《Astounded || Creek ✓》[ chapter 7 : my lost soulmate ]

Tweek's POV :
I scribbled all over my notebook. I had one earbud in, my right ear was empty to hear the morning announcements. "Tickets to California will begin to be distributed, congratulations to class of 2019!", the announcements explained.
"Spring sports, band and cheerleaders must be in the gym fifth period to practice for the rally. Classes will be dismissed by building," they continued explaining. I remember yesterday vividly. I cried so hard into Tokens chest, screaming at him out of pain and anger.
Once the morning announcements was finished Mr Altea began to speak, "Good morning class. Today we will be doing a free-write poetry. This will be due at the end of class. Feel free to ask questions if needed."
I chewed on my pen and plugged in my earbud into the empty ear. It seems like an easy task. I've written songs before. Honestly poetry is basically songs without a melody. I tore out a sheet of paper from my notebook. I already had one in mind.
"When he walked flowers bloomed
We were a perfect pair, just us two
Whenever he spoke I felt the heavens speak
I miss his kiss against my cheek
He was lost, he was broken
But with the package he was angelic
He was mine, my lost soulmate"
I read it over and smiled. Edgar Alan Poe right there if you ask me. I took out colored pencils and drew some green and blue flowers around the poem. I drew some vines around the words making it look appealing to the eye. Aesthetic minimalist vibes.
I had no one to talk to in this class except for Mr Altea himself. I cupped my cheeks with the palms of my hands. Until I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Hey man. Got a sheet of paper?", a voice asked. I turned and gasped, "Stan? You have this class? How did I not no-notice I feel like an asshole." Stan chuckled, "No its okay. You wear your earbuds often anyways, there was no way you'd notice me. Even if I've sit behind you all semester."
I covered my face in embarrassment, "All semester? Oh my god I'm so sorry." "Like I said it's okay I just need a piece of paper," Stan replied. I turned forward and tore a piece of line paper out. Until it hit me. Should I talk to Stan about Kyle?

"So Stan, you ready to be mentioned in the rally?" I ask. He nodded, "Yeah man I got used to it. How bout you? How does it feel to perform? No offense." I shook my head, "No offense taken! It just gets frustrating when I need to switch from cheer to ASB. Although Kyle may take my spot for ASB today."
Stan smiled once I said Kyle's name. That's when I knew that he liked Kyle. Why else would you smile at someone's name?
"Kyle sure is a great guy," Stan continued to smile. "You should ask him out," I blurted.
Stan blushed and lifted an eyebrow, "What? No! Kyle is straight or maybe asexual. Either way there's no way he'd be gay. I haven't seen him in love with someone man," Stan licked his lips. "Besides I have no balls to ask him out.", he continued.
I laughed, "Take a chance man. We all die on day. Right?" Stan held his neck with his hand, "You are right about that. Whatever we'll see how it goes." The bell rung for second period.
"Alright everyone! Get in positions," The coach demanded. She wanted us to stand outside and hype up everyone. We stood in different lines facing across each other, raising our pom poms in the air. It was the beginning of the rally already. We began to shake our pom poms yelling chants once we saw people.
I saw a few friends and smiled but continued my chant. Until Craig walked by, something just broke. My spirit and smile just faded away completely. I began to weakly shake my pompom in the air. Until Wendy stepped in and said our chant for the last remaining seconds we were outside. "We've got cow spirit! Come on let's hear it! Go cows!", we all yelled one last time. The show is about to begin.
We all ran into the gym in a line with big smiles on our faces. We went into the back waiting for our cue. "Alright freshman let me hear you!", Kyle yelled. No one yelled back though. "Al-alright so-sophomores let-lets hea-hear you!", Jimmy screamed. A handful of sophomores shouted back.
"Cmon Jimmy I know my juniors got more spirit than that! Am I right!," Kyle smiled and turned to the juniors. A majority of them yelled. "K-Kyle stop play-playing! Cl-class o-of 2019 go-got the b-b-best spirit ever!", Jimmy screamed.

He was right. All the seniors roared louder than all of the classes. "Thank you everyone for coming here to spend one last rally with your favorite hosts! Jimmy and I! But before we start our rally, lets introduce..", Kyle stopped for a moment of silence. "Varsi-varsity baseball!", Jimmy finished Kyles sentence.
The baseball team ran through the poster ASB made for them and the gym roared. They all stood next to each other laughing and giggling. Some players we're even shirtless. "W-we got our MVP h-here Craig Tucker!", Jimmy screamed.
Craig looked proud and smiled. He even blew a kiss to some of the underclass men fawning over him. I stuck my tongue out, "Gross!" I said to Wendy. "Shhh Tweek, ignore him. We're gonna perform a few minutes after this.", Wendy nudged my arm.
"I just wanted to say. Thanks for having me MVP. Uhhhh," Craig chuckled. "Shit I don't know, here Stan." He gave the mic to Stan, who was the second best player. "Thanks man, uh I just wanted to say this team was the fucking best," Stan smiled. He looked at Kyle and smiled, "My best friend is the best too. Always supporting me throughout my life."
Craig threw a dagger at me and grabbed the mic, "You know Stan, my best friend called me an ignorant asshole." People began to gasp.
Wendy glared at me, "Tweek I swear to god. Don't let him get to you. Let him talk." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.
"Okay! I'll just take that from you." Kyle grabbed the mic. Everyone gave a round of applause for the baseball team while they ran back to the corner where we were at. "Good luck babe," Craig said in a sarcastic tone.
I flip him off and run with the team to the center of the gym.
( A/N : im inserting a link of the routine they're doing because im bad at explaining this shit )
We all stood in second positions with our hands at our waists. The crowd already began to cheer and shout. A moment of silence happened until music started playing cueing the audience to yell again. I moved with rhythm and my body flowed with the music. My smile was big, my coincidence is high.
I was on beat and sharp. The routine finished, all of us were smiling with confidence and pride. I was out of breathe but I remained happy. The crowd cheered one last time and all the cheerleaders ran back to the back corner.
"How was that for you, honey?", I spoke with a sarcastic tone and smiled.
The rest of ASB was cleaning up the hallways filled with posters for the rally. I was stuck in the gym taking down the streamers and posters. "Your still quite the performer even after our breakup," Someone crept up behind me.
I turned and rolled my eyes, "Craig I did cheer for my satisfaction and happiness. Not yours."
He laughed, "I don't understand you Tweek."
He sat down on the bleacher I was standing on to take down posters. "You tell me you love me and ghost me right after. Then you proceed to tell everyone I was an asshole? You know I was so in love with you.", Craig snapped.
I snickered, "Yeah Craig. Keyword, was. You cheated on me! You have a new girlfriend! Why bother talking to me?" "God your so stupid," Craig said bluntly. I turned my head towards him, "Excuse me?"
Craig got up and looked me dead in the eyes, "I didn't cheat on you with Kenny. I just got wasted with him. Not only that, the girl you saw at that stupid Italian restaurant was my fucking cousin." I froze, "O-oh. I do-don't kno-know what to say."
Craig scoffed, "Yeah man! You never know what to fucking say. You just jump to conclusions! You just care about yourself! And you know what, that shows me so much about you as a person!" I began to tear up. "Fuck you Craig!", I screamed.
"It's fine Tweek! You know I never thought we'd make it anyways! I never wanted anything serious anyways! We were bound to break up any-"
