《Snatched》Chapter 31

You woke up early in the morning due to your phone going off like crazy. You rolled over groggily and checked the time, you still had a hour before you had to get up so you decided to answer the people who were up and texting you early in the morning.
You realized it was mostly Izuku texting you franticly that he'd been up all night training and he had discovered something about his quirk that he couldn't wait to show you. You told him you were exited to see whatever it was but that he should go to sleep.
The other person texting you was astonishingly Katsuki, who was aggressively demanding information about hair products.
You waited for a while, knowing he would give in.
Katsuki was interning with Best Jeanist, who was notorious for having all of the people at his agency wear denim and look prim and proper. You assumed Katsuki was no exception and you needed to have a picture for blackmail.
After three minutes your received a message of a furious looking Katsuki with completely flat hair.
You expected him to immediately send you a sarcastic response but he didn't respond for a while, and then he sent you the one response you never thought he'd send.
You had nothing to say, you were shocked, flabbergasted, shooketh to the core.
I am confusion.
After recovering from your state of shock, you returned to replying to your friends, Kirishima ended up in the same agency as the guy he faced in the sports festival and they were getting along. Ochaco was learning a lot from Gunhead at her internship and Shoto told you he and his father were going to work in the city.
Before you knew it, you had to get up and meet Sir Nighteye in his office, so you finished nagging Shoto to be safe, and got changed, shoving you phone in your pocket.

"Today I will be sending you with Bubble Girl and Mirio to patrol Hosu City" Sir Nighteye informed you "Mirio assured me that you were ready for a larger role after you worked with him yesterday, and I will allow that under a few conditions."
You were beyond excited, after taking down a bunch of villains yesterday, you discovered you really enjoyed kicking their asses and also seeing the relieved faces of the onlookers after the thugs were apprehended.
"The conditions are as follows, you are not to leave the sight of Bubble Girl or Mirio, you may not use the quirk of someone before you are 100% sure of what it is, and if you come in contact with the Hero Killer Stain, you are to engage."
"Sounds easy enough."
"I would hope so, you leave immediately."
"Okey Dokey see you later Sir!"
You bolted out of the room before he gave you anymore restrictions, and slid down the banister on the stairs.
"Alright, Y/n's here let's go!" Bubble Girl clapped her hands.
"Yeah!" Mirio cheered.
The three of you caught a train to Hosu City and you decided to take that time to ask the questions to were too afraid to ask Sir Nighteye.
"Okay so I have a few questions."

"Shoot!" Mirio declared a little too loudly, making a few people turn to look at you.
"Firstly, why are there three of us? I'm not complaining but three seems like a lot for patroling."
Bubble girl nodded "Well, the crime rate in Hosu city has been very high recently, so Sir thought it best to send more people than normal to help out... also you know of the Hero Killer right?"
You nodded.
"Then you know we have reason to believe he is in Hosu City right now. We have orders to deal with the smaller villains while the Hosu agencies find and detain him."
"Why can't we also help with the search?"
"With an intern and a work study student? Not the best idea."
"Yeah that's probably a good call." you eyed Mirio who was going around assuring people he didn't have a gun to calm them down, but making them more worried in the process.
"I wouldn't be surprised if other agencies are doing the same thing and brining their interns to Hosu for some field work."
"Actually, two of my classmates are going to be there."
"We'll get to meet some of your friends Y/n?" Mirio asked, sliding into the seat beside you.
"I doubt we'll run into them, Hosu is a big city." Bubble Girl explained
Iida's interning in Hosu city... where the Hero Killer is... the Hero Killer who injured his brother...
"I have an unrelated hypothetical question."
"Sure, what is it?"
"If there is a hypothetical person who has a friend who potentially wants to find the hero killer, what advise would you give them?"
Your two companions gave each other a look and then Bubble Girl took the lead speaking carefully so you wouldn't misunderstand her.
"I would tell that person to let the ' friend who potentially wants to find the hero killer 's agency take care of them, and not go running into dangerous situations on a hunch."
You bit your lip "Okay... but what if this hypothetical person is still really worried for their friend?"
Mirio spoke this time "I would tell them that there are a whole lot of hypothetical heroes in that hypothetical area who can help with any hypothetical issues."
Bubble Girl face palmed.
"Thanks guys." you smiled taking out your phone only to find that Iida hadn't responded to your texts.
Well that's not reassuring.
***
The three of you arrived in Hosu City by noon and wasted no time getting right into apprehending villains.
By the time the sun set, you had caught more villains than you thought possible and were finishing up fighting a group of thugs who were harassing people on the street.
"Okay, but listen, if you didn't try to kick me in the head, I wouldn't have grabbed your foot and we wouldn't be in this situation right now."
You saw him raise his fist so you flipped him over your shoulder and restrained him with handcuffs. You were working on arresting villains without using your quirk as much, but with Bubble Girl there, you always had a quirk to use if you needed it.

"That's the last one!" you called out to your partners, dragging the guy over to the police van.
"Great job Y/n!" Mirio gave you a high five "How many so far?"
"I think I'm at twenty? You?"
"Darn it I'm falling behind, only eighteen."
"Eighteen? I've got twenty six." Bubble Girl came up behind you.
"Aw man." you groaned.
To make things more challenging, the three of you had started counting how many villains you each stopped, you thought you were doing great but the numbers kept jumping around.
"Don't complain Y/n, you were in the lead for a solid hour there."
"And you've been in the lead for three."
She laughed and you and Mirio sighed knowing you'd never beat her, she was much more experienced after all.
Bubble Girl patted you both on the back "It's getting pretty late, we should start heading back to the station soon."
The second she finished talking a huge explosion shook the ground.
"Look over there!" Someone yelled pointing to smoke rising in the distance.
A lot of it.
"Let's go!" Instructed Bubble Girl, wasting no time in running towards the source of the smoke.
You and Mirio glanced at each other before following closely behind.
The explosions and screams of terrified people got louder as you ran, there was fire everywhere and people running in every direction.
What the hell is going on!
You pushed through the stream of people evacuating and finally found what seemed to be the center of the madness.
Then you saw something you hoped you would never see again.
"Nomu?!"
The huge birdlike creature turned your direction, it was just like the one you saw as the USJ, but this one had wings. It was surrounded by other heroes trying to contain it.
"Holly shit you're still hideous!" you almost gagged seeing it's brains exposed on it's head.
"You know what this thing is?!" One of the pro heroes you asked you.
"Yes! It is generically manufactured, the only way you can stop it is to restrain it!" You instructed recalling the incident at the USJ.
The Nomu screeched and picked up a car hurtling it at you. You dove out of the way just in time, shielding yourself with your arms when it exploded.
"Maybe restrain it sooner rather than later!"
"We know kid, we're working on it!"
"Negate!" Bubble Girl yelled "Be careful, you too Lemillion, we're going to help out!"
"Got it!" you both said
You and Bubble Girl began using her quirk to try and restrain the Nomu when you heard another huge explosion from behind you.
You whipped your head around and were greeted by another fabulous Nomu.
"Hello there-"
It barreled towards you causing you to duck under it's legs, something you thought you would only have to experience once.
"That wasn't very plus ultra of you Nomu."
The creature ran back towards you so you used the broken remains of a car to hop onto its shoulder.
"Can you believe it Nomu, you're even more disguising up close, you always find a way to impress me."
The creature tried to throw you off by moving around, and tried to punch you off it's shoulder but it's arms weren't made for shoulder touching so it couldn't reach.
"I don't know who made you Nomu, but having short arms is a big design flaw, just look at that other Nomu over there it has long arms, why can't you be like it."
It screeched loudly trying to bite you so you kicked it in the jaw.
"Wait, I know, was it the CEO of hands guy? Tell him he needs to rethink some things."
The Nomu shrieked again and aggressively rammed it's head into a wall in an attempt to crush you but you slid down it's back.
"I don't think you should do that, you don't exactly have a skull to protect those lovely brains of yours- oh, you're not moving, are you stuck my man?"
You walked to the other side of the thick wall and saw the Nomu's head sticking out, it was trapped in the cement with it's arms glued to it's sides, no matter how hard it tried to get out, it was stuck.
Oof
"Got one!" you informed the heroes.
"You're joking?! stopped one of those things?!" one of the pro heroes gawked at the unmoving monster.
"We were just talking and I guess he would rather be in the wall than enjoy my company."
"Great job Negate! Keep it up!" Mirio called out.
"Negate huh, I'll remember that." the pro hero looked you over before returning to his job.
You took a moment to rest, making quick decisions and jumping around wasn't easy. You tried to take deep breaths but there was so much smoke it was hard to breathe.
There shouldn't be this much fire unless... Endeavor. Of course he's setting things on fire and not putting them out, fucking jackass.
Wait... if Endeavor is close, so is Shoto.
"Get out of the way kid!"
You just managed to move before a Nomu came flying, landing right where you were standing.
"What's with you kids and causing problems? First Manual's intern ran off and then that green haired kid with a bunny suit and now you."
"Sorry!" you jumped over the Nomu's leg as it tried to kick you away. "You don't have to be rude about it." you mumbled under your breath.
Wait, Manual... that's the name of the hero Tenya was interning with...green hair and a bunny suit that sounds like Izuku.
Your phone buzzed in your pocket.
You would have left it but you had a really bad feeling, you pulled back and grabbed your phone, Izuku had sent you his location with no context... he was only a few blocks away from you.
Everything started coming together.
"God dammit." you glanced at the heroes fighting the Nomus and back down at your phone.
"Bubble Girl I have to go!"
"What? What are you talking about!?"
"It's me, I'm 'person who has a friend who potentially wants to find the hero killer' and it's not potential anymore!"
You apologized silently while she studied your face, she was desperately trying to keep the Nomu restrained so if you ran she couldn't stop you and Mirio was too far away to notice.
I can't waste anymore time.
"I'm really sorry I'll be careful!" you sent her one last apologetic glace before sprinting to the location Izuku sent you.
"Y/n! Come back!"
