《Infectious Intent (M. Yandere x F. Reader)》The Worst Ride

A/N: As usual, I would recommend putting the video on loop.
The snow and their lack of stamina slowed Nick and (f/n) down significantly. They still didn't hear any screams or see any blood. That gave them some hope that Tara was alive. Personally, (f/n) just wanted to get out. If Tara didn't make it, she wasn't going to cry or anything. She didn't voice that opinion to Nick, though.
(F/n) grabbed a water bottle and held it up so that Nick could get a drink. She had to feed him some peanuts too since he was busy keeping her off of the ground. Before she put them away, she drank and ate a little too. The female could care less about sharing at that point in time. Frankly, she was too lazy to put them away and grab new items only to place them back in the bag.
Once the items were stored away, she rested her head against Nick's neck. Her leg wasn't doing too good. With every one of Nick's steps, it felt like more of her blood was oozing out of her leg. She had peered down at the appendage and had seen that her pants were becoming decorated with the color. Even if they escaped the creature, she might not make it. Right now, she wanted to close her eyes, but she had to guide them. As soon as they got to the car, they could drive off to the hospital.
Nick shifted her weight, and she winced from her leg bumping against him. "Sorry," he quickly apologized, and she shook her head some to indicate not to worry about it. Her flashlight finally illuminated something other than snow. To their immense relief, they could see the edge of the woods. Her car was directly in front of them, and Nick managed to pick up his pace a little bit more.
When they reached her car, Nick set her down and leaned her against it. She fished out her keys and handed them to him. Before he took them, he glanced around to see if Tara was in the area. His eyes widened, and he cursed. Swiftly, he unlocked the passenger's side and threw open the door. He helped her inside before he went over to the driver's side.
Worried that the creature was nearby, she looked back and saw Tara running towards them down the street. Not far behind her was the creature. Cursing, she was tempted to yell at Nick to drive off, but he only started up the engine. He was going to wait for his friend. She wished to groan out in frustration and fear, but she kept quiet and motioned for Tara to hurry up.
Reaching the car, Tara threw herself in, and Nick took off. She slammed the door closed and breathed a sigh of relief. That came too early, though. All of them screamed when they heard a loud bang on top of the car. Nick pressed more on the gas pedal while Tara moved farther away from the window. (F/n) did the same and wanted to curl up into ball, but she didn't desire to move her leg much. The bumps of the road were enough for it.

A knock on the glass of her window caused (f/n) to peer over. The creature grinned at her before he moved to her right. "Tara, move away from that window more!" she yelled, but the woman couldn't react fast enough. Glass shattered in the back, and the creature's right hand reached in. Cries of help and pain sounded behind them as Tara was removed from the car. (F/n) watched the creature leap off of the car and into the snow.
Almost, she was flung forward as Nick slammed on the breaks. She was about to shout at him, but he had already left the car. The engine was still running, and she desired to drive off and leave them behind. (F/n) forced the urge away and looked out the back window. Tara was screaming as the creature dragged her back into the woods. Nick was catching up to them. A flashlight was at his side on full brightness.
To her disbelief, the creature halted. He didn't turn around, and he kept a tight grip on Tara. It seemed like he was giggling. Nick took a few steps back and kept the flashlight on it. The creature tugged Tara to the front of him. Her wrists were held by him, and he retrieved her flashlight. Before Nick could act, the creature threw the flashlight at his flashlight. Losing his light source, Nick took a couple more steps back as the creature faced him.
"Help me, Nick! Come on; do something!" Tara shouted while the creature lifted her into the air. She kicked her feet, and the creature grinned. He held up his left hand and placed his nails at her neck. Nick stood frozen. He wished to help his friend, but if he took a step forward, one of them probably would be killed. There was no way around that.
Glancing over to his flashlight, Nick went to take a step towards it. Tara's scream caught his attention, though. The creature had slid a nail lightly across her neck. (F/n) grew more anxious, and her whole body trembled. No one did anything for what felt like the longest time. Nick was about to take another step, but crimson splattered the area. Five nails now stuck through Tara's chest, and her eyes steadily closed.
Frozen to the spot, Nick looked like he would break down. The creature retracted his nails from her, and Nick only began to take a few steps back. Ready to scream herself, (f/n) rolled down her window and shouted, "Nick, run!" This seemed to work as he glanced to her, and his eyes widened. His legs took off, and he almost slipped on the road at one point. By now, the creature had forgotten Tara and was after Nick.

The human male practically jumped into the car and sped off. She was thrown back into her seat, and he slammed his door shut before he rolled her window up. Another bang sounded on top of the car, and (f/n) opened up her glove compartment. Finding her multi-tool, she pulled out the small knife on it and distanced herself from the side window.
Both of them jumped in their seats when they saw the creature on the front window. Its nails were about to jab into the glass, but Nick slammed the breaks. The creature went flying off and rolled onto the road. Nick spared no time and raced forward. Unfortunately, the creature rolled out of the way in time and chased after them again. Making a left turn, they entered a tunnel. Artificial lights were present, but they were dull in brightness. They most likely wouldn't affect the creature too much.
Checking the passenger mirror, (f/n) saw the creature slow down, but he was still behind them. Rage dominated his pale eyes, and he was ready to kill one of them. If he got Nick, she would be forced to drive, and she was already feeling lightheaded. He covered his eyes and darted forward. This time, he wasn't going for the roof.
Bursting through the back window, he rolled onto the back seats. Nick kept his hands on the wheels, but he looked ready to abandon the vehicle. The creature recovered and grinned at them, but he was met by a knife. This time, (f/n) wouldn't let him steal it from her. It stabbed into the creature's right cheek. When she went to pull the blade out, the creature grabbed her wrist and held it in place. His eyes displayed both irritation and amusement.
Ripping the blade out, the creature moved his jaw around as though he had been lightly punched. Frightened, she tried to pull her hand back, but his grip was tight. Nick glanced over to her, and she shook her head. He needed to keep going. Once they reached town, there would be more lights, and it would be busier. That might cause the creature to run off.
Giggling, she watched more crimson trail down his face. He ripped her back and tossed her onto the back seat. Blood dripped onto her face, and she could feel herself trembling. She wouldn't let go of her knife, though. Glass pierced her parts of her as the creature pinned her down. He squeezed her wrist tighter, and she winced.
When he increased his grip more, she had to let it go, or her wrist would snap. He made the mistake, though, of sitting up some to examine the blade. She hurled herself up and crashed against him. The blade flew out of his hands and onto the car floor. They slammed against the car door, and she found the unlock button. Quickly, she pressed it and opened up the door.
Before the creature could act, she shoved him out onto the street and closed the door again. Her whole body ached, and she could barely keep her eyes open. Nick checked on her by using the mirror, and he pressed on the gas more. They sped off as the town's lights became apparent, and they could see cars. (F/n) saw the creature pick himself up and stare off at them. He didn't come after them. Rather, he darted off in the other direction. She felt as though her eyes were playing tricks on her, but Nick didn't dare slow down.
Leaning against the window, she took a few deep breaths. They should reach the hospital in ten minutes, but she was fading. She forced herself to head back to the front, and she crashed into her seat. Glass was still in her, but she was too exhausted to pull it out. Her eyes closed, and she fell against the door. Nick called out to her, but she didn't answer; she had slipped into unconsciousness.
"D*mn it!" he shouted and sped up even more. He needed to get to the hospital quicker. Otherwise, she would be gone. The car raced through a red light as he dodged traffic from both sides. People honked and yelled, but he could care less. None of them had gone through the h*ll that they had been through moments ago.
Even with the creature gone, he found himself glancing out into the trees and bushes. He expected to see the thing there, but it wasn't. Somehow, they had been lucky. His mind reminded him of Tara, and he pushed the memory aside. Right now, he had to worry about (f/n). His promise to get her out had been kept, but if she died, it seemed only half-fulfilled. After a right turn, he could see the hospital in the distance. Briefly, he glanced over to her. "Hang in there. We're almost there."
