《Infectious Intent (M. Yandere x F. Reader)》The Unhappiest News

A/N: As usual, I would recommend putting the video on loop.

Dinner and dessert had passed by well enough. (F/n)'s father had given her a slice of cake with blueberries instead of raspberries, and it had tasted delicious. She had talked with her parents about various things before her mother and father had taken the dishes. The teen had offered to help, but her parents had declined the offer. "We'll be fine. Go relax for the evening," her mother had suggested before she had turned back to the dishwasher and loaded up the items.

"Yeah, okay. Thanks," (F/n) had a hard time not hesitating in her response. She was tempted to enter the living room and watch some television, but the creature's warning rang in her head. He would drag her into her room eventually if she didn't willingly head in.

Maintaining a calm expression, she walked over to her room and opened the door steadily. Inside, she saw the creature still on her bed. He was scrolling through her phone, and she wondered what he was looking at, though; she suspected that it was something that would make her situation all the worse. She closed the door, and he stared up at her. A grin rested on his lips. "I'm glad that you returned."

She didn't respond. Instead, she went over to her desk and turned on her lamp. His grin fell a little, but he had his sunglasses on. He set down the phone while she took a seat on her desk chair and faced him. Easily, the creature noticed that her hands gripped the sides of the chair. That caused his grin to return. "I want to discuss this Haley girl."

Satisfaction entered his gaze immediately. (F/n) tried to hide the terror that overtook her eyes, but she failed immensely. "I heard your parents after you left. They thought that it was odd that you had requested to meet her. Apparently, she's been the one to ask for you in the past." A giggle left him. "I even learned that she was the girlfriend of the male in the freezer. I suspect that she doesn't know of your involvement in his disappearance."

No reply greeted him. He could tell that she was trying to compose herself, but it was far too late. "Well, that's a smart move. Our deal would most likely be exposed otherwise, and she'd probably never forgive you." Another giggle escaped him. "I wonder what that would do to your mind."

Her hands tightened around the chair, and she managed to harden her gaze. "What are you getting at? I'm simply helping her through this rough time in her life. It's of no importance to you."

"Of course, it isn't, silly." His nails tapped against the phone. "But, there is something important. It goes back to the main question. Why did you contact her this time?"

"I needed to get away, and I enjoy talking with her."

"I can tell that you're not lying, but there's something else. You're scared so much right now. It's like your fear is radiating off of you. You're hiding something. What is it?" His nails tapped a little harder against the phone, and the device would probably break if he hit it with an even stronger force. "Tell me, (f/n)." The creature's voice fell a little, but it had its high-pitched quality still; however, his threatening tone was evident enough.

Briefly, her gaze shifted over to the bathroom, but she didn't desire a repeat of the other night. She couldn't even use the excuse to take a shower. That would only make things worse. Her legs wanted to shake, and she couldn't increase her grip on the chair anymore. Bolting for her room door wouldn't aid her either. It would only send him after her, but her plan couldn't be ruined; it had only just started.

"I already told you my reason." Luckily, her voice didn't waver, but it didn't sound confident either. She felt like she was a mouse about to be devoured by a lion. Her eyes focused on his nails. His tapping stopped, and a smirk tugged at his lips. (F/n) couldn't help but gulp. It sounded like thunder in the space.

"I wonder why you're being so secretive. You're too easy to read, (f/n). It honestly would be better if you just answered me." He received no answer. A sigh parted from him, and he shrugged. "Well, that's unfortunate," he giggled, "for you." His gaze diverted to the lamp. "Turn that off." She didn't move. "Are you going to disobey that too? You should really help your partner out here." The teen looked like she was about say something, but he beat her to it. "I don't want your opinion. Turn it off."

When she refused again, he giggled. "You're really being stubborn today. Fine." He sat up more on the bed. "I suppose that you won't come over here if I ask either." She didn't even shake her head. "Then, let me guess." His left index nail tapped against his cheek while his grin widened. The creature's finger stopped. "Is she part of your plan to kill me?" No response came to him.

"Well if that's the case, I'll simply kill her, and she can join her boyfriend in the freezer." He entered a series of giggles. "They'd never be closer." (F/n) looked like she might be sick. "Oh, do say something. Your silence is only hurting you."

The teen didn't know how to reply. Her words needed to be chosen carefully. Even though the creature had figured out that she was involved, he didn't have information on her specific task, and he hopefully didn't have her appearance. "Don't kill her. You have enough food already."

"But what about when I run out? She's clearly a part of your plan in some way. It'll benefit me to kill her. Now, I only have to find out what she looks like." Desperation entered her orbs. "But, there is a way to persuade me not to." Her silence motioned him to go on. "Admit that I'm your partner and mean it." She was about to respond, but he held up his right hand. "I can tell if you're lying. If you want to save her, you truly have to accept me."

"I ..." She couldn't do that. It was too difficult, and she wasn't a strong liar, but Haley couldn't be killed. There was the possibility that she could call off future meetings between them until the sedatives were retrieved, but there was Dean's funeral. Haley would be there, and the creature would most likely be able to figure her out from the crowd.

Maybe, Haley would give her the sedatives before the funeral. The creature could still go after her, though, and he would probably question her before he killed her. He had no issue with torture, and Haley would most likely give in after a short while if not right at the beginning.

There was also the issue that Haley would be suspicious if she canceled meetings. If she were to say that the creature found out, Haley would wonder how that had happened. She needed more time or some reassurance. "Are you going to kill her immediately if you find her?"

"No, I'll watch her until I need more food. Your freezer is pretty small after all." A grin painted his lips. "But, I'll make sure that she won't be able to help you. I might even tell her about Dean." The creature had planned to become her partner from a nonviolent route, but it was too easy for him to fall back on that original idea. Haley was proving more useful to him than he had thought.

"I ..." She was at a loss for words. Haley was doomed, and guilt ate at her. All she needed to do was call the creature her partner, but she couldn't mean it. He was a sick thing, and she didn't want to be any closer to him.

There was Nick, though, and it sounded like the creature hadn't caught onto her recent deal with him. If she couldn't receive sedatives, she could gain information at the least, but his obsession with her calling him her partner bothered her. "Why do you want to be my partner so badly?"

"I already am your partner. You just won't admit it." He slid off the bed, and she tensed in the chair. The creature took her phone and put it in his right jacket pocket. "And, I have my reasons." Thankfully, he walked past her and towards the freezer but not before he turned off the lamp. She made sure not to look in his direction when he opened the freezer, though.

"Is it because I'm the only one who talks to you?"

"Others talk to me." He giggled and glanced back to her. "But, you're more fun to talk to."

"Why's that?"

"Reasons. I've already given you some in the past. Like you, I have some secrets that I'd like to keep." He fixed his attention back on the contents inside the freezer. "Hmm, what to have ..." he started to say before he talked to himself quietly. She was tempted to pull out her earphones and block his disturbing statements, but she didn't wish for him to sneak up on her.

To her alarm, though, she heard a phone ringing. Her attention snapped to her jacket. She had left her father's phone in there. The creature directed his attention over to it. Swiftly, she reached for the phone before she held it to her chest. Heart pounding, she found the creature to be standing right in front of her. "Who is it, (f/n)?"

Not checking, she kept it to her chest. She could call them back later. Her hands tightened around it more, and she scooted the chair back. He held out his left hand as the phone continued to ring. (F/n) didn't budge. "It's probably nothing important."

"Oh, but it could be. At least, answer it." Thankfully, the ringing stopped, but it went to voicemail. That was when she started to panic. She hoped that the caller wouldn't leave a message, and her grip increased even more.
