Taylor Swift - Getaway Car
Gideon perched on his massive leather chair, thick dark brows pulled forward in concentration.
Rory stepped inside the office, garnering his attention. He was alone which, again, had her question Sebastian's whereabouts. He was his right hand man, his supporter so where was he?
A twisted grin marked his face and he tilted his head sideways while she slowly approached him or, rather the cat sitting at his feet. Azul became attached to him in her absences, always following him when she needed comfort. She certainly preferred Gideon over her.
She neared his desk and dropped to the floor, lifting Azul into her arms. She purred, nuzzling the top of her head against Rory's chest.
"Are you busy?" She timidly asked.
When she pivoted to eye his screen, her brows knotted together when she saw the he was shopping for baby furniture. The complete opposite of what she expected.
A new weapons design or emailing a client from abroad but no he was buying a white baby crib.
He spun in his chair, his big and opened lap looking very inviting. She licked her lips, the hormones raging again.
Without a hesitation, Rory climbed him, sinking her bottom into his lap. She stroked Azul's fur and she purred happily. Gideon curled his arms around her, his warmth enveloping her in a tight hug.
He continued shopping adding strollers and bags into his basket. Frowning, Rory reached for his mouse, stopping him.
"Isn't it to early to do that?" She asked, gazing at him through her lashes. "We don't even know the sex yet."
"It's a girl." He stressed; not that he knew, he just wanted a girl.
"I don't know." Rory shrugged, her fingers continued to run through Azul's fur. This was her chance. "He seems to like soursops like his dad."
Gideon grinned when she called her dad. His dark eyes shone brightly and filled with excitement. There was a future for them and he couldn't wait. He bent his head, leaning down to capture her lips. He deepened the kiss, his chest vibrating with need.
Rory hands left Azul's fur and she entwined them around his neck, tugging him impossibly close. Her neck turned red against her pale skin from the lack of air flowing into her lungs.
When it was getting to hard to breath, she pulled back, feeling her lips swollen and her pussy pulsing with need.

"I want soursops." She gasped, "Can you peel them like you always do for me, please?"
She battered her eyelashes, fingers twirling a strand of her hair. He flashed her a lopsided grin that hinted a promise of mischief later. Without a word nor a protest, her husband hoisted her off his lap and back down on his leather chair. He left his office, leaving her with her cat and access to all of his secrets.
Exactly what she wanted.
Resting her palm against her rampant heartbeat, Rory clearly listen to the sounds of Gideon's fading footsteps. Getting him to leave was easier than she thought. Yet, she couldn't fight the guilt rising painfully in her chest.
She was betraying him.
Once the rain was the only sound she could hear, she fished out the USB drive from her pocket and plugged into the computer's port. Azul meowed in her lap, looking up at her with her big yellow eyes.
"It's for justice." She murmured to the cat because it felt like those eyes held judgement. This cat was loyal to Gideon, no doubt.
Rory scrolled through his files - client list, messages and emails, photos and projects. She downloaded and make copies of what she could, stocking the drive with - hopefully - evidence of all his crimes. Evidence that will put him in jail.
However, the more she searched and clicked on the files, she saw nothing relating to Alvaro. She even typed in his name into the search bar and nothing came up except for his last few pay checks. Besides that were no mentions of him nor the order to kill him.
There was nothing, not even in the little trash can on the screen.
She wondered, how did Luci get those photos?
Gideon's footsteps echoed through the hallway and Rory quickly snatched the drive off the port, shoving it back into her pocket. Her pulse raced and stomach knotted as he appeared in the doorway with her freshly cut soursops and some coconut water.
He settled the tray on the desk and lifted her onto his lap again. Her mouth watered at the sight of the fruit, she reached for the bowel with grabby hands like a small child.
Gideon's phone pings, earning both of their attention. His brows twisted then his eyes darken, making her pulse race from anxiety. He glanced between her and the phone, his eyes widening and something flashed between his eyes. It was gone before she could read his expression.

But that darkness made her uneasy.
She tilted her head to the side, the spoon still in her mouth while she peered at him with heart stopping emerald eyes. His chest swelled; so much joy and so much love - it won't matter what she did, he loved her wholeheartedly.
"Are you okay?" She asked, lifting a spoonful of soursops to him.
His mouth clamped down on the spoon and he swallowed the fruit. The favours complimenting his tastebuds. Rory smiled, the corners of his lips really reaching her eyes for the first time.
Gideon buried his face into her shoulder blades, taking in her sweet scent. Though, lately she smelled oddly like him. Due to her growing belly, she had been fumbling in his side of the closet. She found his hangers of hoodies and sweatshirts that were far to big for her petite frame.
But, the oversized materials covered their little secret.
"Are you sure you're okay?" She asked again.
His fingers reached to trace her brows that furrowed with worry. Seeing her like this, feeling troubled for him - he loved it. Because, she cared. She finally - actually - cared.
He nodded, "I'm fine. Just eat, Rory."
She leaned against his body, hoping her warmth somehow brought him comfort. Perhaps, his worries laid with Cristian Herrera - a topic she was well aware he wasn't willing to talk about.
They spent hours looking at baby clothes, nursery ideas and strollers. For half of it, Rory spent trying to convince him not to buy everything he saw. Because from her point of view, their future was unsteadied. And, once Luci succeed they were heading separate ways. He didn't know that, however.
He flashed her a twisted grin, mischief evident in his smile. A sense of protective flooded her when she looked him; to protect him from what she was going to do. She smiled in return, bigger and brighter. She hoped he bought it.
Eventually, Rory's body gave out and she turned sluggish in his arms. Her eyes turned heavy and before sleep swept her, she saw Azul's blurry figure trotting towards the window - watching the rain.
Gideon carried her towards the sofa, laying her gently with a pillow under her head. Soft kisses pressed her face with his vanilla scent filling her nose. She wanted to cling onto him, to feel his heat and be held in his arms. But, her muscles were like jelly, unable to support its limbs.
Groggily, she curled on her side and drifted to the sound of Gideon's voice; low and broken.
"No matter what you've done, I'll always love you."
His voice was an echo in her ears and she wasn't entirely sure if she actually heard what he said.
~*~
Shielded by the patio roof, Gideon stood on the marble staring out into the lawn. The outbuilding - where the dogs lived - sat on his left. They were in their house, staying away from the rain.
Rory's cat followed him out, sitting at his feet while they watched the rain fall together. She nuzzled his leg, purring in delight in the process as she walked in between his legs before laying down on her side.
He dug out his phone, screening blankly at the screen with the security message written in bold. A warning that a suspicious activity - an unrecognised device - had entered his computer.
He rang Sebastian.
"Tell her to return home now." He huffed, "I need to speed things up to stay ahead."
"Hello to you too best friend." He snarked, an annoy puffed resonating through the phone. "You're already ahead. How much further to do you want to fucking go?"
"Something came up." Gideon informed, painfully swallowing the lump in his throat.
His chest ached and stomach churned - these feelings he hadn't felt for years returning and holding him in vice grip. Hurt, betrayal, grief and sadness. It stung and burned, and made him feel like he was choking.
Inhaling sharply, Gideon closed his eyes; shutting off the waves of emotions washing over him. It brought relief and eased the pain. He placed up barriers but no barrier could cage his love for Rory. Neither could he switch it off.
God, he loved her and needed her more than the air he breathed. He won't be able to live without her. She was his rock, his anchor that keep him grounded and what held him during a storm.
"Just be in Medellín by tomorrow." He instructed and ended the call before Sebastian whined.
He had a talent for that.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
