《Protected by BTS》Chapter 38: It's Me

Your first thought when you opened your eyes was: What the hell happened last night?
It was somewhat of a blur. All you could really remember was eating so much food, drinking, swimming, more drinking, and karaoke. However, all you could remember were small flashes of memories.
You sat up, realizing you were laying on Seokjin and your legs were sprawled out on top of Taehyung. Looking around, you saw the rest of the boys, drunkenly passed out. They all looked so cute sleeping and you were going to finish off your surprise for them.
Slowly getting out of Seokjin's lap, you gracefully -- clumsily -- fell on the floor. With a loud thump, you groaned and somehow none of the members woke up. You stretched and stood up, taking one last look at your cute members. Stealing Yoongi's phone, you took a selca with each sleeping member. Satsified, you headed to the kitchen, starting to prepare them a hangover breakfast.
Yoongi opened his eyes and cracked his neck. He silently chuckled at the sleeping positions of each member. He awoke to the smell of food and rubbed his eyes. Glancing behind him to look at the open kitchen, he sees you hard at work.
Groaning and standing him, he walks to your side. "I'm surprised you aren't hungover. I sure as hell am." His husky morning voice breaks the silence and you are slightly surprised at his presence. "I'm fine. I'm pretty tired but not hungover."
"Ah, I'm jealous. It's because you're so young. I used to never get hungover but now I'm old. Anyways, what can I do?" You shook your head, "Don't worry. I've got it all covered. I'm just about finished so maybe you can just get all the members up."
He nods and walks over to each member, poking them to wake up. The easiest to wake were Namjoon, Seokjin, and Taehyung. Yoongi had a harder time with the rest of them. Jungkook refused to open his eyes, Hoseok continued to clutch onto Jungkook, and Jimin kept finding new positions to lay on the floor.
"Food's ready, boys!" You called and the boys stumbled into the kitchen. All the boys forced themselves into the seat, even Jungkook, Jimin and Hoseok; however, they couldn't keep their eyes open at the table.
"Last night was fun but this hangover is definitely not." Hoseok rubbed his temples. You went to one of the upper cabinets to find where they stache their medicine. You take the bottle of painkillers and offer them all one.

"Hajima. Hajima. You're too loud Hobi." Namjoon put his face on the counter.
You laughed, "I cooked the ultimate hangover cure. Eat up."
The boys slowly pick up their chopsticks and take large bites of the food you made for them. Your food earned a satisfied moan from almost all of them. "Wah, you're a great chef." Jimin smiled and started to feel better. In fact, they all started to feel better with your hangover cure.
"How do you guys feel?"
"Better."
"Much better."
"Mmm"
"This is amazing!"
"Yah! The food is delicious."
"My headache isn't as bad!"
They all shouted at once, gorging themselves into the food. "My dad worked a lot so I had to learn to feed myself. Since you guys had so much alcohol,"
"You had a lot too, you were the first one to black out." Taehyung teased and laughed with a full mouth of food.
You continued, "I cooked foods high in cysteine, an amino acid that your body uses to produce the antioxidant glutathione. So tell me if it really helps. And it was my first time drinking, oppa." You defended yourself against Taehyung.
"Thank you for the surprise, MiSun-ah. It was really fun. I think we made a lot of new memories last night." Namjoon smiled and paused from eating.
None of which I truly remember. You laughed to yourself.
"Yah! Remember when Jimin was dancing on the table during karoke? I really thought he was going to fall! Jinja!" Hoseok laughed loudly and everyone joined in remembering.
"Oh!" Seokjin interjected, "Or when Taehyung tried taking a really cool looking shot but spilled it everywhere?" Another guest of laughter filled the room.
"I had to pull Namjoon away because he was about to step on the spill. He would've fallen, I'm sure. But then he just ended up breaking the lamp!" Yoongi pointed at the broken lamp in the corner of the room. Everyone laughed a lot harder and your laugh started to become inaudible because of your lack of oxygen with each laugh.
"Wait! When did the lamp break?! I was singing so much that I didn't even see it happen!" Jungkook added.
You guys continued to spin off with more memories of the night, but some memories were more prominent in your mind than others. You had a lot of gaping holes in the events that transpired.

At the end of breakfast, Namjoon had stopped the reminscing of the night. "Yes, yes, we had lots of fun. But like I was saying earlier, it was a great surprise. And we've been working on one for you too. I guess now would be a great time to show you. Come on." he stood up and all the members followed. Everyone seemed to know what was happening but you.
Following them, they had stopped at the familiar door to their personal gym, which you obviously never went into. Me? In the gym? You must be dreaming. It was on the other side and the penthouse floor but close to the stairs of the boys' rooms.
"What are we doing here?" you asked as they opened a path for you to open the door.
"Open it." Jimin nudged.
Twisting the door, you expected to see the lines of workout machinery, a wall of mirrors, open mats for their sparring and warming up, and weights on the side. The only familiar thing in the room was the large mirror wall.
Inside, you saw a furnished dresser, a large king sized bed with a black frame, black walls, and string lights throughout the room.
"What is this? What happened to the gym?"
"We moved the gym two floors down. It was an empty space so don't worry about it. And this is your new room! It's actually the largest bedroom now since it used to be the gym." Seokjin smiled.
"Sorry it took so long. We wanted to make everything look nice for you and get everything prepared before showing it to you. But since you had a surprise for us, we thought it would be a good time to show you" Namjoon crossed his arms, satisfied at the work the boys have been doing for it.
"I still need to get you so more furniture for al your computer techy stuff. But for now, this is what you have." Taehyung continued.
"This is-this is-so amazing!" You were practically jumping in excitement and hugged each of them individually. When you got to Jungkook, you had a realization. "Sorry they took away your gym. But at least you won't have me as a roommate anymore." You tried assuring Jungkook and there was a slight awkward pause. Jungkook then pulled you into an embrace, just like you had hugged the other members. It was oddly comforting being in his embrace and he felt the same.
"Don't worry, the new gym is so much bigger and better!" he said as if he just got a new toy. the members and him laughed. You pulled away from the hug and playfully punched his chest.
"I also got you a phone!" Taehyung held out a new phone, still in his box. "It's mostly so we can easily contact you."
"Thank you, oppa!" You hugged him once more. Turning to all the members, you bowed. "It was a fun night guys. I'm glad you liked your surprise because I think this is a great surprise! Thank you so much." You became a little sentimental and your voice softened, "Thanks for everything guys, I owe you guys a lot already."
Jimin engulfed you into a hug, being the touchy person he is. "We love you Misun-ah!" He squeezed you tight and he reminded you of a cute puppy.
"I actually have been thinking so I have another surprise for you I guess." Namjoon rubbed his chin and smirked. "I know I said your on house arrest forever now, but that's obviously not realistic. So here's what I've been thinking: You can go out, as long as you have one of our members with you, and you undergo some training."
You peaked your head in curiosity and all of the members laughed, somewhat scared for you. "What's wrong with training?" You asked in response to all the members' reactions.
"You get to train with the best fighter in BTS. Training with him, will make all of us feel more comfortable if you're ever outside of the house." Seokjin explained.
"Okay cool, sounds fun. Who is it?"
Jungkook stepped up from behind you and leaned towards your ear tauntingly. "It's me."

8 78Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com.
