《Infectious Intent (M. Yandere x F. Reader)》The Stormiest Seclusion

A/N: As usual, I would recommend putting the video on loop.

All his right fingers clenched together roughly. They itched to beat down on the doors, and his left ones desired to claw out the pieces of wood. He wanted to scream for the door to open, but he had to remain composed. His fingers had to tap against the wood gently, and his typical giggle had to leave his mouth, though; he had to be quiet about his actions. Sunlight broke through the gaps in the growing clouds, and some town member besides his partner's parents could be nearby.

He knocked against the doors again. His ears trained onto the noises on the other side, and his heartbeat only calmed by a little. Footsteps were nearing him. One of the doors opened, and her mother stared up at him. Hope filled her eyes, and he grinned to her. The creature made his way inside as she stepped aside; however, she paused. "W-where's my dau-daughter?"

His eyes didn't meet hers. Instead, he walked over to the couch by the entrance doors and seated himself. The creature leaned forward and held out his left hand. She froze, thinking the worst. "Ho-how ... how coul-could yo-you ..."

Giggling, he shook his head, but it was difficult to maintain such an attitude. He desired to knock her unconscious and just take her phone. There was an emergency on his hands, and the d*mn woman's stuttering was getting on his nerves. "I didn't kill her. We have a deal after all." The creature motioned her to come closer with his nails. "But, I realized that I need to deal with a loose end before I bring her back."

Puzzled and relieved, she hesitantly took a step forward. "I require your phone. Do you have it on you?" Before she could answer, footsteps sounded on the stairs. Her father soon came into view, and the creature almost rolled his eyes. Already, the man was testing his patience more, and her father hadn't even said anything yet.

"Why do you need her phone?" he questioned, moving to stand beside his wife.

The tall male didn't intimidate him in the slightest. If he wasn't (f/n)'s father, he would be nothing more than a larger sack of meat. "You had heard my answer. You had been at the top of the stairs when I had told her." His eyes glanced back to the woman. "Now, let me have your phone." She glanced at her husband to seek his opinion. Almost, the creature groaned in annoyance. "You'll see your daughter sooner if you hand me the phone."

Her father glared to him before he signaled for his wife to comply. She nodded and removed the device from her back shorts' pocket before her husband passed it to the creature. His nails enclosed around the device, and the man swiftly pulled his hand back.

Ignoring the couple, he dialed Nick's number. It went straight to voicemail. Nearly, an eyebrow of his twitched. Again, he tried the number. The same thing happened, so he attempted it a third time. No new results greeted him. Several more times he called Nick. Every cursed time, it was the same message. This is Nick. Leave a name and message. Thanks. Well, he certainly wouldn't be thankful in the near future.

Crushing the phone in his hand, he heard her mother gasp. A disinterested look crossed his eyes. "It's probably best that you buy a new one anyway." He stood up and dropped the broken phone onto the coffee table. The creature giggled and neared the pair. They stepped back some. Again, he giggled. "Since that was unsuccessful, I need you two to tell me Nick's address."

"Wh-what ... Why? Is that who you had been calling?" No doubt, she understood his intentions for the young human male, and fear for Nick laced her eyes.

"Yes." He placed his hands in his pockets and quirked a brow. "But, you shouldn't care about him. Your daughter is more important, right?" His tone went a little higher to the end, but he had been tempted to lower it.

Sighing, her father asked, "And, why do you think that we would know that information? Like you just had pointed out, our daughter is our priority. Why we bother with that detail?"

"You'd bother with it because it'll bring her here sooner." A growl almost escaped, but he morphed it into a giggle. "And, you both know. (F/n) had been friends with one of his colleagues, and you both had known Laura and her parents. At some point, his address must've been mentioned."

"(F/n) doesn't even know where he lives." Her father wrapped a protective arm around his wife. The creature only grew more internally annoyed at the action. He was ready to shake the answer out of them. "It wouldn't make sense for us to know."

"Oh, but it would." The creature giggled more. "Her parents had been planning a funeral for her, and it had happened a week ago. I had heard her parents discussing it out in the grocery store parking lot yesterday. Nick hadn't been able to make it, but they had been planning on him to at least show up. They had sounded quite disappointed." He grinned and leaned towards them. "That means that they probably had sent an invitation to him. After all, they had mentioned how the both of you had done such a nice job on the cards."

Her mother paled, and her father tightened his hold on his wife. He scowled. "Fine, we had worked on those cards and had sent one to Nick."

Loudly, he released a series of giggles. He tilted back before he rocked forward again. "Now, had that been so hard?" His grin widened, though; he forced himself to suppress the rage in it. "What's his address?" Both were reluctant to speak, but her father, understanding that there was no other choice, disclosed it. As soon as he had his answer, the creature stormed out of the house and advanced towards the destination.

Upon arrival, there were no longer any gaps in the clouds. They were dark, and snowfall would most likely begin soon. The creature remained behind the cover of the nearby pine trees, however. In front of the plants was the parking lot of the apartment complex. It wasn't fancy, but it didn't look cheap either. Thankfully, it was a small complex. There would be fewer eyes to spot him. Hopefully, none would, though.

Scanning over the lot, he noted that there were only a few cars in the parking spaces. Most individuals probably were still at work. That made his job all the easier. His eyes shifted to the brass numbers on the navy blue doors. They peered up more and examined the second floor rooms. A smirk touched his lips, and his eyes stopped on number thirty-one.

Eyes narrowing, he noted a helpful but irritating detail. The door was open a crack. If Nick was home, he wouldn't leave his door open for unwanted guests. He rubbed his nails together. They wanted to pierce his flesh and drench themselves in his crimson. Most likely, that wouldn't happen at the moment, but that gave him another possible detail.

It was likely that his pink flower had called the male already unless he had moved awhile back, but the creature felt that his door wouldn't only be opened by a crack, then. The place would've probably been looted already, and the door would be open fully or shut completely. No, Nick probably had bolted not too long ago, which was in the timeline of his little helper's escape.

If he was correct, (f/n) probably would've gained any information about him from Nick already. Then again, Nick might've not known anything extra on him, but he wasn't going to leave the area empty-handed. The human had rushed out of his home. There was a possibility that he had left something valuable behind. Any clue on his partner's whereabouts would prove vital to him.

By now, the scent of that cologne probably was gone. All he had was Nick's apartment. His eyes inspected the area again before he lifted his hood and placed his hands in his pockets. The creature understood that he appeared entirely suspicious, but he noticed that the blinds were closed on all of the windows. No one would sight him.

Avoiding patches of ice on the ground, he prevented slipping, but flecks of white started to descend from the sky. A frown coated his lips. Even if (f/n) had disobeyed him, he hoped that she wasn't out in the present weather. It could be snowing more where she was at, and he didn't desire to find her buried under snow and dead. The thought chilled him, and he forced his mind to focus on finding her. He couldn't worry about what might be happening to her. Otherwise, he might not locate her in time.

Ascending the steps, he headed over to the door. His footfalls almost were inaudible, and he stuck to the shadows when he could. Once he was in front of the door, he removed his right hand from the pocket and pressed it lightly against the door. It creaked open.

All of the lights were off inside, and pale beams of light shone through the back window. Some rays broke through the blinds on the front window, but they hardly illuminated the space. He stepped in further and closed the door behind him. He locked it and noted how most of the furniture had been left behind, but the furniture mostly was barren. Only items that probably held little value remained.

Still, he inspected every piece of furniture and appliance in the vicinity. There would be no inch left unexplored by him. His movements were by no means steady, however. No, he was quick to examine everything, but none of his efforts were proving fruitful. Nick was lucky that he was gone from the apartment. Otherwise, he would've been in a massive amount of pain.
