chair in the corner.

Sebastian got out of bed and redressed into what he was wearing earlier as well, jeans, and a red t-shirt. He walked out of the bedroom and made his way towards the bathroom.

"Ryles..." Sebastian called.

"Yeah?" She said as she picked up the hoodie she was just eyeing, slipping it on as she walked to the bathroom.

"Ericas gonna kill me." He stated before she had made it completely to the bathroom.

"Oh. Whoops," was all Rylee could say when she saw that, yes, Erica was indeed going to kill him. Erica is his make up artist on set and she's officially got her work cut out for her. Sebastian found two decent sized hickeys in the crevice of his neck, one right beside the other.

"Well, nothing to do about it now." Sebastian shrugged.

"Sorry." Rylee said, in a not so sorry tone.

"Pfft. I'm not. You know that spot gets me good." Sebastian laughed, leaning over and pressing a kiss to Rylee's lips.

Fifteen minutes later Rylee and Sebastian were out the door, loading up his car and heading to drop off Rylee at her apartment.

Sebastian laced his fingers with Rylee's and held tight to her hand the entire ride, rubbing the top of it with his thumb absentmindedly.

Their trip seemed faster than usual, probably because they both didn't want to part, but Sebastian noticed that they some how caught a lot of green lights through the bulk of their travel.

Soon enough, Sebastian pulled up in front of Rylee's building.

"Well..." Sebastian said quietly as he looked at Rylee.

"I'll miss you." Rylee said, oozing sadness.

"I'll miss you too, Ry." Sebastian said, tilting his head over to touch their foreheads together.

"At least it's only a week." Rylee shyly pointed out.

"Yep. Only a week." Sebastian had been trying to repeat this mantra to himself all night, knowing how much he was going to miss her.

"Text me when you get there okay?" Rylee asked gently.

"Sure thing, doll." Sebastian tried to smile, but it didn't quite meet his eyes.

Rylee got out of the car and so did Sebastian, both of them meeting on the sidewalk.

Before Rylee could say anything Sebastian grabbed her face and pulled her in to a searing passionate kiss. She melted into it, putting her arms around the back of his neck for support.

Rylee pulled away, touching her forehead to Sebastian's. "Be safe, don't do anything dumb."

"Oh, I can't make promises about being dumb." Sebastian laughed, "you know Mackie's gonna be there..."

"Oh, stop," Rylee laughed back. "Alright. You, mister, should get going. I'll see you next week."

"See you next week," Sebastian said as he snuck in one more long, glorious kiss.

Sebastian leaned against his car as he watched her walk inside. He gave Theo the doorman a quick wave as he let her inside, greeting her politely as he usually did.

Rylee turned around to look out the glass door and blew Sebastian a kiss with a smile.

He pretended to catch it and slide it in his pocket, making her laugh. He was glad that, if he wasn't going to see her for a week, at least the last glimpse he got was of her laughing that beautiful laugh.

Sebastian walked around his car to get inside, and made his way to the airport, the midmorning sun lighting the way down the busy New York street.

Rylee was camped out on her couch, reading yet another book, One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus. This time it was at least a new story for her, instead of rereading an old favorite for the fifth time. She thought once Sebastian left that she would go right to bed, but when she got inside she realized how wide awake she was.

As she focused on the page, her phone pinged with a new notification. She picked it up and saw it was a message from Sebastian.

Hey babe

Just got on the plane.

Mackies already a lunatic.

Pray for me.

She couldn't help but laugh at his pleas.

It's a two hour flight, I think you'll survive. 😂

But good luck none the less.

☹️

We're about to take off, I'll call you when we get settled in Atlanta

😘 Alrighty talk to you in a bit

She checked the clock. 9:35. She would normally be dead asleep right now, but her anxiety decided to peak. She knew that 99% of airplane travel was fine but she wouldn't feel at ease until he called her saying they were at the hotel safe and sound.

She tried to brush off the feeling and decided to head out to the gym, hopefully to help work out her nerves. She got dressed and packed up what she would need for the day and made her way out the door and quickly down the street to her usual subway terminal.

After about a ten minute ride she got out of her train car and made her way up the steps to the sunny New York street above. She turned the next corner and used her key fob to enter the familiar building. Rylee was glad Sebastian introduced her to this gym, she enjoyed that it was a little more private. There were still a good handful of people, but you didn't have to wait half as long for equipment as you do at other places.

She put her stuff in the ladies locker room and got comfortable, taking off her hoodie and wearing black leggings with a red sports bra.

She came out, head phones in, ready to take on the morning. She started blasting the workout playlist on Spotify that Sebastian had recommended to her a while ago and it was the perfect motivator.

She started out with free weights since they were the closest open thing to her at that moment. She didn't entirely love them, but she was glad to get them out of the way first.

After a while she switched to the tread mill and eventually over to the other side of the gym to tackle some squats with the kettle bells.

A few minutes in, she felt a tingle up her spine, like someone was watching her. She stopped for a moment, holding the kettle bell in both hands as she stood up straight, and looked around nonchalantly. She not only saw no one looking at her, but everyone was minding their own space, focusing on what they were doing themselves.

She tried to shake off the feeling and continued on, trying to allow the music to distract her. She was facing an entire wall of mirrors and she couldn't keep her eyes from darting across the entire length, making sure she wasn't going crazy.

The only person she noticed that looked a little peculiar was a man in gym attire and a baseball cap sitting on a bench across the room holding his phone down near his lap, but tilted up slightly. Sort of like he was sneaking photos. Which realistically, he probably was, since Sebastian said this was a bit of a celebrity gym, someone would probably come in here to do that.

She shrugged the man off and continued her reps, finishing out strong. She decided to be done for the day after that, and grabbed her things to head home. As she left, she did see the same man from earlier in the lobby, though she never saw his face since he always seemed to be looking down, his hat covering him.

She threw on a chipper smile and said goodbye to the girl at the front desk, who Rylee was pretty sure disliked her for whatever reason. She sent her a fake smile and a "have a great day" back and went back to her texting.

It was a beautiful day outside. Even though it was June, it was a pretty cool 74 degree day. Rylee decided to take advantage of it and walked the few blocks it took to reach Round Corner Cafe. She absolutely loved days like today and wanted to soak it in as much as she could.

After walking 15 or so minutes, she finally made it. She walked in the front door, bell ringing above her, announcing her arrival.

Ken poked his head out from the back and gave her a hearty wave and a "one minute" finger as he dove back behind the wall.

She gave him a thumbs up and threw her bag down on the floor near her favorite chair by the front window. She started scrolling through her phone as she walked back up to the counter.

A minute or two later Ken popped out from the kitchen, "Hey there Rye bread, how's it going."

"Oh not too bad," she always smirked at the loving nickname, "how's life been here?"

Her and Ken talked for a few minutes as he prepared her usual cold brew coffee and scone. When he was done, they said their goodbyes and she went on her way back to her seat with her delights in hand.

She sat down, criss cross on the chair and continued scrolling through her phone, catching up on Instagram. She scrolled and ran across an article that caught her eye, it was dated back a few weeks, but it still peaked her interest.

Y'all, we can't get enough of Sebastian Stan over here at E!News! Especially when he does stuff like this! A source caught Seb running into the store and coming out with what looked like Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup and bottles of Gatorade.

Oh, just wait there's more. He walked down the next block to a florist and came out with a magnificent bouquet of flowers. After, he went back to his car, he didn't drive home, but to another residence, according to another eyewitness source.

You're going to have to scrape me off the floor because I'm a puddle just thinking about it!

Sebastian looked in good health, but our source believes he went to see the mystery girl. Hopefully she feels well!

Stay tuned for more Sebastian Stan news!

Rylee laughed reading the article. At least it was a positive one.

It was a week or two old at this point. That was the day he brought all of that over to her house when she was sick. She smiled at the thought of how caring and thoughtful he was that day. She guessed that Sebastian hadn't seen this write up since he didn't bring it up to her. She copied the link and sent it to him. She knew he was probably off the plane now, or about to be, but he could look at it later.

She continued scrolling through her social media for about half an hour as she finished up her coffee.

Her screen changed quickly beneath her finger. Sebastian was calling.

"Hey there."

"Hey you. We finally ma- it"

"That's good I'm glad. How was the flight?

"It w- good. Mackie wasn't a tot- loon but you kno- him, it's only a matter - time"

Rylee pouted a bit listening to Sebastian talk. She was happy he was doing well, but she couldn't hear half of what he was saying, "hey babe, you're cutting out really bad."

"I know I'm sor- -st found out the area we're i- doesn't have good serv-"

Even with the terrible reception, Rylee could hear the sadness in Sebastian's voice.

"It's okay, why don't you text me in a bit when you're all settled."

"Okay, b-" not surprisingly, the call disconnected.

Rylee sighed, about to pick up her things and head out the door, when her phone pinged.

Hey. Sorry. We apparently have like..no service in this area. So that's great. ☹️

Oh no 🙁

Yeah, hopefully texts will still send through. So far so good on that. Miss you

I miss you too

Sorry if I woke you up. I know you had a long morning 😏

Nah, I haven't slept yet. I ran out to the gym and I'm just finishing up a coffee at RCC

about to leave

Ugh I'm jealous

That'll be our first stop when you get back then 😘

Rylee started walking out on the street towards the closest subway terminal. She had her head down as she went, texting away to Sebastian, when she accidentally bumped into a man standing outside the subway entrance.

"I'm so sorry," she said putting out her hands in apology as she walked. The man also stuck his out in a "that's okay" manner, but didn't speak.

She didn't fully look up at the man but the quick glimpse of him looked familiar. She continued her trek down the stairs and hopped on the train home.
