《Infectious Intent (M. Yandere x F. Reader)》The Chilliest Hours

A/N: As usual, I would recommend putting the video on loop.
Once night fell, (f/n)'s parents locked the house up tight and made sure that all of the outside lights were on. (F/n), though, couldn't help but look out her window at the cemetery. Her eyes were pinned on the mausoleum that the creature had been in. He probably wasn't in there anymore. Some unfortunate individual was most likely being killed by him.
Her gaze turned back to the mini fridge. By the end of the evening, it would be filled with that poor person's parts. Bile formed in her throat, and she ran to the bathroom. She locked the bathroom door and emptied her mouth before she rinsed.
Leaning forward, she placed her head in her hands. Her nerves were on high edge. The creature never had stated when he would try to get into the house. He could already be in it for all she knew. She didn't want to meet him again or be in the same room with him.
Looking up and into the mirror, she almost jumped. For a moment, she had thought that she had seen the creature behind her. She peered over her right shoulder, and he wasn't there. There was only the wall. Her heart relaxed before she screamed.
(F/n) fell backwards and collided with the plush rug. Her hands supported her up and kept her head from hitting the tile, but her entire body trembled. It hadn't even really registered that she had fallen. Rather, it was focused on the door. A loud knock had sounded there.
"(F/n), are you alright?!" her mother called worriedly. Her heart eased again, and she steadily brought herself to her feet. "(F/n), what's wrong?!"
"Sorry, mom," she quickly replied and unlocked the door. Her mother sighed in relief and looked over her daughter to make sure that she wasn't hurt. "I just thought that ..." She trailed off, realizing her mistake.
"It's alright. I understand. Soon, that thing will be gone, and you can truly relax." She rested a hand on her daughter's back and ushered her out of the bathroom gently. "Dinner's ready. Some food will do you good." (F/n) gave a weak nod back. Despite her mother's good intentions, dinner didn't sound that lovely. Her mind kept focusing on the creature's dinner, and it was really making her lose her appetite.
When she was seated at the kitchen table, (f/n) looked at the food before her: a bowl of chicken and rice soup and homemade bread. It was perfect for the cold night, but she could only move the spoon idly. Her behavior was easily noticed by her parents, and her mother leaned over to her father. She could hear their whisperings, but she didn't mind it. It wasn't anything bad; they were merely worried.

H*ll, she was concerned too. As the night progressed, the likelihood of the creature popping up increased. It was completely unnerving. She hated the deal that she had made with him, but the other option was worse. When her parents both glanced to her, she took a small bite of the soup and continued to eat slowly after that. They relaxed once they saw her eating.
It was a quiet meal. At least, on her part it was. Her parents mainly discussed some news articles that they had read in the paper. (F/n) wasn't interested in the topic; her mind was elsewhere. Once she finished, she excused herself and put away her dishes. She headed off to her room afterwards.
Before she locked the door, she glanced over to the window. It was still closed and locked. The smell of death wasn't in the air, and she saw no blood. She locked the door behind her and closed the curtains. All of the lights in her room were turned on. If he wanted in, he would have to suffer first.
Quickly, she grabbed some pajamas and undergarments before she rushed into the shower. She locked the bathroom door as well. Midway through her shower, she heard a knock on her room door. "Your father and I will be going to bed, (f/n). We left the kitchen light on for you."
"Thanks!" she called back out, and she just barely heard her mother walking away. She was on her own for the night now. Technically, she always had been. Her parents couldn't know about the agreement. Turning off the water later, she stepped out and got dressed.
Hesitantly, she unlocked the door and turned the knob. She peeked out into her room and saw no one. The lights were still on, and no breeze was blowing the curtains. Looking over to her room door, she saw that it remained locked. Maybe, he wouldn't be coming until around dawn. He was nocturnal so that would make more sense.
Telling herself to calm down, she finished with her night routine before she left her room. A glass of water would do her good. She kept her room lights on and headed out towards the kitchen. On the way there, her eyes glanced towards the stairs. They led into near darkness. The outside lights prevented the area from being pitch black, though.
Forcing her attention away from them, she headed into the kitchen and grabbed a glass. Before she closed the cabinet, she thought that she had heard something. She listened closer, but there was nothing. (F/n) looked behind her and saw no one. Part of her wished for the creature to come already so that she could stop being paranoid about every little sound or shadow.

In front of the fridge, she retrieved her water, but her hand trembled. She shut her eyes momentarily and told herself to stop imagining things. Water shot from her glass, however. Her eyes darted around her. That time, she swore that she had heard something. It sounded like a knock. (F/n) placed the half-empty glass on the counter and backed further into the kitchen.
The light was on. She was fine. That knock had sounded distant. Her heart pounded in her chest.
Peering over to the light switch, she didn't see a figure near it. Her feet lifted off of the ground briefly before she directed her attention towards the living room. She gulped and remained where she was. There had been another knock. Silence followed, and her hands gripped the edge of the counter tightly.
Steadily, she took some steps forward. Her room would be safer. The light switch was closer to the living room, and she didn't want to go near there. She grabbed her glass, and she heard a click. Another soon followed. Breathing becoming unsteady, she took quicker steps back. Thankfully, her room wasn't far.
Hand on her doorknob, her heart froze. It had been like the tunnels. Soft footfalls hit her ears. Nearly, she collapsed into her door as he rounded the corner. A black, cowl hoodie rested over his head. He faced her direction and lifted his head up a little. His mouth widened into a tooth-filled grin, and she threw her door open. She shut it behind her and locked it.
Seconds passed before she heard the kitchen light switch flick off. Soft footfalls came closer. Her hands stayed on the door, and she collapsed. She had recognized that hoodie. It had belonged to a high school classmate of hers. He now went to the local community college in town, or he had anyway. Was his body outside of her house? Part of her wanted to go look out her window, but she also didn't wish to let go of the door.
He had told her that he would be staying in her room, but she was really regretting that decision. She was too terrified of him, and she didn't know what that smile had meant. His eyes had been blocked, and it could've meant anything. The knob turned slightly but not all the way. (F/n) heard a giggle on the other side.
"(F/n), you should open up," he whispered unsettlingly. A shiver ran over her. "Or, open your room window for me. It'll make things easier." Another giggle escaped him. "You wouldn't want blood everywhere, would you? Or, have you decided to forgo our deal?" Silence answered him, and he giggled more. "Is that your parents' room next to yours? Maybe ..."
Not letting him finish, she opened her door and took hurried steps back. His attention snapped towards her, and he entered slowly. He flicked off her light switch and closed the door behind him. There was still a lamp on, and he swiftly shut it off. She could see the dried blood on his nails, and she noted that he had changed his pants too. The worn, baggy cargo pants had been replaced with black jeans.
Turning around, he smirked. "I had to do some shopping to blend in better." He giggled and headed over to the window. "Luckily, I found someone who met the mark." The creature pulled his hood down more before he opened the curtains. Artificial light flooded in, and he opened the window. A second later, he jumped out, and she desired that he wouldn't return. She didn't want to see who he had killed even though she knew the answer. (F/n) sat on her bed and covered her eyes.
Soft footfalls hit her ears again, and she heard her window and curtains close. A hand rested on her head. "Oh, do cheer up. I didn't kill you. I'll be in the bathroom. Would you mind getting me a knife?" She didn't answer; she didn't want to help anymore with the process.
His footsteps stopped again, and he giggled. "I'm not going to consider it another offering." She heard something thud against the bathtub, and she didn't move. "But, there is something." He walked towards her again, and she could feel his breath on her. It smelled of iron and death. "Can you guess what it is?"
