《Protected by BTS》Chapter 53: Bear in Hibernation

You felt someone shaking you awake, but you were too exhausted to open your eyes. "Misun? MiSun-ah?" The soft voice said from above as their arms continued to shake you awake. You hid under the covers and flipped over, trying your best to get out of their reach.
"Aish, this girl." Jimin pouted before yanking the blanket away from you. You gasped at the cold air on your legs and then yelled again when he pulled you by your forearms to stand up. "Yah, what are you doing!" Jimin bent down and gently put you over his shoulders.
"Brings back memories, huh?" He laughed and you suddenly remembered the first time you tried running away. Jimin had carried you away like this when you didn't know they were Bangtan yet.
"I was just sleeping, pabo!" You shouted, already fully awake. Jimin walked out of the room with you on his shoulders while you continued your protests. "I wasn't running away, what in the hell are you doing!" You struggled helplessly. Jimin slapped your butt and you gasped, "YOURE. DEAD." You thrashed even harder before realizing how you could feel his arms on your bare thighs.
What am I wearing?
Since you were upside down, you couldn't exactly tell. But you could make out that you were wearing some large t-shirt and you'd hoped some shorts.
Jimin made his way to the main living room of the penthouse and Yoongi was in the kitchen cooking. He spared a glance your guys' way but didn't exactly care much more after seeing you struggle.
The rest of the boys also watched the encounter and Jimin finally set you down on the counter. "Was that really necessary?" You punched his chest and Jimin grunted, not expecting you to hit so hard.

He pouted, "What did you want me to do?! You haven't eaten and you've been sleeping for the last goddamn 26 hours." You blinked a few times, "26 hours?"
Seokjin came to sit beside you, already passing out the plates. "Yeah. We wanted you to sleep since you worked so hard but you haven't woken up since! You were like a bear in hibernation!"
"I really thought you were dead. Jinja!" Namjoon jokes as well.
"Food's ready." Yoongi plated the food in front of you guys and you noticed that all of the members took their seats. Jungkook was helping Taehyung, since he still needed assistance, and Namjoon took slow steps to the counter. They were all doing much better than you would expect.
"You should take a shower after this," Hoseok pointed at you with his chopsticks, "I changed you and brushed your hair but you're gross." He laughed cutely and you scowled at him.
"Will do, oppa. Maybe afterwards I'll practice driving in your favorite Toyota Supra." You smiled and continued eating. Hoseok's face dropped, scared that you were being serious. "That's a lame comeback threat," he grumbled.
"Threat? Oppa just wait until you see me behind the wheel of your precious car."
"Misun isn't allowed to drive anything from now on. I'm serious!" Jimin interjected, also remembering how you drove. "I agree." Yoongi piped up, not even bothering to look up after taking another bite.
The table of boys laughed as you rolled your eyes and filled your mouth with more rice. Once the laughter died down, Namjoon was the first to speak, "Well, now that we're all here. We should talk about what happened. Misun, you didn't get anything out of the CCTV cameras right?"
You swallowed your food quickly and wiped your mouth before speaking, "I couldn't trace the plates because it was a stolen vehicle. I lost them through the channels so I don't have anything. Do you guys have any idea who it could be? With a small lead, I could track them that day and see if I find anything."

"Maybe Jennie and Jisoo? They've always threatened us?" Taehyung suggested.
"Ani, they only do that because they want Seokjin hyung and Jimin's attention. They are too in love with you guys. I doubt they have the resources for the scale of this attack." Yoongi answered.
You laughed, "You guys pull, huh." The boys were shy but secretly they knew they did.
"Chanyeol? He got screwed over by that one deal last month. He doesn't exactly like us and he does have the resources for this kind of thing. I heard he's been looking to get back at us for some time." Seokjin added.
"Oh! Or Kiyoung! He lost of lot of cars to me and said he would get even one day since I had taken a lot of his properties." Hoseok said deep in though, trying to remember the incident from months ago.
"You guys sure have quite a few people who don't like you, huh?" You said as more of a statement. Namjoon agreed, "With great power comes great adversaries. Not a lot of people like us but even so, we hold a lot of power. We have a lot more enemies who have always been looking to knock us down. But I don't think shouting out random people who want us gone will help."
Jungkook raised his hand, like a little kid. "Wait, I can think of one. Hanbin and Jongsuk! Before I lashed out on Jongsuk, I remembered him saying something about 'taking away everything' from us. I don't know, it was something like that, but it got me mad and that's why I lost it when I fought him. Jongsuk is the type to hold grudges and Hanbin is a shady guy. I wouldn't be surprised if it was their family."
"That's not possible," you shook your head, "I was talking to Hanbin when you guys left Seokjin's club."
"You were?!"
"Huh?"
"What?"
You nodded at their confused faces. "That's the guy you were talking to at the bar?" Seokjin's face frowned and you nodded once again.
"He wasn't invited to my opening..." Seokjin picked at his food in thought. "But I guess with his status, he could have gotten in."
"But him being there doesn't automatically eliminate him. If anything, it makes it a little suspicious." Stated Yoongi.
"I can observe him and his movements from online. If he really is guilty, I'm sure I'll find something." You offered.
"That would work," Namjoon then had another thought pop in his head. "Oh, and the stuff you asked for are all going to be here within the next few days. When did you want to start?" He asked. "Well as soon as possible but how many storing facilities would you guys need equipped?"
"Well the most important storing facilities would be our science lab, our safes, our imports," Namjoon continued to list off random words, which you were unsure of what it could connotatively mean. "So 7 major buildings that need to be protected. If they wanted to rob us again, they would probably go after these buildings."
"I guess I have my work cut out for me."

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
