Chapter 40- Survivor.

After the most terrifying hours of hell with both Hayden and Lucas verbally tearing each other's skins off, I could finally get up and get the hell out of the room. Not that I don't enjoy their company at all, but...you guys get the point, right?

Anyway, I was on my way to the cafeteria when I hear a sob coming from the back. I froze and curiosity got the best of me, so I went to check it out. When I went around the back I saw Alice sitting down with her head crouched between her legs.

"Alice, are you ok?" I asked her. She lifted her head and I could see how red her eyes were and her nose was stuffy. I went to sit beside her and wrap my arm around her.

"Alice, what's wrong?"

"I...I...can you please remove your hand?" she asked her voice course as ever because of how long she was crying. I quickly removed my hand from around her but never moved from beside her. I had a feeling about her.

"Can you tell me what's wrong?" I asked.

"It's nothing...just something...you know what, it's nothing," she said as she got up.

"Come on, tell me. I won't judge you,"

"Zara, I mean Alpha Zara, it's nothing," she told me once again, "don't take this the wrong way but...it's nothing that concerns you so can you not speak about it?" Then she was about to walk away but froze when I asked her that dreading question.

"Alice, are you a rape victim?"

She stood there with her back towards me as she tried to breathe in and out. She turned around slowly then looked at me with shocked eyes.

"How did you know that?"

"By the way you behave. The way you act around people. The way you don't want anyone to touch or be around you. The way you are always alone," I started but when she closed her eyes, I stopped.

"How do you know all that? You've only known me for basically four days," she said. I sighed then looked at her.

"Because I used to be a rape victim," I told her. She gasped and her eyes widened.

"Really?"

"Yeah, but I didn't let that stop me. I may have been a rape victim, but I didn't let that stop me. Sure it was pretty hard when it happened because no one seemed to care, then I met my mate and everything change. I'm sure you wanted to die then but because of him that sudden aspect changed. If you let him in, he can help you," I said to her.

"You really think so?"

"I know so," I responded with a smile, "but you have to learn to trust him and no that no matter what, he'll never hurt you physically....EVER. He might be an ass and say some stuff to hurt you mentally, but you can't be afraid of all that. You have to learn to take risks."

"I don't know if I can do that, Zara,"

"Yes you can, don't be a rape victim...be a rape survivor,"

Lucas' POV

I was seated with the guys and we were doing some serious talking. Who the hell were we fooling; we were joking and laughing our asses off. This is the best vacation we've ever had....considering the fact that we don't get vacations because of the whole rouge thing and...Yeah.

"Hey, isn't that Pierce?" Max asked with a smirk on his face.

"It's Alpha Pierce to you," Hayden stated bluntly as he passed us on the lawn. I think he was headed over to the cafeteria.

"Well someone needs to get off their high-horse. You don't hear anyone calling me Alpha Ferrari, now do you?"

"Yeah because you're an asswipe and no one respects asswipes," Hayden said. As he was about to pass me, I 'accidentally' stuck out my foot. He fell face-down on the floor and all the guys started laughing.

"Did...you...just...see...that?" Oshane said through his laughter. I was dying with so much laughter, I didn't see Hayden stand up and punch me in the face. Everything went silent. My wolf was surfacing and I could feel how angry he was. How angry we both were. I growled and stood up to match his eye level.

"You wanna try that again, pup?" I growled at him and he just smirked at me.

"With pleasure," then his fist connected to my jaw for the second time. That was the last straw. I shifted into my sandy brown wolf and growled at him.

"Oh, you think you're so tough?" Hayden asked then chuckled and walked away. I growled loudly then went and pushed him over on his face...again.

"That's it," Hayden growled then shifted as well. His wolf was dark brown and he snarled at me. We completely lashed out, nothing held back. We circled each other and I could hear the crowd. They were telling us to stop, but neither of us listened...too blinded by our own anger. I attacked him first, and the first started from there, each trying to tear at skin to weaken our opponent. I heard the girls screaming but paid it no attention, and then my sister stepped in.

"Lucas, Hayden stop NOW!" she shouted, her Alpha voice in full command. We both froze and stopped to look at how angry she was.

"Both of you in the cabin now," she said sternly and when neither of us moved, occupied by glaring at each other, she growled, "I SAID NOW!"

Yeah, we're in deep sh!t.

"I want both of you to apologize now!" Zara shouted. She's been saying that for the past half hour and we have been arguing that we won't apologize until the other does. However, my problem was that I wanted to leave so I could go see Maddison.

Don't get any ideas now, we're not together...yet.

"You guys are acting like a bunch of five year olds," Becky said as she shook her head slightly.

"But, Aunt Becky, it's not even my fault. I wasn't the one who started this," Hayden stated staring angrily at me.

"Don't look at me, douchbag. You know you started this," I retorted.

"I don't give a f*ck who started it, but it's gonna end now. I want both of you to apologize to each other right now, or I swear to God, I won't talk to either of you ever again," Zara said. You could tell that she wasn't joking. I looked at Hayden and he looked at me then we both sighed. Obviously, we both needed to talk to Zara.

"Fine, sorry dude,"

"Sorry man," we both said our apologies at the same time. I glanced over at Zara and saw that a smile was tugging at the corner of her mouth.

"Good, well now you can leave," she told me. I rolled my eyes, got up and went through the door. I firstly went over to my Cabin to see if the guys were there. I came in and saw the guys sitting watching some movie on TV.

"Lucas!"

I was crushed with a bone gripping hug then I felt a pair of lips on mine. Electricity ran through my entire body and her scent encircled me. I was completely shocked at first but then I got so caught up, I didn't even remember where we were. My arms went around her waist and I pulled her close to my chest. Our tongues met and fought for dominance but then I pulled away to look at her.

"Are you alright?" she asked me.

"Yeah, baby I'm fine," I mumbled to her as my lips brushed against hers. She closed her eyes and sighed.

"Good," she said.

"Care to explain, Mr. Alpha?"

Karaoke Night- Individual's Night.

Zara's POV

"Alright, as scheduled, tonight will be our Individual's Karaoke Contest. Our last contest was pretty hot wasn't it?" Uncle Jerry said in the microphone and we all applauded, "now that's what I'm talking about. Let's get this party started.

"Come on, just go up there. I know you can," I encouraged. Alice groaned with her head in her hands.

"But I don't want to go up on stage in front of all those people," she said.

"Why don't you guys just go up together?" James asked. I glanced at him then looked back at Alice.

"Would you?" she asked me.

"I...I...uhh...sure, I guess so," I responded, "but what are we gonna sing then?"

"How about your favourite song?" Cory asked looking at her softly. He tried to reach out for her hand but she took it away before he could. He sighed and looked away from her.

"What's your favourite song?"

"I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift," she replied. I nodded with a smile.

"Yeah, that song's cool. We can do that one," I told her, "I can sing the first verse to open it up then you can sing the second verse."

After everyone got a feel of tonight's karaoke contest, I went looking for Alice. I found her sitting and talking with Charlotte.

"Hey are you guys ok?" I asked as I sat down with them. They both looked up but Alice answered.

"Yeah, good...I guess, " then she turned to Charlotte, "we can tell her, you know. She has been through the same thing."

"Tell me what?" I asked but an answer didn't come. I was gonna ask again but Alice spoke.

"Charlotte is a rape victim too."
