《grass whistle ~ poetry》Stiff Shoulders and Wide Chest

I stiffen shoulders and widen chests,

Today, I won't let the sun set,

In a pinch I make a punch

And my toes grip the slopes

I climb the high mountain slopes

From where the sun tumbles down,

My stiffened shoulders will tackle hard,

Widened chest will block the giant

I heard you ride the blue-chariot,

My strength will derail the giant

But the charioteers do breathe fire

And the wheels as constant as time

I stiffen shoulders and widen chests

And widen earth to bestow crops

And stiffen eyes for a third

To gift the celestial lightbulb awakened dreams

Even if the sun does drown,

It will come, it will live,

In our words, in our verse,

In some dreams, on some stones,

I stiffen shoulders and widen chests,

I won't let any sun set!
