Blackpink - Lovesick girls
Antonella, in a wine red dress and her light hair pinned behind her head, was stationed at the entrance as Rory entered the mansion. It was her usual routine and despite Rory's protest, she insisted she wanted to wait.
The moment Rory turned the door handle and stepped into the foyer, Antonella was at her side; circling her and offering to take the backpack hanging off Rory's shoulders. Before she could even object, the bag was expertly removed from her shoulders. And, Antonella began asking her usual questions; how are you? How was your day? Are you hungry?
Antonella led her upstairs, walking the spiral staircase with interlinked arms. After informing her dinner would be ready in 2 hours, she returned downstairs probably joining Daniele in the dining hall.
Every evening Gideon called her and today was no different.
"Hello?"
"I miss you." He confessed for the umpteenth time, drawing another eye roll from her.
"What are you doing?" She asked, sitting down on the hammock on the balcony.
The moment the material swung her gently, a wave of nausea rocked her body, churning her stomach unpleasantly. Gideon's words completely gone deaf in her ear.
"Rory?"
"What?"
"I said what are you having for dinner?" He repeated.
"I don't know yet." She answered, thinking about the mouthwatering food she had the last couple of days.
From meat filled arepas to Medellín's traditional bandeja paisa to hand squeezed orange juices and fruit salads. Her tastebuds salivated in delight thinking about the food, and she found herself craving strawberry obleas.
A low, grumbled moan escaped her lips as she pictured the dessert served last night.
"That's a sound I miss." Gideon teased in a low growl. She could practically feel his rough voice vibrating through the phone.
"Yeah, yeah." She managed to let out. At least, he wasn't here to smell the arousal pooling between her legs.
Another wave of nausea washed over head and she hunched over, the phone trembling in her hands.
"I got to go." She choked out, "I'm feeling a little tired."
"I love you." He said softly.
Rory groggily climbed into bed, feeling her bones crackling with every movement which sent smearing hot pain through her limbs. As she throw the comforters off, her bag - which Antonella must've placed on the edge of the bed - flew to the floor, spilling the content.
Groaning in annoyance, Rory stumbled out the bed and swept the contents back into her bag. Then, the rectangular boxes she bought after meeting Luci at Café del Mar a few days ago caught her eye. She had asked Jairo to stop at a local convenience store so she could pick it up and thankfully, he waited outside for her.
She didn't need him to report anything back to Gideon.
The nausea, the cravings and the pains in her body and the weight gain in her belly pointed to one thing. And her missed periods. She was two months over due. Maybe, she subconsciously knew the truth but just never wanted to acknowledge it. It would make it all to real.
Taking the boxes into the bathroom, Rory sank down on the toilet seat. She had taken one before in Singapore hence, knew what she was doing - sort of. With the signs, she had experienced over the past few days, a test wasn't necessarily but perhaps a confirmation would help her come to terms with it.
Twenty minutes, her eyes were closed as she leaned against the bathroom door. The sticks, at least 5, laid out at her feet, all with the same results.

Positive. She was pregnant.
She held one in her quivering hand though unlike before, she wasn't so afraid of the results. Neither was she ecstatic about the outcome. 18 and carrying a child with a man twice her age. A dangerous man with an impulsive temper, would her child be the same as their father? At that moment, she didn't know how to feel; all she could do was stare blankly at the test.
At dinner, sitting opposite Antonella, Rory ate her soft veal quietly. Regardless of the well cooked meat and perfectly seasoned veggies, the food didn't go well down as she hoped. In the end, she chased her food around on the expensive China, completely lost in thought.
About the baby. About Gideon and about what Luci said.
"So, Rory," Antonella began warily, interrupting her jumbled thoughts. Worried marked her features because it was unlike Rory not to enjoy her meals. "Gideon's birthday is in two days, do you have any gifts in mind for him?" She asked, hoping to drawn a conversation and maybe disturb from what had gotten her so slumped.
She pursed her lips, pondering - what she carried inside her was enough of a gift for him. It was what he wanted from the beginning. However, she didn't announced it. Especially, when she was uncertain about what she felt for the baby, instead she shook her head; causing another overwhelming nausea to seize her up.
Her body swayed and she slammed her palm against the table, rattling the dishes as she clutched her head, wincing.
"Are you alright?" Both Daniele and Antonella asked in unison, jerking in their seats.
She nodded but that merely drove the nausea to another level. It was suffocating her, like she wanted throw up the content in her stomach. Yet, the acidic feeling of bile never reached her throat, it just sat there. Dizziness gripped her in a firm hold; as if the world was spinning faster than it should be.
Rory excused herself from the dining hall, using the walls and the railings as support to get herself back upstairs. Sinking into the soft mattress, she rested her head onto the pillow and her eyelids fluttered closed.
With the gentle wind blowing through the opened balcony doors, she fell asleep curled up, hands wrapping around her stomach protectively.

On his iPad, the security feed from the accident played on a loop. The black vehicle filled the narrow cobblestone path; blockading the road and forcing the street vendors and tourists to angrily strike the top of the car with their fists.
Plateless and tinted windows, the car was meant to be untraceable.
Phone to her ear, Rory stepped out of a little gift boutique with Jairo behind her. Fast forwarding the video, he watched her turn to face the car, the phone dropping to her side. She stood frozen and confused as it shot down the path knocking down the vendors and tourists.
Gideon watched Jairo slammed into Rory when the car swerved towards her. It headed for the pedestrian path, tearing through the stalls and ripping down the canopies.
They tumbled to the concrete, Jairo protectively moulding his structure around Rory. But, the force caused her head to smack against the curb, switching her out like a light.
A series of curses erupted from his throat in deep and pissed off snarls. She was in danger and he wasn't there to protect her.
"Trace that car." He gritted out. "Where it came from and where it went."
Gideon turned his attention back to the video, the car reversed back onto the road, prompting Jairo to roll himself and Rory over to avoid being crushed by the back of its wheels.

"Do you think he was behind it?" Sebastian queried, glancing out the oval plane window.
They were going to land soon.
"Who else in Colombia hates me?"
Having enemies was common in his world. People with vendettas, seeking revenge and people wanting to steal his wealth. Each time they had came for him, he had struck them down and made an example. The message was blatant; messed with him and suffer the consequences.
Though, once the news of him murdering Emmanuel Torres and his family spread like wildfire, many of enemies left him in peace. Because, if a man like him felt nothing when he murdered his own father and two younger half brothers, he won't hesitate to dismantle a mere stranger.
Minutes later the plane lands and Gideon sprinted out of the aircraft. A German sports car sat on the runway and he darted into the driver seat. Sebastian managed to slip into the passenger side the moment Gideon was about to pull out.
Slamming the gas pedal, Gideon sent the car flying down the street - towards the hospital. He was there within minutes, doing over 60mph.
The car came to a stop in front of modern cream building. Frail patients, nurses and doctors on breaks stood casually outside smoking or making small chitchat. Gideon headed for the reception.
"Torres." He stated.
The name was enough to make the nearby staffs to paused and observed him with wide and terrified eyes. One of the receptionist immediately stood.
"Señora Torres is on the private floor."
Taking the elevator to the highest level of the building, Gideon impatiently waited for the metal doors to slide open. Anxiety fired up his spine; a feeling he never felt before until he meet her.
As the door opened, Gideon immediately spotted Antonella and Daniele pacing the floor. Besides those two, there were merely a handful of others sitting on sleek, plush chairs.
"Where is she?" He snarled like a threatening prey. His massive frame tensed, shoulders squared while a scowl plastered his face.
"Señor," Daniele greeted with a nod. "She woke a few minutes ago and asked to be alone with her doctor." He gestured to Jairo who stood outside the wooden doors protectively.
Face blanked and menacing that it made the nurses shuffled nervously as they passed.
"Señor." He nodded, stepping aside to let Gideon through.
Controlling his breathing, he placed his hand on the door handle, pushing it opened and his heart stopped like he saw her for the first time again. It had only been a couple of days and he had missed her so desperately.
She laid in her spotted hospital gown, a white stripe tied around her head. The doctor, a tall and dark headed man, checked her pupils with his torch, while a nurse stood next to him holding a clipboard. She took notes as she checked Rory's vitals.
"Mi tesoro." He gulped breathlessly, striding in long steps. He was next to her in moments, brushing the doctor aside.
Gideon rested his head against her chest, snaking his arms around her middle. He embraced her in a tight hug, taking in her intoxicating scent. Her heart galloped in her chest, beating furiously at his closeness.
"Gideon." She murmured, nails scratching his scalp.
Her arms folded around his neck, pulling him closer to her and a sense of protection filled the room; chasing her fears away. Rory sniffled a cry. She was so scared seeing that car racing for her, it's headlights locked directly on her incapacitating her movements.
She was certain that the driver intended to hurt her. If Jairo hadn't been there and very much alert, it would've mowed her over. And her baby.
"Gideon." She cried in a shaking voice. He flickered his eyes to her, releasing her middle from his cage. Leaning forward, he planted a long and delicate kiss on her forehead. "I was so scared."
"I'm here now." He whispered. "I won't let anyone hurt you."
Rory found herself nodding, agreeing with his declaration because his eyes spoken of fierce determination to never let anyone lay a finger against her. She tore her gaze from her quickly, before she could get lost in those pools of darkness.
"Can you give us a moment, please?" Rory turned to the staffs, flashing them a small, knowing smile.
They leave with their heads down, no doubt intimidating by her husband's presence.
After waking up, the first words spilling from her lips were panic questions about her baby. Thankfully, the doctors were able to calm her, reassuring her that the baby was fine. She was still in her first trimester and the fall she took wasn't too severe. Instantly, Rory cried from relief. Thereafter, she knew that she wanted to keep the baby.
And, it broke her because she was bringing a child into a world of violence with a father rooted in the centre of it all. Wasn't it cruel to subject her baby to such life?
"Can you grab my bag?" Rory asked, pointing to her bag sitting on the low, white coffee.
She rummaged through it, pulling out a long box wrapped in pink paper and tied with blue ribbon. Gideon's birthday was tomorrow but, with their situation right now would make it nearly impossible to keep it from him. Especially, since her doctor had arranged an appointment with the gynaecologist.
"Open it. It's your birthday present." She insisted nervously.
Gideon planted another delicate kiss at the corner of her lips.
"My birthday isn't until tomorrow."
"I know, I just want you to open it now."
He flashed her his twisted smile and began untying the satin ribbon. He lifted the lid, brows furrowing into confusion then surprise.
His face broke into a gigantic grin - this was the happiest she had ever seen him.
"You're pregnant."
Dropping the gift onto the stand, he tugged her head forward and crashed his lips against hers. Rory clutched his bicep, eyes closing as she melted into his kiss. Warmth and desperation spread through every inch of her being, and she kissed him back with the same severity.
Not caring about the guilt and shame slowly burying her alive.
He dragged his mouth down her throat, through the length of her body and settling above her stomach. He placed his ears against it as he cupped her tiny belly with his palms. In the past few days, she had been showing - her front growing bigger day by day.
"I love you." He mumbled, kissing her belly. "I love the both of you." They locked eyes, his look softer than she had ever seen before. "You've made me the happiest made alive. Thank you, Rory."
Gideon cupped the back of her neck. He placed his forehead against hers, feeling his heart swell with so much emotions; love, contentment and excitement.
"It's going to be three of us and hopefully many more." He rasped. "I'm looking forward to our future, thank you, thank you for making it so bright."
Her heart skipped a beat at his confession, sending butterflies fluttering in her stomach. She leaned into his touch with a shy smile and for a second all the pain and heartache she suffered the last 8 months vanished, melting into nothingness.
She felt blissful joy and her heart bursted into several shooting fragments when he kissed her again. Filled with passionate and love so pure, sweet, and so rare. For today, she let herself believe that it wasn't a sin.
