《Snatched》Chapter 3

You chucked your bag into a locker and grabbed your PE uniform. The girls behind you were silent while they changed.
Ugh this is so awkward you thought, deciding to break the suffocating silence.
"Umm... Hi everyone, my name is Y/n L/n but you can just call me Y/n if you want..."
The girls were silent for a moment and your face turned bright pink thinking you had just broken some unspoken rule of silence in the locker room.
"Uhh, I umm" you stuttered out looking to Yaoyorozu for help.
"I'm Tsuyu Asui," the wired tongue girl spoke up sending you a sweet smile "but you can just call me Tsu."
"I'm Ochaco Uraraka" another girl chimed in. She had short brown hair and extremely pink cheeks.
The other girls introduced themselves and you made mental notes to try and remember their names.
Cotton candy girl is Mina Ashido
Earbud girl is Kyoka Jiro
Floating clothes is in fact a girl, and her name is Toru Hagakure
Yaoyorozu introduced herself and smiled brightly.
The pink girl, what was her name, struck up a conversation about how she couldn't believe that Aizawa was actually a teacher and you were all laughing as you made your way outside.

"What!? A quirk assessment test!?" the class was shocked by the test on the first day.
"But orientation, we're going to miss it!" Uraraka exclaimed
You weren't surprised by the pop assessment at all.
Shota always pulls something like this, I wonder if I have to actually use my quirk?
Your teacher went on for a while about not having to follow rules and some other boring shit while you stared off into space jamming along to the Minecraft parody songs playing in your head.
"DIE!"
You jumped back in surprise not ready for an explosion to almost throw you off your feet.

"Damn son!" you hollered watching the baseball fly through the air, the angry Pomerania who threw it smirking at your reaction.
"All of you need to know your capabilities" you teacher droned "It's the most rational way to figure out your potential as a pro hero" Aizawa turned around and showed you all the distance that the ball had been through.
Your entire class was shocked.
"Wow 705 meters are you kidding me?!" Pikachu called out
"I wan't to go! That looks like fun" Mina added
Mina! that's her name! you smiled at your small triumph
"You think it's fun? You have three years here to become a hero, you think its all going to be games and play time?" a sinister look appeared on Aizawa's face.
Oh no, this is bad
"Idiots, today you will compete in eight physical test to gage your potential. Who ever comes in last doesn't have any and will be expelled immediately."
oooooooooooooof this really sucks for people who don't know he isn't serious.
"Like I said, I get to decide how this class runs. Understand? If that's a problem, you can head home right now."
Wow, Shota must really not like someone in this class you looked around and saw Izuku looking like he had just stepped on a puppy.
Well that certainly is unfortunate
Uraraka started commenting on how the test wan't fair, but you knew that nothing would actually happen and all she was doing is triggering a lecture abut the unfairness of the world.
Maybe I should use my quirk, it could be fun... but I don't want everyone to know about it yet, then I'll lose the element of surprise.
Aizawa jolted you out of your thoughts "Now then, we are just wasting time by talking, let the games begin."

As soon as Shota finished talking, you made a beeline for the green haired boy.
"Hey Izu," you called "Stop shaking you're going to be fine!"
"But Y/n, how can you say that! You know about my quirk, I'm going to fail!" your shaky friend squeaked out.
"Just try not to use it. There will be plenty of people who are only going to be good at one event so all you have to do is use it once and try not to break your bones!"
Ikuku hummed but kept his eyes glued to the ground.
Yikes he is really worried
"Listen Izuku, you got into the hero coarse with a fraction of the training that everyone here had, you have the determination to persevere through a insignificant quirk test! You'll be fine."
He looked up at you with teary eyes "Thank you Y/n! You always know what to say!" He leaned in for a hug but you stepped away feeling a dark aura coming from behind you and knowing exactly who it was coming from. Instead you shot him awkward finger guns ans you walked backwards.
"Anything for you Izu, but don't ruin my shirt with your tears, I swear to god that the water pressure from your eyes is a quirk of its own" you made up a quick excuse and yeeted yourself towards the first event.
.
Alright first up is the 50 meter dash...whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
You hated running and everyone that you know knows it.
It's just such a waste of energy to run if I don't have to, especially if I'm going to use my quick later. I only run if I'm being chased or if I'm doing something important and this is about as important as that grape head loser.
You were about to step away from the track when the timing robot yelled "Go!"
The invisible girl beside you started running but you could tell her quirk wouldn't be helpful for this test.
You groaned and started walking towards the finish line making eye contact with Shota as you trudged along. He shook his head, expecting this, and turned to talk to Iida.
Your whole class watched in shock at your display of defiance, except for a select few who were also expecting this.
"Y/n! What are you doing!? Come on run!" you glanced at Uraraka who was trying to encourage you as you continued slowly making your way across.
"I think not."
You made it to the other side and the timing robot called out a incredibly high number, which you were expecting.
"Damn, what a power move!" Pikachu called out to you raising his hand for a fist bump.
"Hell yeah, I'm glad to see someone around here understands" you gave him a toothy smile finishing the fist bump.
"Sorry I didn't catch your name"
"Y/n L/n, but I just go by Y/n" you replied
"Cool! I guess you can call me Denki then"
"It's nice to meet you Denki"

Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!

That Scottish Play
This is a very silly and cringey parody of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play format will be kept consistent throughout. Unless you enjoy cringing so hard you experience physical pain, I'd suggest avoiding this work. However, as the level of cringe is only slightly less than that of the office, any fans of that show may enjoy this work. (I believe, as a parody, this work is protected from copyright by fair use, additionally, Shakespeare is in the public domain so it doesn't fall under copyright in the first place. If I'm wrong please let me know)
