2 months later
"...And this is the baby's heart." Dr. Bingham said as she pointed to the sonogram screen. Rachel squeezed Finn's hand.
"Finn, I can't believe that this is our baby? It's so tiny." Finn smiled at her and said,
"Well, you won't be thinking that in 7 more months." Rachel playfully hit him on the arm. Dr. Bingham smiled at them.
"Well, that's it. Just one more thing, do you want to know the sex of the baby?" The Doctor asked. Finn and Rachel looked at each other. Finn finally spoke up.
"I'm dying to know but Rachel wants to wait, so we'll just hold out for now."
"Great. It was nice seeing you and we'll see you in 2 months. Until then, just take it easy and rest."
"Thank you." Rachel said to the doctor as she left the room. Finn surprised Rachel and kissed her. The kiss lasted for a few moments till Rachel pulled away and said,
"What was that for?"
"For carrying our baby."
"Well, if that's what I get for being pregnant, I should do it more often!" Rachel smiled and kissed him again.
When they got home, Rachel took out a piece of paper and sat down in their TV room. She thought for a second before she began to write.
Dear Mom and Dad,
How are you guys? Finn and I are doing fine. I'm writing to tell you that you should be expecting your first grandchild in 7 months! Finn and I went for our first sonogram today and the baby is 100% healthy. I'm so excited! Finn is dying to know if it's a boy or a girl but I want to wait. Was Dad like that with me, mom? Well, I'll call you as my due date gets closer. I miss you and love you with all my heart.

Your Daughter,
Rachel
Finn walked in just as she was signing her letter. He sat down and put his arm around her.
"What are you up to?"
"Just writing a letter to my mom and dad."
"I should do that too. Got anymore paper?" Rachel handed him and extra sheet of paper and then got off the couch.
"I'm just gonna go call Maria."
"Tell Michael I say hi!" Finn called to her as she walked into the kitchen. Finn stared at the blank piece of paper and then began to write.
Dear Mom & Dad,
It's Finn. How are you two? Rachel and I are great. Have you heard from Isabel lately? We haven't gotten a letter from her in almost a month so I hope she's doing well. I have wonderful news for you! Rachel is pregnant! The baby is wonderful and is due in 7 months. I don't know if I can wait that long! Rachel doesn't want to know the sex yet but I'm going crazy not knowing! Rachel is reading this over my shoulder as I write and she sends her love. I'd better be going. I'll call you soon. I love you and miss you.
Finn
Rachel picked up the phone and began dialing Michael and Maria's number. She hadn't talked to Maria in almost 2 weeks and she was beginning to miss her best friend. The phone rang twice before Rachel heard someone pick up.
"Hello?"
"Maria? It's Rachel!"
"RACHEL! Oh my god, I haven't talked to you in ages! How are you?"
"I'm great. How are you? How's Michael?"
"We're both doing really well. How's Finn?"
"Finn is great." Rachel said as she walked into the TV room and read over Finn's shoulder. She then began pacing in front of the couch, which was just a habit she had while talking on the phone.

"I'm so happy you called, Rachel."
"I'm so happy you're home because I actually have something to tell you."
"Really, what is it?"
"I'm pregnant." Maria screamed into the phone so loud that Rachel had to pull it away from her ear. Michael raced into the room when he heard the scream.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing! Rachel is pregnant!"
"Rachel is pregnant?" Maria nodded at him and then went back to the phone.
"Rach, you still there?"
"I'm here."
"Sorry, I'm just so happy for you! How's the baby? When's it due? It a boy or a girl?" Rachel smiled at her friend's enthusiasm
"The baby is fine, it's healthy. It's due in 7 months and we're not sure if it's a boy or girl."
"Oh my god, I'm so happy for you! Sorry, Michael wants to talk to you and Finn. You have to call me soon, promise?"
"I promise, bye Maria!"
"Bye!" Maria handed the phone to Michael.
"Hey Rach."
"Hi Michael."
"Congratulations. I'm really happy for you guys."
"Thank you."
"Do you mind if I talk to Finn?"
"Yeah sure. It was nice talking to you."
"Nice talking to you too. Later."
"Bye Michael." Rachel said as she handed the phone over to Finn.
"Hello?"
"Hey! Finnegan! Congratulations!"
"Thanks Michael. Can you believe that I'm gonna be a dad? This is amazing!"
"I'm sure it is. I'm really happy for you man."
"Thanks, that really means a lot."
"No problem. Sorry, but I've got to go. I'll talk to you again soon, k?
"Yeah, sure. Later Michael."
"Later Finn."

Immovable Mage
What do you call a mage incapable of casting spells? In this story, we usually call him Terry. When the boy is accepted into Arcana Academy, his talent in the pillars of mana foundation awes everyone. All the bigger is the eventual disappointment when Terry turns out to be an utter failure at spellwork. Diagnosis? Major aspect impairment. No cure. Ever. Faced with expulsion, Terry is blessed with the unexpected kindness of others. Terry loses his spot in the Academy but in exchange, he finds a home with a family. Terry starts to train as a pure mana cultivator but never stops looking for his own path as a mage – day after day, season after season, always searching for compatible spellwork… Until finally, Terry’s perseverance earns him a single spell – the only spell he will ever be able to cast. Disclaimers: Chapter Frequency: I aim for one chapter a week. Chapter Length: I try to keep chapters between 3000 and 6000 words. Binge Preference: I plan for 30 chapters per arc. If you want to binge a complete arc, then that is the number to wait for. I will also add a line to chapters indicating the beginning and end of an arc. Advanced Access: I have created a patreon page with early access to four chapters for patrons. What to Expect: Progression fantasy with a western fantasy setting and with eastern fantasy elements. A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition. A main character that is a part of a larger cast. A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon. A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character. What Not to Expect: Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more. Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Other forms of relationships (family, friends, companions) play a bigger role. Cover: The cover art was commisioned from redditor Linh-Nguyen87. The font is alita brush by Inovatype Typefoundry. Overview: 001–030 Arc 1, Cultivating Perseverance: complete. 031–060 Arc 2, Undying Defiance: complete. 061–090 Arc 3, Unyielding Fury: scheduled for publishing. 091–120 Arc 4, Savage Hope: scheduled for publishing. 121–150 Arc 5, Self-Made Fate: first draft in progress. 151–180 Arc 6, Heretic Style: sketching in progress. Further Arcs are still in the sketching and idea collection phase.

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise). If you are a first-time reader, feel free to start from the other Volume.

Candor: The Forgotten House
*** Please read note below *** As a 16-year-old mage from a powerful family, Jayce Candor had known from a young age what his future would hold. As the fourth son in his family the possibility of him becoming the heir to the household was very small. But, with his talent as a mage, his potential accomplishments in the military could lead to titles of nobility and political power. However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
