Jenna Raine - see you later (ten years)
Cielo's exasperated cry rang out at the dinner table. Face red with tears streaming down her face like the angry rainfall outside. Her throat tightened as another screeched erupted from her small body. Cielo wasn't one to throw a tantrum but the last couple of weeks, her behaviour worsen.
Deteriorating and rendered her to nothing but a spoilt child. This wasn't the the picture she had painted to Cristian about their daughter.
She didn't like her new school nor her new classmates and teachers. She didn't like her food, her room or the clothes hanging in her brand new wardrobe.
Most importantly, she didn't like Cristian. No matter how expensive, how rare or luxurious the gifts he bought her - she turned away with dissatisfaction. Cielo, who was brought up in a pampered and high quality life; it was no different to want Gideon provided her.
"Bebé, you need to eat." Luci urged, pushing her plate closer to her for her to only push it back.
Cristian released an infuriated grunt; sounding like he had been trying to hold it in for awhile. He eyeballed his daughter while cutting his steak. She cried fury hot tears, snot dripping from her nose and she glared back. The knife scrapped his plate, creating a painful sound that fought against Cielo's cries.
His jaw clenched as the noises surrounding him, grew louder and seethed into his skin. With an annoyed growl, he slammed his fist against the table, shaking the content and causing the little girl to jump. It made her cry harder, adding to his pulsing migraine.
He stood, pushing his chair against the floor, and left the dining hall.
Luci watched him storm upstairs; her face stoning at the sight of him walking away from their daughter. She was going to give him a piece of her mind. Crying babies were part of being a parent; he couldn't walk away like that.
Just as she hopped out her seat to follow him, Luci's phone buzzed in her back pocket. She halted, fishing it out.
Rory.
Her eyes scanned the message, a smile creeping on face. She did it, putting the crucial step of her plan into place. Whatever was in the drive was enough to put her brother away - just like Rory wanted. But, once he was in hand cuffs, he was at her mercy.
Luci swivelled; Cristian completely forgotten about, and she dashed to the front door. Slipping on a jacket and grabbing her keys, Luci called for the maid - one of Cielo's new nannies.
"Make sure Cristian spends time with his daughter." She ordered roughly, "She'll get use to him eventually. I'll be back in a couple of days and I want them to get along."
The last thing on her mind right now was Cristian and Cielo's relationship. Their daughter was still young and after some time, her memories of her old life before would fade and become filled with only that of her true family.
In order for their lives to stay as it was now, Luci had to prioritise her brother's downfall. She climbed in the drivers seat of her Mercedes and sped out of the mansion's gate.
She peered in the rear view mirror, glancing back at the mansion and prayed her absence would bring father and daughter closer. Even if they didn't, Cielo will soon get used to his presence and her outbursts would dimmer.

"She should be a size of an avocado this week." Gideon piped, flipping through his expecting parents handbook.
He rested against the headboard of their bed with Rory's head laying atop of his thick thighs. She rolled her eyes, fed up with his comparisons to fruit and vegetables. It only made her hungrier.
Sitting up, Rory faced her husband and traced his stern face and strong body with her eyes. Shirtless and only in a pair of black basketball shorts; he looked godly handsome and so tempting to devour. Rory blinked, shaking off her raging hormones.
He also looked so mismatched especially with the pastel pink book in his hands.
"Gideon." She began, catching his attention. He faced, tilting his head to the side curiously. "Can I go with you to the city?" She asked meekly.
He had a meeting with a few of his underbosses regarding trade routes and cargo handovers of the arms he sold. The meeting was taking place at his nightclub in the centre of Medellín later this evening. And, according to Luci's message, their meet up spot was on the the same street; using the busy nightlife as a cover.
It was risky, however, with the number of people swarming the city, it won't be easy for them to trace Luci. That's what she claimed anyways. Rory wasn't entirely sure if her plan to go undiscovered in an area that her brother controlled was sound but, she put absolute trust in her.
She was after all her brother's sister and she was certain the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. In terms of their cunningness and deception anyways.
"You're okay to sit in on my meetings?" He questioned with a raise eyebrow.
"I mean, I'd like to see the city." She corrected, even though Alvaro had taken her over a dozen times before when he wasn't aware. "I'm craving some street food."
That excuse alone was enough for him to reluctantly agree.
A few hours later, Rory was dressed in an oversize hoodie - belonging to Gideon - and some pastel cotton shorts paired with high top sneakers. Her unruly hair cascaded pass shoulders; she didn't have the energy to tie it back.
Gideon buttoned his cufflinks watching her nod off as she waited for him to dress. He was baffled why she wanted to come along despite sleep slowly trying to steal her attention. Straight up his suit jacket, he knelt in front of her and cupped the back of her neck with his hands.
"I think you should stay home." He frowned, caressing her soft cheeks with his thumb. "I'm afraid the moment the car starts moving you're going to fall asleep."
"No," she denied groggily. "I have to go."
She stood and stretched her limbs as Gideon sighed and lead her towards the cars outside. As usual he travelled with an army of man but with her presences additional security was provided.
She wondered how Luci was going to her slithered pass them. Surely his men would recognised her instantly and alert him.
As they drew closer and closer to the illuminated city, sweat gathered on her palms and her nerves sky rocketed. Her eyeballs seemed to quiver from anxiety that continued to build. She reached into her pockets, feeling the cold metal of the drive pulse against her damp palms.
The car slowed to a halt, outside the back of a massive building - which she assumed was the night club he owned. The carpark was pretty much deserted with only a hand full of foreign sports car parked in a neat row.

Gideon lifted her out of the backseat and the night air chilled her spine. It was autumn and it was colder in the evening now.
"Call if anything happens." He ordered Jairo. Pinning him with a threatening look before leaning down and pecking her lips so sweetly.
With his entourage, Gideon disappeared into the building but not before sharing a look with Jairo once more. A look that unpleasantly twisted her insides. An unsettling feeling clung onto her, refusing to let go.
Rory swallowed nervously. Despite the chilly air, her body felt like it was baking in a sauna. Sweat drenched her skin and it was becoming harder to inhale and exhale with every step she took. Was she making the right decision to betray her husband?
She didn't find the evidence that he ordered Alvaro's death. She even sneakily looked through the files on her own laptop and came up with nothing. Of course, there was evidence that could put him into jail, without question, on the drive. It was just there was none to bring justice for Alvaro.
Jairo followed closely behind her as they walked through the drunk bodies of tourists and locals. Music blared from a speaker nearby and people were swaying to the rhythm with tall glasses and bottles in hands. They laughed and sang; having the time of their lives. How she wished that was her but with a overbearing husband and a baby on the way, it was merely a dream.
A reality that she would never achieve anytime soon.
A surprised gasped trembled from her mouth as someone bumped her side. Jairo was immediately next to her, steadying her and scowling the individual who payed them no attention. Rory scanned them up and down; a low ponytail underneath a navy cap, a zipped hoodie and black jeans. She turned and Rory meet her eyes. Dark and familiar.
Luci.
"Jairo, I'm okay." She reassured him, shaking his grip from her arms.
Rory kept her focused trained on Luci, who was trotting through the crowd with her head down. She followed, feigning interest at the street vendors selling their array of goods. She stopped at a churros stand, ordering extra long churros with chocolate sauce.
In her peripheral vision, Luci appeared at her side - side eyeing her while she ordered her own treats. Luci's eyes dropped the the ground and a pile of cash fell from her pocket. Tension built in Rory's body and the sound of her racing heartbeat was the only noise she could heard.
Rory blinked before dropping to the floor next to Luci.
"The drive." Luci muttered, sweeping her palms across the floor, collecting her coins. "Drop it."
Blinking again, Rory clumsily rummaged through the pockets of her hoodie and fished out the device. It sat in her balled fist while she picked up the last of Luci's fallen cash.
Tossing a look over her shoulder, she caught Jairo texting on his phone; completely obliviously to his surroundings.
Her eyes narrowed; it was unusual of him to retain this behaviour that it sent an uncomfortable shiver through her body. He was always so diligent, cautious and stern with this work.
The feel of Luci's hands atop of her jolted Rory out of her thoughts. She quickly turned her attention back to Luci and unclasped her palm around the drive. Dropping it into her hand.
With a last look, they separated, straightening up before they could garner any attention from the people around them. Rory took a her churros and scurried towards Jairo who looked up from his phone when she approached.
She stole a glance at Luci who disappeared into the crowd but the thought of handing over the evidence on Gideon still didn't calm the unsettling feeling in her stomach. When she turned away, she caught Jairo staring at her blankly that her breath lodged in her throat.
Did he catch who she was staring at? No, because he had been too busy on his phone.
"The Señor said his meeting will run late." He informed, his voice shaking her core. "He wants you to go home once you're ready."
She nodded, tightening her hands around the churros that it began to break in her hands.

Exchanged made between R and L - Jairo's message flashed on his phone screen. His sister was back in Medellín, driving in a few hours prior and leaving her car outside the main city.
He wasn't fully sure if Luci was an idiot or overconfident in her abilities. Colombia was under his surveillance and whatever power Herrera told her he had was incomparable. His family was also under this scrutiny; they had no power unless he was willing to give it to them.
His meeting with his underbosses ended and he sat in the dim lighting of the conference room underneath the nightclub. He sipped on the bourbon, eyes closed, while his thoughts drifted to his wife.
Emerald eyes, her curly hair and her body cocooned in his hoodie.
She had every right to betray him but, still, it didn't make it hurt less.
Gideon listened to the door of the conference opened and several heels clicked against the black marble and gold floors. The strong stench of cigarettes filled the air and burned his nostrils. God, how many packets was he smoking a day?
"Mama," an irritating voice rang out in the room. "Tell him he's being ridiculous and that his plan is a waste of time."
"Gabbie, mi amor, I'm sure you're brother knows what he's doing."
Gabbie groaned sitting down on the leather chair, "Ugh, we should've never let that crazy bitch out of the psychiatric hospital."
"She's just lost."
Gideon peeled opened his eyes, the blinding white light embedded into the ceiling, glaring down at him. It burned but he never averted nor squinted his eyes.
He leaned forward, elbows resting against the oval glass table.
Gabriela and their mother - Catalina - watched him. While he was the copy of their father, Gabbie was their mother. Long dark hair, except his sister had chopped to off to her shoulders since the last time he seen her. Brown eyes, wide and framed by thick lashes. Tall nose and heart shaped lips.
"She's crazy." Gabbie retorted, "This isn't the first time she's trying to pull this stunt. Choosing him over us."
Tension in the room rose and they all shifted uncomfortably.
"Isn't that why Cielo's under our custody and not hers?"

This reborn personal trainer is going to whip the royal army into shape!
Olympics Sports Trainer, Meg Thompson, had never even heard of an otome game, so when she died in Japan during the Tokyo Games and was reincarnated into one in error as the minor character, Briar Bell, she might have unintentionally messed just about everything up for the true heroine...Whether it was her befriending villainesses, or hanging out with capture targets, from the moment she was born she was setting the plot careening off course. (although if you ask her, the original storyline was stupid and hopeless to begin with #SorryNotSorry)The Heroine was supposed to seduce this medieval-esque kingdom's most eligible bachelors in order to use the power of their love to stop the encroaching demon army from destroying humanity with her heart magic. Playing the role of 'heroine' was another reincarnated woman named Sakura, a hardcore Japanese otaku who had previously been hit by a truck in a tale as old as time.Whether it is the fault of Sakura's social ineptness (as Briar would claim) or from her own interventions, humanity is now heading towards total decimation. Seems like she'll have to brush off her coaching skills and get this royal army into fighting form.
