《Snatched》Chapter 45

"Who the fuck are you."
"Your mom." you replied automatically not looking up
Why does that voice sound so familiar, it's the same one I heard before.
You looked up to try and find out who it was when you saw Twice pointing at your group dramatically. "Hey I know these kids!"
"Oh hey Twice, see I told you I'd come back."
"Nice seeing you again Y/n.
Why am I here? Come on twice.
"I was just in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop by." you said your voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Move Twice." that same voice instructed. Before you could even look at everyone in the clearing, a huge pillar of blue fire came rushing towards you and your friends.
"Um rUdE-"
That fire...
Shoji and Izuku yelled in pain as they just barely dodged, but while your instincts were screaming at you to get out of the way, something about the fire was entrancing.
Blue fire... it's so pretty
As the fire blasted towards you you reached out your hand.
Blue fire never hurt me before
Just as it was about to hit you, you were grabbed roughly by the back of your shirt and tugged out of the way.
"Y/n watch out!" Shoto said pulling you farther away from the fire and creating a wall of ice that separated you from the rest of your friends. "What are you doing you could've been killed!" he rested you on the ground and crouched down beside you to shake you aggressively.
"What-but before..."
"What are you talking about! Have you seen this villain with the fire quirk before?"
The word villain snapped you out of your daze "What no, of course not. I'm sorry Sho I don't know what that was."
He looked at you worriedly "I shouldn't have let you come with us, your injuries are messing with your head. I'm so sorry Y/n."
"Excuse you, if I know one thing for sure it's that my two brain cells are working just fine thank you very much."
Prepare to die!" Twice suddenly cut through Shoto's ice wall with what looked like a measuring tape, and came running at the two of you.
"Aw Twice, I can't believe you've done this" You immediately took some of Shotos' quirk and tried to keep Twice away using ice, but the villain was just too nimble to freeze in place.
Shoto stared blankly at you for a moment but quickly joined you in trying to freeze twice "You never cease to amaze me Y/n," he smiled to himself knowing you were too focused to see "That's why I love you."
...
"Wait, what-"
"Come on you two we've got them!" Izuku suddenly came blasting through the ice barrier with Shoji, who was holding two blue marbles in his hand.
You threw up an ice wall and struggled to get to your feet. "Thank god! Katsuki's never living this one down."
"How!?" Shoto asked, pulling you up and helping you run towards them.
"They're somehow in these marbles!" Shoji informed you.

"Did you say marbles?" you giggled to yourself, already getting a stupid idea and deciding whatever just happened with Shoto could wait.
"It's the masked villains quirk, Shoji grabbed them from his pocket, we've just got to get back to camp!"
Oh I can NOT miss this opportunity.
You looked over your shoulder towards where the villains were, for some reason, not coming after you, and stared directly at the masked villain.
"HEY MASKY! You'd better be careful or you're gonna LOSE YOUR MARBLES!"
"Y/n now is not the time for vine references!" Izuku scolded you
"It's always time for a vine reference-ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" Your group skidded to a halt as a huge teal Nomu stepped out of the trees in front of you. "How do they keep getting uglier!?"
You made eye contact with the huge creature and shuddered, not only was it ugly, this one was terrifying.
"Come on, this way!" Shoto instructed leading your group left, only to immediately be stopped by a huge cloud of purple smoke blocking your route.
Oh god no
"It's five minutes past the meeting time, let's go Dabi." The warp gate villain opened portals beside each of the villains.
You suddenly felt a chill go down your spine and you could tell immediately you weren't winning this one.
Something is wrong... something is really wrong.
The blond villain that you saw earlier waved to you. "Bye Y/n! I know I didn't officially meet you but I'll see you soon enough!" she then stepped into the portal and disappeared.
Twice did the same, waving and then jumping into the warp gate.
"Hold on."
You whipped your head towards the last portal finally seeing who the familiar voice belonged to. The villain stood next to Mr. Compress, purple scars covered his arms and face and he had spiky black hair which looked as if it had been dyed.
You held in a sigh of relief, you'd never met someone who looked like him before.
"We're not leaving without the kid."
"Don't worry." Mr Compress waved his hand dismissively "They were so proud of themselves for rooting through my pockets that I thought I'd let them gloat."
What?
"But allow me to explain a basic tenant of magic, if I'm flaunting something shiny..." he removed his mask
Your eyes widened
"It's because there's something else I don't want you to see." He stuck out his tough to reveal two much larger marbles.
"He's got them!" Izuku and Shoto yelled in unison
"You see, I prepared two fakes earlier and planted them so that you would never find the originals."
You tore yourself away from Shoto and started desperately sprinting towards the villains before they could take your friends away from you.
"Y/N!"
Your friends tried to stop you but quickly started running too.
Your ankles were completely shattered and you could feel your bones piercing your flesh, but you didn't stop. The pain was worse then you'd experienced before but the thought of losing Katsuki and Fumikage was a million times worse.

Compress smirked and started backing into the warp gate.
You cried out in pain "STOP!"
"A little bit of miss-direction, forgive me."
"NO PLEASE!" you shrieked, your voice racked with so much anguish you made the villain hesitate for a moment.
"Apologies Y/n. One final bow and then the curtain will close."
Come on Y/n faster!
With a final burst of adrenaline you pulled ahead of your friends, trying to just get close enough to do something, anything.
Just as the villain bent down, a blue beam shot out from the forest knocking off his mask and sending the marbles flying.
You knew it was Aoyama, you'd seen him hiding in the bushes but you didn't have time to think about him now. You threw yourself forward, reaching out into the air at just the right moment to grab one of the marbles while another hand grabbed the second one.
You caught a glimpse of the reflection and saw a frozen version of Tokoyami. You twisted in the air chucking the marble as far away from the villains as possible and hit the ground hard.
You looked up frantically trying to see who saved Katsuki, only to find the blue sphere in the purplish hand of a villain.
Your heart clenched painfully in your chest.
God fucking damn it, I didn't save them both, it's my fault.
You dropped your head, your body going limp, you couldn't keep fighting.
your friends yelled, desperately trying to get close enough to rip you away from the villains.
"One more step and I'll burn her to a crisp." the villain threatened, freezing your friends in their tracks "This works out well. We get the girl and the boy we need, no substitutes."
You weren't surprised, you figured out they wanted you when you met Mr Compress, how else would he have known your name, you had to be someone important to them.
The villain pulled you roughly to your feet but you immediately collapsed.
"What's wrong with you." He scoffed pocketing the marble and roughly holding you off the ground with one arm
You didn't say anything, you didn't know if you could, your vision was fading in and out, you could barely stay awake.
You once again failed and now you were going to make someone else suffer for it.
Katsuki, I'm so sorry, I couldn't save you, don't ever forgive me.
"When I ask you something you should respond." he snarled digging his fingers into your arms
You still didn't move, you knew Shoto, Izuku, Shoji and Aoyama were just watching in shock. They probably couldn't move or speak either.
"I said you should respond!" the villain grabbed your chin and yanked your head up so you would look at him.
You gazed apathetically at his scared face, the fire in your eyes diminished leaving only a shell of what you were only moments ago. As you looked up at him, you were met with a feature you hadn't seen before.
Blue eyes.
Gorgeous blue eyes.
The same color as the fire that never hurt you.
The same color as Shoto's
The same color as the eyes of first person you lost
You finally reached your limit as your own eyes widened in shock, all the pieces finally coming together.
"T-Touya?"
It took a moment before you completely passed out. In that moment the villain who held you stiffened and then spoke quietly.
"Y/n... Y/n L/n?" His voice broke halfway through your name as if he had just realized something he hadn't before.
The last thing you heard were the throat ripping screams of grief of your friends as they finally found their voices.

"What happened after you were informed of the villain's whereabouts?" Detective Tsukauchi wrote on his note pad as Aizawa told him everything he knew.
"Tsuyu led me to the clearing that the group of students had met the villains in but I... I was too late." he cringed remembering the feeling of knowing he had not only let down his students but he had let down his niece.
"When you got there both Y/n L/n and Katsuki Bakugo had been taken by the villains, correct? What of the boys who were there."
"They were hysterical. Tokoyami's quirk had once again gotten out of control, most likely due to his spike in emotions. Shoji was searching desperately for something muttering to himself about how Y/n couldn't' have disappeared. He was in denial."
Aizawa took a deep breath, seeing his normally strong students in such unnatural states was jarring and he hated reliving the emotions that had been coursing through him that day.
"If you need to take a break..." Tsukauchi began
"No it's fine. Midoriya was livid, he was screaming, so loudly that any normal person would have to cover their ears but the boys in that clearing didn't even notice it. And Todoroki..." He shuddered remembering the blank look on the boy's face "Was just standing there, staring at where I assume the villains were last, he wasn't talking or moving, he was barely breathing. When I tried to get close to him he snapped, I was just fast enough to erase his quirk before he destroyed the forest. In short we had to sedate all of them."
Tsukauchi nodded "But luckily only two of them were badly injured, and what of the other students' reactions to knowing about what happened to Bakugo and Y/n."
Aizawa clenched his hands under the table "I haven't told them."
"What?" Tsukauchi dropped his pen
"I told them about Bakugo and they could barely handle it, I couldn't bring myself to tell them Y/n was kidnapped as well. As far as they know she's in serious condition at the hospital and isn't taking visitors."
Tsukauchi shook his head "Shota, that's cruel and you know it, what will you do when they find out? The other boys will tell them that-"
"I know!" Aizawa blurted out, startling the detective "Sorry, I just... I don't know what to do." he dropped his head into his hands "Tsukauchi, I can't lose her too, I lost my sister before, she's all I have left."
"I know Shota, we'll find her. I promise."
