Chapter 21 - Triton's Camping Trip

Unknown's POV

"Have you gathered the required information?" I asked her. She looked at me with fear in her eyes. Those beautiful hazel eyes. They reminded me so much of her.

"Yes, I have it," she replied in her tiny voice. I could easily tell that she was absolutely terrified of me. The thought made me smile. As I like to say, it's better to have people fear and obey you than love you and disrespect you. I've learned that so much in life.

"And she's there right now?" I asked as I started planning my next attack. She nodded and looked down.

"Yes, but she's always going to be with him. How are you going to get her?"

"You shall not worry your pebble sized brain about how I do my work little girl," I said to her smirking evilly.

"Yes, sir," she said. You see...fear and respect.

"Oh, you should know, later down...I'm planning on hiring a friend of mine,"

"And who might that be, sir?"

"I'm right over here, beautiful," a voice from behind her said. Her eyes bulged out in shock and she became tense, "missed me?"

James' POV

"I'm so going to win this," I heard Conner say to Logan as I came down the stairs. I rolled my eyes at them.

"Still trying to beat my high score, guys?" I asked them sitting down on the couch beside Conner. They both scoffed at me not looking away from the screen.

"Please, that high score was beaten an hour ago dude," Logan said to me.

"Sure it was," I responded sarcastically.

"You wanna test you skills, asshole?" he asked. I smirked and grabbed a controller. As I entered the game, I looked at Logan and Conner smugly. No one could beat me, well...except for Bryon. This will be a piece of cake.

Half an hour later...

"...please enter the Tunnel of Luxury, player 3," the console said referring to me. I smirked over at them and then went back to the game. I had the option to choose two luxurious items in the room (sadly, it was only in the game) that would make me ahead of everyone. I chose the 'refill my energy' icon and the '$1,000,000' icon.

"Oh come on James," Logan whined. I laughed and continued roaming the lands.

"Told you I'm the boss," I said.

"Oh really now?" a voice from behind me said.

"Yes, Zara, I am a boss at this game," I said, not even looking at her.

"I'll let you live in your fantasy world for now since I just came but I'll be back," she said then went towards Hayden's office. I rolled my eyes but decided not to comment. A pair of arms came around my neck and lips kissed my cheek.

"So you’re a boss now?" Lilly asked.

"Yes, yes I am. You want to see how bossy I can be?" I flirted with her as I flipped her over and settled with her on my lap. She giggled at my sudden movement and I grinned down at her.

"So who am I in this equation?"

"Hmm, let me think," I said as I put my head in the crook of her neck, "Since I'm the boss, you can either be the sexy secretary that I have my way with after work or... a model for my fashion business."

"Mmhmm, both options sound pretty good, it's just that I'm so concerned with this stripper dress that I bought just awhile ago. I was planning on playing boss and stripper but oh well..." she said earning a growl from me. I kissed her and she smiled against my lips while she wrapped her arms around my neck. I dropped the controller and placed my arms around her waist.

"Get a room!" I heard Logan shout. I growled at him after I pulled away from my mate.

"Do you mind?" I asked rhetorically and then turned back to kiss Lilly again but my sister interrupted me.

"There you are," she said as she entered the room. I groaned and buried my head in Lilly's neck. Then I sighed and looked back at her.

"What do you want, Jenna?"

"Great greeting by the way," Jenna said rolling her eyes, "but anyway, I wanted to know if I can come with you guys to the camping trip next week?" she asked.

"Oh shit...I totally forgot. Uhh...did you talk to Hayden about it?"

"He hasn't been downstairs since morning," she said folding her arms. I sighed once again.

"What camping trip?" Lilly asked me.

"Well, every year before we go back to hell, we go on this camping trip. It's sort of a beach trip plus us going to the lake and camping out thing," I said to her.

"And by hell, you mean school?"

"Precisely,"

"And we party like crazy," Conner added which made me smile. Ahh, the parties...

As if on cue, we heard laughter from Hayden and Zara who were coming out of the office. He had an arm around her waist and she rolled her eyes at something he said.

"Hey lover boy, have you planned the camping trip yet?" I asked Hayden. His looked at us confused, so did Zara.

"Huh?" he asked and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Camping trip...beach trip...the lake...does any of that ring a bell?"

"Oh right...what about it now?" he asked. I slapped my face with the palm of my hand.

"Zara, I thing you're doing him too hard because he's suffering from memory loss," I said to her making her laugh and Hayden to roll his eyes.

"Whatever dude," he said while rolling his eyes.

"Let me remind you that the camping trip is next week," I said as he sat on the couch, pulling Zara in his lap. Lilly made an attempt to get comfortable in my lap and I just squeezed her waist.

"Please remember where you’re sitting, babe," I whispered to her making her blush. I smirked then I looked at everyone else.

"Alright, let's just make this a teen meeting," Hayden said to us and then informed all the teens (ages 17 to 19 of course) via mind link. After a while, Jonah came in and sat beside Jenna. I saw her slightly move towards him which made me narrow my eyes at Jonah. He looked at me sensing my stare and shrugged while removing his arm from the back of the couch.

"Yeah, so who's not here?" Hayden asked.

"Natalya," Jonah said, "she's gone...somewhere."

"And how do you know that?" Jenna asked him and everyone eyed him curiously.

"She told me," he answered. Alright then...

"Alright...moving on," Conner said and just as he said it, Abigale walked in the room and sat beside him.

"Yeah, first things first, who's coming?" Hayden asked and everyone's hand rose in the room.

"Umm...James can I bring my friend Maya?" Jenna asked. I nodded at her and she smiled.

"Aright, next on the agenda...which other pack is coming?" Conner asked.

"You guys normally bring other packs with you?" Zara asked.

"Yeah, we do that so we bond with other packs and...well, make peace bonds," Hayden said. Zara nodded in understanding.

"Oh, well which pack are you guys gonna choose?" she asked. I looked around the room.

"Any suggestions?" I asked.

"I don't know, I guess we could bring Bryon's pack. Oh, can we bring more than one pack?" she added.

"Well...we've never thought about that before but I guess we could do that," Conner said.

"Uhh...well we can bring Bryon's pack, Alexander's pack---" Zara said but Hayden interrupted her.

"Wait, Alexander as in my brother Alex?" he asked and she nodded, "why do you want him there. He's a pain in the ass."

"No, you’re a pain in the ass as Alexander pointed out clearly," she said smirking at him.

"You weren't saying I was a pain in the ass last night when I was---" Hayden was about to say but everyone shouted at him and gagged. He laughed at them.

"Let's stick to the topic please," I said as I shuddered. He rolled his eyes while he chuckled at us.

"Yeah, so it's settled, we're bringing the Redwood Pack and the Nixon Shadows," I stated.

"Oh but what about me, big bro?" we heard a voice from the door. We all turned and saw that it was Karen with her hands on her hips.

"Oh, well...uhh..." Hayden said then sighed in defeat, "do you want to come Karen?"

"Yes!" she screamed, "Gavin and I will start packing---" she started to rant when Hayden stopped her.

"Wait...what do you mean by you and Gavin? I just invited you, not the little twit," he said and then groaned in pain when Zara elbowed him in his side. He looked at her while she looked at him with a stern look while she folded her arms.

"Oh come on, Zara," he protested but she still didn't respond. She just gave him the look. He sighed in frustration and defeat then turned back to Karen.

"Fine, Gavin and his pack can come," he grumbled making Karen squeal and jump up and down.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you..." she said and then ran up to hug Hayden. After that, she hugged Zara, taking her by surprise.

"I'm liking you so much better now," she said smiling at Zara. Zara smiled back at her while she rested her head on Hayden's shoulder.

"Alright, so the packs coming are the Redwood Pack, the Nixon Shadows and the Bane Creek Pack," I said trying to clarify.

"Yeah, I guess so," Hayden mumbled looking very unhappy. I chuckled at him and shook my head in amusement.

'Way to be a man, Hayden,' I said to him through our mind link and laughed mentally.

'It's to make my girl happy...and me getting something in return," he said showing me his signature smirk. I rolled my eyes at him and focused on the others.

"Alright, who's bringing what?" Jonah asked.

"Wait, before we go there, what's the minimum a pack can bring?" we heard Gavin ask as he stood at the door way.

"Let's put it at ten per pack," Conner answered. Gavin nodded and wrapped his arms around Karen who stood in front of him. I heard Hayden sigh and when I turned to look at him Zara was whispering something to him.

"Oh Hayden, can I talk to you after this little meeting?" Gavin asked. Hayden looked at him curiously but nodded none the less. You could sense the tension in the room.

"Next topic at hand," Conner said, "Who's bringing the food?"

"I'll bring pizza," Abigale said instantly.

"I can bring some cotton candy and some marsh mellows," Lilly said, "I have a world famous marsh mellow snack that I can make."

"Oh yes, we should make her do that. She's amazing," Zara agreed while rubbing her stomach.

"That sentence wasn't so...appropriate," Jonah teased her and Zara stuck her tongue out at him.

"Well, as you all know, I will be bringing the beer," Hayden said and I fist-bumped him. Zara rolled her eyes.

"And I can bring some snacks," Gavin said.

"But I don't see any women suggesting that they'll bring some cooked food," I said and all the boys agreed with me. Zara scoffed.

"It's called camping. You want cooked food then be a cave man and go hunting," she said and Lilly high fived her while laughing.

"So, what about sleeping arrangements?" Gavin asked.

"Hayden's dad always sets us up," I notified him, along with the rest of them who didn't know, "besides there's like a huge cabin there anyway but I doubt it would fit four pack."

"So, I guess were all set," Abigale said.

"Where are we all meeting up?" Gavin asked. Everyone looked around waiting for suggestions.

"How about the field?" Hayden asked. We all agreed and that was it for our camping trip. Our camping trip was a go.
