Chapter 39- Thirsty...For Injuries? (Day 4)

Zara's POV

I was nudged awake and screamed at to get the hell up. Don't ask ME why, go and ask Natalya, Abiagle and Lilly...oh, let's not forget Jenna. I angrily stomped to the bathroom and put on the 'bath suit' that they gave me with wide grins on their faces.

Situation: Everyone is planning on going to the river today...some are even gonna try and swing from the huge cliff that they had this rope hanging from.

Problem: 1) It's too early to be even thinking about swimming. 2) I was planning on staying in bed with Hayden all day but the guys had dragged him away, as per the girls rules and lastly, 3) The bath suit that they wanted me to wear wouldn't be considered an outfit if it was the last piece of clothing on Earth. The thing barely covered me up!

"Guys, I'm not wearing this!" I shouted out at them as I took it off. I heard them curse and then some shuffling. There was a knock on the bathroom door then it was opened and another suit came flying through (landing on my head by the way). I growled and angrily swatted the suit off my head. I have been thinking...

Solution: Try to sneak out of this horrible place, kidnap Hayden and then run off where no one can find us. THEN and only then will we have some peace and quiet.

"Zara, are you done?"

"Don't rush me, woman," I replied to Natalya. I put on the bath suit and (surprisingly) it hadn’t looked half bad. It was a sexy red crotchet one piece bikini with black fishnet running along the mid area to 'cover up' the stomach. It looked....well, sexy. I really liked it.

"Are you nearly finished?" Nat shouted again. I sighed and walked out. I saw that Natalya had on pink crochet swimsuit with a loop just below her breasts and then a small area of crotchet in the middle of her stomach going from large to small; Abiagle was wearing a green crochet swimwear bikini style with the same crotchet style only hers goes from smaller to larger; Lilly had on a purple crochet one piece but hers fully covered her stomach as it connected with the bottom; and lastly, Jenna had on also a yellow crochet swimsuit with a sling wrap across her stomach.

Guess we were the Crochet Gang.

"Are we all wearing crochet?" I asked them as I walked over to them and sat on the bed. Natalya grinned.

"Yep, isn't it so cool?"

"Where did you get all these suits?" I asked her. She just shrugged it off.

"I had bought a box of them, all crochet but different designs," she replied, "off Bryon's credit card of course." I laughed and gave that to her, though I would never do that. I prefer to earn my money than jus take it like that.

"Alright, let's put on some heels and---" Nat was about to say when I cut her off.

"Heels? Nat we're going to a river," I told her.

"It's a lake, Zara," she corrected.

"Lake, river...same difference," I responded, "I am not wearing heels to a lake-slash-river,"

"Fine, we can wear flip flops then," she said and we all got our things, put them on and left the room. I noticed we were the last persons in Cabin A so the place was very quiet.

"You know what we should do?" Jenna started, "walk there in slow motion and make everyone look at just us."

"Not a bad idea my friend," Nat said. Oh Jesus...

Grumbling, I got in line with the girls. Sadly, they had agreed that we should all walk down in slow mo. All except me of course. Since I was the Alpha Female for Triton Kings, I had to be in the middle with Natalya, Alpha Female of the Redwood Pack, and then the rest of them just fell back.

"Come on, smile," Nat said as she took a picture with her phone, "this is going on Instagram so smile."

"Really Natalya, really?" I said to her. She just shrugged and took the picture. Then we walked down the pathway and when everyone heard the clicking of our heels then everyone turned around to stare at us. Our arms were linked with each others so we looked totally badass. All the packs were partially separated but we all sat in one place. Us girls made our way over to Hayden and the guys, Bryon and the Redwood Pack sitting next to us.

"Hey boys," I greeted them then sat down beside Hayden. His eyes couldn't seem to leave my bath suit.

"Zara, can I talk to you...at the cabin for a minute?" he asked me his voice strained a little. I looked at him confused but got up and walked back to the cabin with him following behind me.

As soon as we got up to our room, I turned around and waited for Hayden to come through it. When he came through it though, he attacked me with his lips and we fell on the bed. I moaned and wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. He kissed me like it was the last kiss we would ever have. Fiery. Lustfully. Passionately. When we were both out of breath, he pulled away and kissed his way down my jaw then my neck.

"Shit," he muttered then pulled away. I tried to pull him back but he just gently let me go.

"Hayden. what's wrong?"

"It's kind of...you're just..." he trailed off.

"Just what?"

"I'm really tempted to mark my territory right now...permanently," he said.

"Oh," I said, it was all I thought of. Did I have a problem with him marking me? That's all in the past. But what about my past, what am I gonna do about that?

Just let him mark you, we'll figure it out, my wolf told me. For once, I decided to listen to her. She wanted this and so did I.

"Hayden, it's fine," I whispered to him and I pulled him back, his lips grazing mine.

"Zara, are you sure? Once my mark goes on it, it can't be removed...only improved," he said.

"I know," I responded. He looked at me for certainty then his lips covered mine. We kissed again, only ten times better. The first kiss was just out of passion and lust, this one was purely love and affection. His lips left mine, kissed down my neck way down to the middle of both my breasts. I moaned and my fingers tangled in his hair.

"You're so beautiful," he whispered against my skin. I grinded my area against his and he growled and his head went to my neck. I felt a sharp pain run all over me for a spilt second then I felt his tongue massage the area. Sparks ran through my entire body and I arched my body to him.

"Hayden," I moaned pushing myself closer to him. He looked into my eyes, his wolf showing more than him.

"Mine," he growled possessively.

All yours...

We walked back to the lake hand in hand, a grin on Hayden's face. I rolled my eyes at his immature behaviour and was about to pull away from him when he spun my in his arms.

"Seriously Hayden?" I asked while I was laughing.

"He marked you?" Nat asked as she rushed up to me.

"Yeah, your choice of swimsuit wasn't helping my...need," Hayden answered for me. Immediately, everyone started rushing up to see the mark on my neck.

"I knew my suits would come in handy," Nat squealed, "now all we need to do is plan another one of these river socials where we can get you in another one f my suits. I have this real sexy one where the loops---"

"Hey, hey, hey, Nat...could you stop planning when Hayden and I finally reach that step," I told her. She only showed me the finger then went off to sit down with Bryon.

"Hey, nice going Pierce," Bryon commented. He laughed and we walked over to him. They bumped fists and did their man-to-man chat or whatever you men do. I laid down on the clothes that were set up where we were and soon, I felt Hayden sit beside me.

"You alright?" he asked me as his hands rubbed down my arms. I sat up and smiled at him while nodding.

"Yeah, I’m alright,"

"Pierce, wanna go check out Thirsty?" Bryon called out.

"You know it," Hayden answered back, "Tritons, we Thirsty?"

"What?" I asked confused but I heard 'yes's' and 'hell yeah's' from everyone in the pack. They all got up and Hayden held out a hand to help me up.

"What are you guys talking about?" I questioned as I grabbed his arm. I landed right in his chest and I looked up in his beautiful hazel-brown eyes.

"Remember the rope that I was talking about a few days ago? Where we jump off and have some wicked diving styles?" he asked and I nodded, "well, that's where everyone's headed."

"Zara, where's everyone going?" Lucas asked me as he and his crew decided to get up.

Apparently, there's a huge rope that the Triton's and the Redwood Pack have to look forward to every summer they come hear," I told him.

"Wow, and your precious mate says I'm immature," Lucas joked but was loud enough for Hayden to hear when he was just a few feet away from us.

"Lucas, don't," I warned him but Hayden came storming over anyway.

"What did you say, pup?" Hayden growled.

"Last time I checked, you were the pup around here," Lucas commented. Hayden stepped forward but I went to stand in front of him, my hand of his chest.

"Hayden, don't okay," I pleaded to him. I could see his eyes shifting colors as his wolf was fighting to come out. He looked at me then wrapped his arm around my waist prepared to walk away then Lucas began taunting him again. He let go of me and punched Lucas straight in the face. And the fight has begun...

Not even Bryon and James could hold Hayden back. When I saw Hayden had the better part of the fight, I ran up to him and tried to pull him back. A fist was flung at me from underneath Hayden and I flew backwards landing on my ass. I groaned and closed my eyes as the pain went through my body.

"Zara?!" Hayden cried out and less than a second later he was beside me.

"Zara, I'm so sorry, I didn’t see you," I heard Lucas apologize but Hayden growled at him. Tears ran down my eyes and my hand went to my leg.

"Zara, don't move," Hayden whispered in my ear then I was lifted off the ground.

"Hayden my ass hurts," I whined and he chuckled, "and my leg."

"Yeah, we'll let the doctor look at your ankle for you," he replied.

"What about my ass?" I asked him teasingly with a small smile on my face. It's very surprising how I can be in so much pain yet I could make a joke out of it.

"Your little ass is all mine," he whispered in my ear.

The doctor had said that my leg would be fine as long as I don't move for at least four hours. My wolf was healing very quickly but the disadvantage in this situation is that I would have absolutely nothing to do for FOUR HOURS!!!

"Hayden," I whined at him for the sixteenth time. Yes, I've been counting...that's how bored I am.

"Zara, I have nothing to entertain you. Do you want my phone?" he asked me. I sighed and nodded since it was the only thing in here to keep me occupied. We had moved from the television to board games to "Simon says" and now this is where it has brought us.

"How many more hours do I have?"

"Three more," Hayden replied and I groaned internally, "honestly, I have no idea how you're---" he was about to say but was cut off when the door opened.

"Zara?"

Lucas' POV

I growled angrily as my wolf sniffed out the area. Too good Alpha and his stupid ego. All he thinks about is himself, no one else. And for him to actually think he could have challenged me. ME???!!! I was so angry that I kicked down a tree. Yeah, that's how angry!

"Lucas!" I heard a voice call out. It kept screaming for a while then it stopped. I growled and continued to tear apart the roots from the tree. Hey, don't judge ok, I'm not in the mood.

"Lucas," a voice said in relief. I spun around to see Maddison standing there completely out of breath with a pair of shorts in hand. She made an attempt to come near me but my wolf only saw anger. I growled at her warningly, trying to tell her to stay away from me before I hurt her. She froze when I growled at her and made no more efforts to come near me.

"Lucas, can you switch back, please," she begged, "everyone's worried sick." I still just stood there, on all fours, observing her. A few minutes passed and nothing was said. The only sound heard was the swift wind passing through the trees.

"Lucas please, your sister is in a lot of pain and she really needs you," she said. Yeah, she's in a lot of pain because of a stupid Alpha. Stupid, egoistical, cocky, full of himself, Alpha. Thinks he's all that, f*cking stupid. I growled loudly and I saw my mate flinch in front of me.

"Lucas, come...come on, just...just change back," she said but now her voice was coated with fear. I stepped forward but she stepped back as soon as I did. I growled at her but she tripped over something, causing her to fall on her back. She winced and I froze when I smelt blood. The thoughts of killing the Alpha vanished from my mind and I quickly morphed back into my human form to check on her. She was easing herself up but her focus was on her arm. As soon as I was in front of her, I took her arm in my hand and saw that it was sliced very deeply.

"You honestly think I was going to hurt you intentionally?" I asked rhetorically as I inspected the arm.

"I hardly know you, besides you looked angry so I don't know what you're capable of," she said looking down.

"I would never hurt you like that, no matter how angry I am. I am still your mate," I told her. I tore a piece of her shirt and tied it around her arm tightly so that it would stop most of the blood. She winced slightly and I quickly apologized. She looked down then looked everywhere else while blushing.

"Can you...uhh...can you put on some clothes?" she asked and I chuckled through my seriousness. I leaned down and took up the shorts she had brought and quickly slipped it on.

"Better now?" I asked her with a smirk on my face.

"Can we go now?" she asked changing the topic. I smiled at her then slipped my arm around her waist as I placed my head in the nape of her neck. Her back was to me as I inhaled her scent deeply calming my nerves. My lips started making small kisses on her neck and I heard her moan as I bit her neck. So that was a sensitive spot...interesting.

Very interesting...

I spun her around in my arms and continued to kiss her neck and her cheek. Her fingers twisted in my hair and pulled my lips down unto hers. This was the first time we had kissed and it was amazing. Her lips were so soft. My arms tightened around her waist and she pulled away. I rested my forehead on hers as I allowed my lips brushed against hers once more.

"Come on, let's head back," I told her then pecked her lips. She nodded though her eyes were still closed. She looked like she was having an internal battle about something then the next thing I know; I feel her lips on mine again only longer than just a peck.

"Yeah, we should...head back," she said.

Hayden's POV

I had been trying to keep Zara occupied for the past hour, and honestly, I've never seen a girl get so bored in my entire life. The moment she is excessively winning at a game or doing something too long, she throws it away and looks at me, expecting something else. I had given her my phone but she surely got bored of that too.

"How many more hours do I have?" she asked.

"Three more," I replied and I heard her sigh, "honestly, I have no idea how you're---" I was about to say but was cut off when the door opened.

"Zara?" I knew that voice well to well for my liking. Hw stepped in the room and we both glared at each other.

"Lucas, what are you doing here?" Zara asked her brother fiddling with my arm so I could calm down. I'm glad that she saw how angry I was, honestly.

"Can't I see my sister?" he asked.

"No, not since you're the reason she's here, you can't," I said as I stood up. He gave me a death glare.

"I don't think I was speaking to you," he said coldly.

"Lucas, don't say it," Zara said before he could say anything, "Hayden sit down and calm the f*ck down. I'm already stuck in here and I can't move, do you honestly think it's the time for fighting?" She seemed to have a point and I sat down and Lucas stood at the opposite side of the room.

"Zara, I'm so sorry for hurting you like that. The punch was meant for cone face over there, not you."

"Don't you have any other place to be?" Hayden asked. More like snarled but you get the picture.

"Not at all," Lucas said with a smirk.

This is gonna be a hard three hours....
