Chapter 45- A Slight Change In Plans.

Diego's POV

"Are they on the border yet?" I asked Phillip. He shook his head and I sighed impatiently. What the hell is taking them so long? We've been sitting here for an entire hour waiting on the bastards to show up.

"Uhh...Diego..." a dark guy called out to me. I turned around to look at him, seeing that he was looking through a pair of binoculars.

"What is it?" I asked him walking over to him.

"The Triton Kings are already there," he said.

"What, that's impossible. Phillip was..." I trailed off and turned to him direction to see him no where in sight. That f*cking bastard!

"What are they doing?" I asked him angrily.

"They're basically chilling in the living room and---"

"Ensure that all of them are accounted for," then I turned and looked at another guy, "a group of you go find Phillip. When you find him, bring him back to me...alive. We're taking him back to the Alpha."

"Diego!" someone shouted out for me. I growled at their stupidity. Didn't they know that it would be easy for the Triton's to hear us?

"What did I tell you guys about shouting out like that?" I hissed at them when I approached and watched the front door to see if anyone would come out. Then I turned back to him, "what is it?"

"We found Phillip," he notified me. I nodded and two other men brought him forward.

"Why hello there, little Phillip," I teased him but he just growled at me and tried to get out of the men's tight grip. It only made him angrier when he noticed that he couldn't move.

"Let's go, we're leaving for the Alpha now," I told them, "be sure you tie him up so that he can't move. Wouldn't want the Alpha to be upset, now would we." After they tied him up, we got in the truck and sped off.

Unknown Alpha's POV

"Alpha," a male's voice came outside from my office.

"Enter," I told him. The man stepped in and shifted nervously on him feet, "going to say something pup?" I quizzed him not looking away from my papers.

"Diego is here," he informed me and now, I looked away, "and he has some news for you."

I walked in the main conference room where the man told me Diego was waiting. When I entered, I saw him sitting in my throne. MY throne. I growled at him in warning and marched up to him.

"I can see why you love all the power. I can just feel it in this chair," he said, "power and authority."

"Get the f*ck out of my chair, Diego," I ordered him. He smirked at leaped out.

"I have some terrible news for you, your highness," he started then snapped his fingers and two men came out with another hanging from their arms.

"Who is that?" I asked.

"That, your majesty, is a traitor," he told me, "remember he was the leader of the hunters before you appointed me."

"A traitor?"

"Yeah, no wonder we can't get the girl. Every time we are one step closer, he pushes us two steps backwards."

"What's his name?" I asked him as I made my way up to my chair, "and why is he unconscious?"

"His name is Philip and he tried to pull a little...stunt on the way here and I punched him in the face and the guys gave him some chloroform."

"We can question him later," I said to Diego then turn to one of the guards, "get The Hunters a place to sleep for the night."

Unknown POV

I tried to sneak into Diego’s room quietly but he was well trained. The slightest noise woke him up.

"What the hell?" he asked groaning.

"I have to talk to you," I told him then closed the door behind me. The room wasn't as big as mine, only consisting of a bed and a window but I guess it wasn't like Diego was planning on staying.

"About what?" he asked.

"Do you know about the Tubbuc Tribe?" I asked him.

"Yeah, they are a private tribe that is only requested for...wait a minute, what does this have to do with anything?"

"Because the Alpha is planning on sending them out to work with you guys,"

"What?! The Tubbuc Tribe is the most brutal tribe out there. They wont care if I'm in charge of not, they'll just act on their own," Diego argued, "they are all arrogant sons of b!tches."

"Yeah, which is why we need to get the girl before him and get the hell out of here,"

We were all gathered in the main conference room that following morning as Diego had some new information.

"Alright, our hunters have gathered some useful information, or at least I hope it is useful. But before we go there, I'd like to inform the council of our newest traitor, Philip Hinds." The pack made disapproving noises and they brought out Philip in chains. He was looking to the ground in sorrow and disappointment.

"He will be placed in our hands until the board has come to a proper punishment," the Alpha said to us. Then he turned to Diego and said, "this is the man who has brought our traitor to justice and I'm hoping that, with this disgraceful man out of the way, we will find our Luna!"

"Alright, thanks for that, Alpha," Diego started, "alright we have two problems but don't worry we'll sort them out. The first problem being...there is a new pack, quite small for now but they reside on Triton lands so it won't be easy for us to attack them. However, being that they are a new pack, they wouldn't have the security measures that one would expect so we can try and sneak past their borders into Triton lands," he said and murmured went through the room. Diego waited for silence before continuing, "the other problem is our location. It is too easy to find. When we were first there, I remember on of the Triton boys sensing us and his tracking senses didn't quite help so we had to leave there for a while, leaving us with less information about them that entire week.

"Also, thanks to our leak over there," he pointed to Philip, "we've been behind on a lot. I've been noticing that he was disappearing for weeks but I thought he was...you know taking breaks or hooking a girl or something. Instead, when we searched his cell, we found out that he was in contact with another Alpha and, from the messages we saw, they are also searching for a girl. My men aren't exactly sure if they are looking for the same girl that we are, but we are trying to find out. That's why we haven't found the girl yet, Alpha. We're trying to move locations so we are less noticeable."

"So, how does this---" the Alpha's third in command was about to say but Diego stopped him.

"Try not to interrupt me when I'm talking," he said confidently and the whole room looked at him shocked, "the faster we find a location, the faster we get the girl."

Alpha Carlos' POV

I paced my bedroom and tried to calm down at what I was being told. How could she do this? Didn't she know who I was? Didn't she know what I was capable of? I can't believe Michael failed us. Could he just get this girl and be over with it?!

"Are you sure?" I asked the man in front of me once again.

"You know I wouldn't lie to you," he said. I growled and kicked the first the in sight...the dresser. That b!tch! How could she betray me like this? Or was she forgetting that I had the one thing she cared about? The one thing that she was willing to sleep with me for? An evil smirk appeared on my face.

"You're still meeting with her, right?" I asked him. He nodded and looked at me warily. He had every reason to look at me cautiously, I had a way to be...dangerous.

"The next time you meet with her, I want you to kidnap her and bring her to me," I told him. His eyes widened and shook his head laughing nervously.

"I'm sure that there is another way---"

"Did you hear what I just said?" I angrily asked, "bring her to me."

One week later…

Mystery Girl's POV

I looked curiously around to ensure that no one from the pack was following me. When I made sure that I was alone, I hurried to the meeting place. I really didn't want to do this but I had no other choice. This man...he was a nightmare. He would do anything to win.

"So nice of you to join us, my dear," his voice rang when I approached them. I swallowed my fears of him and put on a poker face.

"It is my pleasure, Master," I stated as I walked over to him and took a seat. I glanced over to my right and saw him. The monster that wanted my friend. His smirk reminded me of the night he attacked the entire village...out of anger.

"You look beautiful, my dear," the monster said, "too bad my heart belongs to another." I put up a false smile and looked away from his lustful stare.

"So, what is the plan?" the monster asked and I tensed at the sound of his voice. It had an evil twist to it and I knew that he had a plan of his own.

"Well, I want you to go in and trick her in to coming with---"

"I don't think that plan will work out too well," the monster himself interrupted, "if we just send her then it won't work," he finished, pointing towards me.

"It was the Alpha's plan. He really wants that girl," the Master stated.

"And we'll get him the girl...in time,"

"What do you suggest?"

"We should send my dear friend in," the monster said, "isn't that right, Drake? Surely you have nothing more to lose."
