《Komahina Angstpril》Dying Words

The murmurs were starting to hurt Hajime.
"He's frail. . .On last legs he can't even stand on."
"There's no way he'll make it through the night."
"It's about damn time that weirdo kicks the bucket."
Hinata grunts, moving to his feet and practically slamming the bedroom door shut before turning back to the frail, barely-breathing boy laying in their marital bed.
Even though the words hurt a lot, there was no doubt about it that he was about to drop dead any second tonight. Not even Kamukura's talents are able to save him now.
He sighs, running his fingers through his hair and returning to his seat next to Komaeda's bed. He takes the fluffy-haired boy's hand in his and smiles kindly, trying to put on a brave face for him.
"Hey, how are you doing, love? Can I get you anything, anyone? Do you need anything?" He asks softly.
Komaeda groans. "I only desire the sweet release of death. . .How much longer?" He croaks.
Hinata sniffs, willing some tears not to fall. "It. . .It shouldn't be long now, hon. I'm sorry you have to keep suffering like this."
Nagito slowly rolls his head to the side so that he can look into the eyes of his beloved. "I'm sorry you're suffering like this too over someone like me. . ." He mumbles.
"I'd take all the pain in the world for you. . ."
Komaeda smiles faintly. "It's strange," He comments, looking up at the ceiling, "For the vast majority of my life, I wanted nothing more than to die. I plotted suicides, I was willing to sacrifice myself in the Killing Game. . .I really didn't have anything to live for," His smile disappears as he turns back towards Hinata with tears brimming in his eyes, "But for the first time. . .I have people to live for. . .I don't want to die, Hajime."

Trying to stay strong, the brunet wipes the tears off of his husband's face. "I really don't want you to go, Ko," He murmurs, "If I could stop this all and take away the pain, I would."
"I feel like I'm being left behind. . .You're all going to be moving ahead, forging your own futures like you said we all would but. . .I no longer have a future. I'm knocking on death's door, I'm returning to dust." Komaeda continues.
Hinata's hands turn to fists on his lap. "Damn it!" He curses, tears finally streaming down his face like a waterfall, "I never thought I'd have to see you die again so soon. . .I don't want to do this again!"
". . .I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault."
Komaeda leans forward slightly, coughing, before falling back on his pillows, groaning.
Hajime sighs, kissing the knuckles of his husband. "Get some rest, Marshmallow. . .Komaeda Nagito, I love you."
They both know he won't be waking up again.
"I love you too, Hajime. . .More than my own life and anything."
-
At some point during the night, Hinata had drifted off in his chair during his bedside vigil. When he woke up at 3am, panic seizing his chest, he knew Komaeda Nagito was gone.
He collapses on top of the bed, wailing and sobbing in pain into the blankets, begging quietly under his breath for him to "Please wake up, Please come back, You can't leave me, please!"
But Nagito would never wake again.

Synergy
Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Anyway, my reasons are simple: I'm neither a gamer nor a hero. You got the wrong person for the job. Sure, the pay is decent and I could pretty much live like a king if, you know, I wasn't so busy trying to survive. I have major concerns about the demonic dagger bound to my soul too. Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes. See you on the other side of the portal!

The Afterlife, And How To Survive It (Barely)
Larry Foulery's monotonous, directionless life changed drastically, when he got shot in the face. Reincarnated into a new world, where he has nothing to lose and everything to gain, and with the honor and dedication of an part-time fast food cashier, he is ready to face this adventure. Kinda. The story takes place in the cynical world of Afterlife, where status screens and are considered normal, and the rule of physics cry in a corner, because nobody cares about them, and they are alone and lonely, and their family hasn't called them in years. Anyways, have fun. BTW don't stare too long into the story cover. I get the feeling it stares back. I'm trying to improve my writing, so feel free to bombard me with criticism.

Being the God of Hell is a bother [On temporary hiatus]
A group of people dies in a plane crash, but their souls are snatched away by an entity called the Highest One, that wants to make them the gods of a new world in order to guide and control its population. One of the passengers, Viktor, protests this, saying that the people of the new world should be entitled to find their own path in life without immortal beings ruling over them. The Highest One then ask Viktor if he really has that much faith in humanity, and after Viktor answer positively he made him into the God of Hell, tasked with redeeming the souls of the damned, as a way to test Viktor's faith in humanity... EDIT: I'm reworking this novel a bit, changing the first chapters from the "screenplay" form to standard prose. I should be done and start a shedule of one chapter per week at the end of february.
