Finn threw his keys on the table in the kitchen when he entered the apartment an hour later. He was glad to be finished work and had been able to escape Serena with out too much hassle and now he just wanted to check in on Rachel, and make sure she got home alright.
‘Yeah you like that baby?’ He heard a male voice ask, stopping Finn in his tracks.
‘Oh yes, Kyle’ felt his heart leave his body then because even if he wasn’t in his apartment he would know that voice and that moan anywhere. It was Rachel in the throes of passion. He had been lucky enough to experience that and now because of his own stupidity someone else was getting to experience it too.
Walking backwards he stumbled onto the couch and buried his head in his hands letting the sobs that had been mounting up since their argument, out. He couldn’t remember a time that he had cried like he did right then. He knew that life as he dreamed it was now over. Looking back now he realised that he had let his own insecurities and fear stop him from having everything he had always wanted with Rachel. He knew now that he was a coward and he also feared that that cowardice would loose him Rachel forever.
He wasn’t sure what time it was when he finally stopped crying but the moans from Rachel's room had stopped and he assumed that they had fallen asleep.
Getting up he made his way to the bathroom, deciding to have a shower before hitting the sack.
Rachel woke up early the next morning to a throbbing headache. She tried to sit up but found it hard because of the dead weight lying partially on top of her. Opening her eyes she expected to see that Finn had crawled into bed with her last night but when she saw sandy brown hair instead of black she almost screamed.

Think Rachel she told herself and that’s when the events of the past two days came back to her. Finding out that Finn was with someone else, no not just someone else she reminded herself. Serena Michaels. The date with Kyle the night before where she had drunk way too much and then inviting him into the apartment. Then she remembered what had happened after he had accepted her invitation and she felt the bile rise in her throat. Not worried anymore about waking him up she quickly shoved him off her and ran towards the bathroom.

8 176Transition and Restart, book one: Arrivals
Ulf Hammargren transits from one world to another, from Sweden to Japan and from the peak of his career to his high school body. He must rebuild his life and live with memories that never were. He must find himself again, find friends again and maybe dare to find love again. PG13 Observe that this is the first book in a series with book seven currently ongoing. The slice of life tag is there for a reason. The story is slow, and the characters unfold as the story is told. If you're looking for an action packed quick fix, then you have come to the wrong place.
8 137A Broken Kingdom
After fighting a diseased ancient silver dragon, Oskar must solve a mystery that leads him halfway across the world in pursuit of answers. This story is based on a character from a tabletop roleplaying game. I realized that I'd spent quite a lot of time planning out his backstory, and decided to go ahead and write some of it down. Then I wrote more, and more, and realized that I had a lot more than any sane RPG player should write about their character...
8 175The Immutable Bulwark
When all the stars have been devoured and the all remaining life exists on a single ancient Dyson Sphere, the only light in an endless sky, what happens when that bastion of hope, that Bulwark, drags the remants of one reality to another.
8 219Eye of Amber
Kosian's life was turned upside down when he saw his brother being taken by men of the Faith, using words like 'cursed' and 'damned'. He did not care if his brother was the Ancient Gods incarnate -- he just wanted a friend with whom he could share his pain, his joy. And, after ten long years of planning, he is finally ready. With the help of a group of mysterious benefactors, Kosian saves his brother, fleeing their home and heading east, towards the port of Bez, accompanied by an unexpected but welcomed band of mercenaries. Meanwhile, Bel, a knight of the order Purtelis, hounds them, dead set on returning the Faith's stolen property. Both groups traverse the peaceful lands of Bollardia, each encountering roaming monsters, ancient evils and simple people, trying to survive. During his travels, Kosian is haunted by strange dreams and visions, all of which keep showing him the same image -- an eye of amber, etched with black runes. The sign of the Divided, masters of magic and saviours of the Seven Races.
