"Happy birthday baby" My Dad said pecking me on the forehead.

"Thanks Daddy" I said with a grin.

"Your Mother will be so proud of the woman you've grown to become" Dad said staring and Mom's photograph.

"I know. I miss her everyday" I said staring at her picture too.

"I do too but she left for your safety and we will always be grateful. Right now she is looking down at you wishing her only girl a happy birthday" Dad said.

"Happy birthday mommy" I heard a tiny voice ans I turned to see my four year old daughter Alessia hugging her teddy bear.

"Aww thank you baby" I sais pecking her face.

"Let's go home to Daddy. He has planned a big surprise for you" She said making a wide circle with a hands making me laughed.

"Mr waffles says happy birthday" she said holding up her teddy.

"Thank you Mr Waffles" I said.

"It's true go home I'm sure Darius is waiting for you" Dad said and I nodded picking Alessia up and walking out of Dad's house.

Alessia run to her room immediately and I walked upstairs to Darius and my room. When I got close I heard two people laughing.

"You should leave now Aislinn will be here soon" Darius said to the person.

"Oh please she's having time with her Dad so she's going to take some time" I heard a familiar voice making me open the door and I wish I didn't.

"Aislinn" Darius said and I looked at him with teary eyes.

' I will always love you Aislinn never betray you' He broke that promise today.

' You are the only woman in my life' He lied because I wasn't.

' I am going to cheat on you' He broke that promise too.

"You betrayed me" I said to Darius who was quite.

"No it's not what you think" he said.

"Oh please it's what you think he has been cheating on you before you two were married. I mean you were the only person who was stupid enough not to see it" Mariah said with an evil smirk just like her Mom's.

"No please listen I can explain" Darius said.

"How long has this been going on?"I asked.

"ugh I already told you before you were married and he's been cheating on you with me. You know I was the one who was supposed to marry him right? He wanted me not some cheap ugly girl like you but he got you instead so we decided to have an affair behind your back" Mariah said and I felt like crying. I really meant nothing to him.

"I'll send you divorce papers tomorrow. Alessia will have a better life with you. Goodbye Darius I hope you have a happy relationship with Mariah and thank you for the birthday gift I loved it" I said walking out of the house.

" Aislinn wait" Darius said but I was already out and I'm never going back.

He betrayed me. He broke my heart. I want to go to my Dad but I just can't.

"Mommy why are you crying?" Alessia asked and I wiped my tears.

"Ale baby mommy has to go but I promise you I will come back for you okay" I said.

"But why is mommy leaving. I want mommy to stay with me" she cried and my heart just broke.

"I am sorry baby but I have to go. I promise you I will be back for you. You have to be a good girl for daddy okay" I said hugging her.

" Please mommy don't leave me" Alessia cried.

"I'm really sorry baby. I promise you I'll be back. Please promise me not to cry" I cried.

"Please mommy" she cried

" Everytime you miss me just listen to our song together okay"

I sang trying to soothe her but she still cried.

"I want to go with you mommy" she cried.

" I want that too but I can't I promise you I will come back for you okay" I wiped her tears and she nodded.

"Aislinn please don't go" Darius said.

"Daddy mommy wants to leave" Alessia cried running to Darius who picked her up.

" I have to. Goodbye Alessia don't forget that I love you. I promise you I will be back for you" I said walking out and she cried more. I just wanted to go back inside and hug her but I couldn't. I had to leave for her safety. I didn't need to see Darius and Mariah anymore.

I got into my car and drove away to the gas station to get so much gas because driving a car to a country is really long and I need to do that.

I switched off my phone to prevent any calls because I know my Dad won't like this. I wish I could have said good bye to him but I couldn't because he wouldn't have let me leave. I know I'm really selfish but it's the only way.

Alessia was right. Darius did plan a big surprise for me.

Alessia will probably never forgive me for this and I will understand her. I just left my daughter alone and drove away.

Please forgive me Alessia and Dad. Please forgive me.

It took me six days to get to Los Angeles. Leaving New York was a mistake and a good thing. I really missed my dad and Alessia. If only Darius had loved me enough.

Was I not a good wife? I did everything he said and wanted. Even gave myself to him when I wasn't fully ready but he just cheated on me with none other than my step sister.

I found a small house to buy and it was good. Thanks to my Dad crediting some money into my bank account. He sent me a message telling me he understands my decision and that I should think it through for the sake of my daughter. Alessia had been crying non stop and wouldn't eat I had to make Dad go over and give her the phone before she ate or fell asleep.

Darius had been calling non stop but I blocked his number along with Mariah and her Mother Danica's numbers.

I really hope I'm not going to regret this.
