Chase Atlantic - Moonlight

The rain seethed through the small gapes of the thick, metal roofing slates; falling on the rusted metal pipes. The dripping echoed through the dimly lit warehouse. It was damp and cold with a strong stench of mould and mildew, and metal corrosion.

The warehouse sat on the outskirts of Bogotá, on a private road and isolated from any living souls. No one will heard the screams of help.

Gideon stood over the sniper; the one hired to shoot at his wife. They chased him for nearly three days, cornering him at the border near Panama.

A buzz cut, orange coloured goatee, baby eyes with a scar slashed across one thick eyebrow. Freckles dotted the length of his pale skin. From his nose down to his arms and legs. Fully exposed except for a pair of black boxers.

Fionn Doherty. Irish. Former British soldier.

"Who hired you?" Gideon inquired, wiping his bloodied knuckles on a towel. "Herrera?"

"Herrera." Fionn rasped, nodding in agreement.

"I don't believe you."

It would be so much easier if he did.

But, Gideon has been playing this games for too long. The lie falling from Fionn's mouth was too obvious from his perspective anyways.

Gideon discarded the towel and clamped one hand down on Fionn's throat, squeezing. He balled his free into a tight fist and repeated slammed it into Fionn's face. A sickening crack and his noise is broken, again and again. Another punch dislocated his jaw and a few teeth falls to the ground.

Grabbing the back of his head with both hands, Gideon pulled Fionn's face to meet his knees. The force was hard enough to dislodge his head from his spine. Using his feet, he kicked over the chair Fionn was tied to. His body fell with a thud.

He didn't need him alive to find out who sent him. No one in this world can hide from him especially those who dared to threaten his wife; his whole world.

Whoever was trying to wage war with him was a cocky idiot. Did they have a death wish? Because, they chose to go to war with the worst person. Gideon Torres; an arms dealer - equipped with the right equipment to tear down a whole syndicate. He had the man power too and with underbosses ready to send their soldiers in at this command.

Picking up his suit jacket, he trotted out of the warehouse, leaving his soldiers to clean up.

The German sports car rolled through the gates of the Bogotá mansion. Gideon never intended to stay here for long. It was the only place he could get away from his wife; and the crazed that drove him to want to claim her.

Now that she was here, in his childhood home, it wasn't so bad. He could picture them living here with their horde of children playing on the lawn. The place just needed renovating. Perhaps, it was something Rory could do to keep her occupied.

Stepping out the car, the rain instantly soaked his clothes and hair. He opened the doors that revealed the square courtyard and spotted his wife sitting on the doorstep, on the opposite end, with Azul at feet. The cat nudged her ankles as she scratched the top of its head.

In her usual, light weight shorts and sweatshirt she stood the moment she felt his presence.

He crossed the courtyard, stepping into the rain again, and scooped his wife into his arms. He kissed her deeply, letting her know the extended of his feelings for her.

She turned meek, quiet as mouse while she watched the world spin on. He knew she was angry and upset about him claiming her ass. It was bound to happen eventually; it just occurred when she pissed him off with her childish behaviour. Escaping, taking the bus into the city and risking her life because she wanted to go to the goddamn pet store.

After her stunt with Alvaro, Gideon finally calmed down then she went a twisted the knife further.

"Let's go inside." He murmured against her lips.

"I want to watch the rain."

"Okay." He pondered, wondering what was so interesting.

Standing by her, he held onto her hip and nuzzled the side of her face. Dressed in a floral print short and a sweatshirt, she radiated and smelled heavenly. His soap, his shampoo; his scent all over her.

It was arousing.

He smirked into her skin as his dick harden, pressing painfully against its restriction. He started rubbing the bulge against her backside. Times like this he wished she wore skirts and dresses often. They gave him easier access.

Gideon fumbled with his belt and unzipped his trousers, pulling out his cock while pushing down Rory's bottoms. His fingers played with her folds and grinned when he felt her wetness.

So soft and ready for him.

He eased inside her narrow hole slowly, groaning at the way she stretched for his girth. He turned her to the pillar, pressed her front against it as he began fucking. In and out steadily to let her adjust to his size.

Once Gideon determined that she was ready, he pumped her faster. Her pussy felt so full like it could burst at any moment. Rory held onto the pillar, tears stinging her eyes as the pleasure coursed through her body.

Her moans grow louder when Gideon fondled her breasts. He pinched her nipples and her body practically shook with delight. The pain and pleasure combined awoke something primal; feral. She had so desperately trying to keep it dormant. But, like a volcanic explosion it erupted and became uncontrollable.

Gideon lifted her in his arms and slammed into the walls. His fingers tighten on her lips and he thrusted her against the brick. She found his hair and tugged as he teeth sank into her throat.

"Oh god." She cried out, fisting his jacket firmly.

Rory kicked and squirmed her legs when the orgasm spread through her core. His mouth was on hers seconds later. Taking her breathe away with his aggressive kiss. He sucked and he bit her bottom lip, making erotic sounds that tuned with the rain.

But, all that she could heard was the erratic way her heart was beating. It echoed in her ear and pulsed in her pussy. Pumping indescribable sensations through her veins like she needed it to breathe.

Pulling away from his lips, Rory buried her face into his shoulders. She clutched him firmly, holding on as he railed her pussy, seeking his own release.

He made her come again and again, drawing more of her cries and moans. She found the expose flesh of his neck and bite down hard. It was the only way to keep her sounds from alerting the whole mansion.

With a grunted, Gideon lifted her up on his cock and slide her back down; emptying his load inside her.

They held each other in an embrace while they wait for their pulse to slow and their adrenaline to wear.

Gideon rocked her calmly and hummed. And, instantly the stiffness disperse leaving her somewhat peaceful. He rubbed her thighs with one hand while the other, slide under her sweatshirt and drawn circles on the small of her back.

She was sleepy now.

Rory untangled herself from Gideon and pulled up her shorts. Next to her, he fastened his belt and tucked his shirt back into his trousers. He pulled her against his again and rested his chin on her shoulders, swaying theirs body to the sound of the rain.

He slid a palm under her top and it rested on her belly. It was still flat and no sign of a child yet.

"Why do you want a baby so bad?" She queried, turning in his hold. He had came in her again.

Surprised flashed in his eyes, not expecting her to be so forward today. She barely said a lot the last few days. Though, he enjoyed her docile nature, he liked her curiosity more.

"I want to be a father." He admitted, holding her gaze. "A father better than my own."

"Was he a bad man?"

"In my eyes, he was." He chuckled, laying his cheek against her chest.

"What did he do?" Rory scratched his scalp with her nails and he visibly relaxed; smiling softly at the sensation.

"He left me. He left Gabbie and Luci. He left my mama." His arms tighten around her waist and he snuggled closer. "I won't be like him. I will never leave you and our children."

"You don't know that." She scoffed with a roll of her eyes. "You might get annoyed with me and leave."

He chuckled. That big chest rumbling against her middle. It was ticklish so she bite the inside of her cheek to stop the giggling from bursting.

"You're already annoying but I'm still here."

He stretched to his full size. One that towered over her and forcing her head up to look at him. Their foreheads meet and she fluttered her eyes shut the moment his lips grazed her.

"I never believed in love at first sight. Then, I saw you." He rasped, almost breathlessly. Running his palms down the length of her neck, he cupped the back of her head, "I fell so fucking hard. You were like a beacon of light in my dark world; something so rare that I just had to grasp onto."

"Gideon-"

"I love you, Rory." He confessed.

Her heart raced in her chest. Pounding louder than the rainfall. He told her he loved her more than once before and she never believed it. She wasn't sure if she wanted to even now, was he in love with her or was it obsession?

She searched her husband's face; taking in his taut skin, the lines of his lips and his dark stubble; his tall nose and his dark hooded eyes under thick straight brows. She saw the appeal; dark and dangerous, rough at every corner and so gruff and manly. Something even the good girls craved.

He was strong and powerful like he had nothing that could be his kryptonite. But, the stronger they were the harder they had fall. Back then she didn't know what could bring down a man like Gideon. He had the world bending at this will.

Now, as she stared at his face, she saw his weakness in the reflections of his eyes.

She pursed her lips, a look of exhaustion and frustration plastered her on face.

Rory leaned forward and hugged his middle. She ran her palms under his shirt were she felt the bandages wrapped around his torso and shoulder blades. He saved her from those bullets, for that she was thankful. The tips of her fingers found the strap of his holster. She traced it and found his gun.

Taking it in her hands, she clearly slide the metal out of its holster and pulled the gun on him. Pressing the metal firm into his chest, making sure the safety was off. One pull of the trigger and he was dead.

When she lifted her eyes to him, he didn't look scared. But, he will be.

"I think I've told you before that I won't mind dying by your hands." He smirked, tilting his head. "At least you removed the safety this time."

"I'm not going to kill you." She grimaced. "I don't think I can live if I took someone else's life." Just the thought of it made her sick. She wasn't like him, or Sebastian or any of his soldiers.

He never took his eyes off her. She was trembling and her tears were slowly falling one by one. He reached to wipe them away but they kept falling. Each tear breaking his heart a little, making him feel so powerless like nothing he could do or say could reassure her.

"Rory-"

Removing the gun from his chest, Rory pressed it under her chin and for the first time she saw true fear etched on his face.

Checkmate.

If this was a game of chess she would've won.

"Do you love me Gideon?" She asked, voice wavering while taking small and calculated steps back.

He followed like a moth to a flame.

"Yes, I love you." He said keep his voice calm as possible to not scare her. "I made it evident in my confession moments ago."

"Then, why do you hurt me?" She choked out in pained tone.

"I'm sorry."

"You don't look sorry." She glared then her voice grew louder, louder than the rain. "If you're sorry then get on your knees in front of me and beg for forgiveness!" He watched her for a moment, expression hard. "Do it or I'll gladly kill myself right here, right now." She threatened, holding his gaze.

He fell to his knees without a word. His whole body moving before his mind could catch up. It was something in her eyes, those capturing green gems, that made him comply. A crazed and mad look that he only ever saw in himself. She wasn't buffing, she would pull that trigger any moment.

And, that's what frighten him; the thought of losing her right now. He could save her from a sniper and any one of his enemies but he can't save her from herself.

"I'm sorry." He pleaded, looking up at her with glassy eyes. "I don't want to lose you, please Rory forgive me."

She remained silent, searching his face for any hint of insincerity. There was none because he was truly petrified of losing the only good thing in his life. She was his weakness and he was certain she knew.

"Again but tell me why you're sorry."

"I'm sorry I hurt you. That I killed your family, that I hide your mother away." He swallowed the lump in his throat and inhaled sharply. "I'm sorry that I took something from you which you weren't willing to give me."

As he said those words, her bottom lip trembled. Gideon kept his eyes trained on the gun, afraid that her quivering was going to set off the trigger. He can't lose her, he can't lose her because he won't want to live in a world where she wasn't in it. He would follow her straight to heaven even if he wasn't allowed in there.

"Rory, please." He begged then grimaced at the desperation in his voice. He sounded like one of his victims when they asked to be spared. "I'm sorry, so please put the gun down."

"No!" She screamed, an ear splitting sound that wrenched his heart and soul. "I want you to admit everything. I want you to say exactly what you did to me."

"I cut you and carved my name into your skin."

"You did." But, he also carved it somewhere else - where she didn't want it to be.

"I raped you."

"You raped me." She repeated weakly with tears glistening her cheeks. Marred on her face was pain and he wanted nothing more than to build a time machine and rewind the last 7 months.

His heart leaped in his chest when she lifted the gun to her temple. Without thinking he pounced forward and encased his arms around waist. She stumbled a little but he kept her steady. He kept his eyes trained on the gun the entire time.

He can't lose her.

"I'm sorry." He stammered. "I'm so fucking sorry. I'm selfish and I'm evil." He swallowed. "And, I know I don't deserve you but if I let you go I don't think I can live anymore."

He lifted his chin and gazed into her eyes. Love and longing, and all that he felt for her.

Why did he always have to look at her like that? Why can't it be someone else?

"Kill me, Rory." He begged sincerely. "Set yourself free by killing me because I won't live without you."

Rory cried harder at the realisation that it was the only way for her to be freed of his cage. But, like a domesticated bird, she grown use to her life and if she were fly away; she won't survive.

Where could she go? No one to turn to, no money, no job and no home. She had nothing except for a mother rendered helpless from her illness.

Shaking her head, Rory dropped the gun to her side and threw it across the courtyard where it landed between the flowers. She stared at the man at her feet who looked as scared and frighten as she was. Why did it have to be him?

"I don't want you to die." She admitted, leaning her forehead against his. She cupped his finger and her thumb felt the tears on his cheeks. Was it hers or his? She wondered. "I don't want to die either, Gideon. I don't want to die." She repeated with so much honesty and need. "I want to live because I haven't yet. There's so much out there for me."

He nodded at every word letting her know he heard.

"But, Gideon." She warned, those eyes growing cold and threatening that even he shivered. "The next time you hurt me or threaten me, I will burn down your whole world and you won't be able to do anything about it."

All it was going to take was a bullet to a vital spot or a knife across her throat, wrist or through her chest.
