A/N: As usual, I would recommend putting the video on loop.

Silently, he darted through the woods. Snow began to fall around him, and dark snow clouds loomed above the countless trees. His black clothes blended in with the darkness of the scenery, and his deathly pale skin practically matched the snowfall. Footprints were left in the snow, but he doubted that there were many people in the woods. He couldn't pick up any sounds except for those of woodland animals.

When he neared the blood, however, he heard someone muttering to themselves. His feet stopped, and he listened more. "Come on. Come on. Where are you?" The voice sounded familiar, and he forced his nose to work past the smell of crimson.

His eyes lit up, and he smirked. Advancing at a casual pace, he headed for the individual. There was no one else but the two of them around. He removed his sunglasses and placed them in one of his pockets before he concealed his hands too.

The person stopped their mumbling, and the creature heard a slight amount of movement. He saw the light up ahead, but the flashlight only gave off a dull illumination. It was considerate of the person. His soft footfalls and crunches of the snow alerted the individual to his direction.

(E/c) eyes met his very pale blue ones. The creature maintained a casual walk and stopped some distance away from the taller male. "Turn off the flashlight. I can see you without it, and there's no need for you to have it anymore." He leaned against the nearest tree but kept his hands hidden. Right now, there wasn't a need for him to carry a more threatening appearance.

"I need to see you, though." The man turned the brightness of the light up a little and lifted it up some. He stood up straighter to appear like he had some authority in the meeting, but his eyes were fearful. Even his tone had been filled with the emotion.

Quirking a brow, the creature shook his head before he latched his gaze back onto the man. "Do you? We both know that I could dash forward, break your flashlight and kill you in a few moments. I suggest that you stop trying to maintain some power over the present situation because it's pointless. I'm here because I'm interested to hear what you have to say, not because you want me here."

Giggling, the creature glanced down to the organs in the snow. "No wonder people had been saying that your wife and you are acting odd. How many days have you been trying to get my attention?"

"Tonight is the first one, but my wife and I have been planning."

After his mouth made an o shape, he giggled more. "Well, you're quite the lucky pair, then."

"I wouldn't consider my daughter being kidnapped lucky," he argued back harshly. His tone was low, and his fists became clenched. "But, my wife and I are doing what we have to. We want out daughter back if ... she's ... she's ..." The man tightened his fists more.

"I figured that's why you would do such a thing." The creature pushed himself off of the tree. "Turn off your flashlight. If you want to form some deal with me, following my instructions will get you better results."

Hope flashed through his eyes. "Then, she's still alive?!" The creature didn't answer, but he signaled for the man to flip the switch. Her father reluctantly turned off the flashlight, and he could really only pinpoint the creature's silhouette in the darkness.

"Ah, much better." The creature giggled and crouched in front of a heart. "So, who had these belonged to?" He picked it up and seated himself. Snow coated the item, but it hadn't frozen completely yet. Her father must've arrived in the woods not too long ago.

"Does it matter? I just want to hear about my daughter." The man remained standing, and he looked down upon the creature. Her father, though, knew not to lower his guard even if the thing was sitting. Despite the creature's relaxed tone and position, the man understood that the creature still could slice off his head in a few seconds if that.

"Not really." The creature took a bite and smiled a little. He swallowed. "Ah, this is much better than that trash or her boyfriend. And, it's not completely frozen." Her father was about to speak, but the creature swiftly cut him off. "Sometimes, I do like a popsicle, but probably it has a texture more similar to ... Oh, what is it? ... It's apparently creamy and sweet to you humans."

Wanting the description to end, her father remarked, "It's called ice cream." He felt like he might be sick, and he suddenly was grateful that he had turned off the flashlight. The man didn't desire to view the thing eating.

"Ah, right!" he chirped out before he took another bite happily. After he swallowed, he returned to the man's most recent question. "And, it doesn't matter. I just want to know how far your wife and you have gone for your daughter." He tossed the heart up into the air before he caught it again. The creature continued the action until the older male responded.

"Those had belonged to a cremation client of ours. We had removed them before we had burned the body." It was clear that the man still was in disbelief that he had done such a thing, but there were flames in his eyes too. He wanted his daughter back regardless of what it meant.

Pleased, the creature set the heart down and licked his right hand clean of any blood. "Well, that would certainly destroy your reputation as a funeral home director if it ever got out." He giggled and grinned. "I love it; however, you're not even covered in blood. Your hands are even clean. Do you have gloves on you?"

"Yes, I don't see why that's important. Just tell me if ..."

Shaking his head, the creature held out his left index finger and waggled it. "Now, now, patience. We're talking over a meal. Take a seat and relax." Her father looked ready to punch him. A grin stretched across the creature's lips, and he leaned forward a little. "Really if you want to form a deal with me, you better be prepared to get your hands dirtier." The creature patted a bloody spot in the snow. "Sit."

Her father recognized that it was no longer a request but a demand. If only he were stronger, he could fight the thing and learn the location of his daughter that way. Disgust and hate wrote themselves across his countenance. The man seated himself on the bloody snow, and he figured that the back of his jeans were stained. His arms crossed over him, and his hands rested under his armpits for warmth.

"Thank you." The creature giggled a little before he ripped off a piece of flesh from the pile and consumed it. He licked his lips afterwards. "For your cooperation, I'll tell you that your daughter is alive." Her father straightened his posture and appeared ready to race off into the woods. Amused, the creature rested his chin on his right palm. "However, you better be willing to make a decent deal with me if you want her back. This offering is nice and all, but her life means a lot more to me than a pile of food."

Originally, the creature was going to give their daughter back to them once things in the town had settled down. Her father didn't need to know that, though. No, things had taken a much better turn for him, and he was having a hard time not bursting out laughing.

Frowning, the man nodded in understanding. "Yes, my wife and I had feared that, but we're willing to form some arrangement with you."

"Excellent." The creature grinned. "Though, understand that even if I return her to both of you, she'll still be mine." Her father froze. "We come in a package. If you want her, you get me too. Quite a bargain, right?" He giggled, and his eyes gleamed with pleasure at the sight of the man. His blood was draining from his face, and words seemed paralyzed in his mouth.

"W-w-what?" Her father tried to process the creature's words, but his mind simply didn't wish to accept them. His refusal morphed into anger. "Why?! That's ridiculous!"

"I don't think that it is." A mock pout met the creature's expression before he leaned back on his arms. "Honestly, your wife and you already understand that it isn't. Again, her life is very valuable to me." His tone grew more serious.

"And, why is that?! Why are you so attached to my daughter?!" her father shouted, ready to burst up to his legs. The creature raised a brow, and her father resisted the urge to tackle the male and kill him then and there. He was sick of the awful thing before him, and he was tired of seeing his daughter suffer. Her father feared what the creature had done to her even if she was alive.

Voice becoming quieter, he hung his head down. He hated having to negotiate with the thing, but he couldn't deny a painful truth either. "I understand that if you weren't attached to her she'd be dead now, but I can't be grateful to you. You've caused her too much pain, and I wish that you would leave her alone." His eyes shifted to the creature, and a thin beam of moonlight broke through the clouds. The man met the creature's eyes. In those dreadful orbs, her father spotted something that made his blood run cold.
