《Protected by BTS》Chapter 18 Another Picture

After the long talk and you both have calmed down from the crying fit, Yoongi made a call. In only a few minutes, a car had came to pick you guys up and soon you were back at the penthouse.
You and Yoongi tip toed back into the house. You looked at the time and realized that it had been almost 4 hours since your fight. The darkness of the night only made tensions worse as the penthouse looked empty. In reality, everyone was silently in their rooms, not knowing how to handle the situation of you and Namjoon. Yoongi led you to Namjoon's room because you knew you still had to apologise. After everything Yoongi said, you could only feel sympathy for all of the boys.
You made a mental note to find out how similar you are to the rest of these boys. They all have history like you is what Yoongi's whole speech was about.
You got to Namjoon's door, where you could see light coming from underneath. He was still awake. You were scared to knock on the door, but Yoongi knocked on it for you. You shot him a small glare and he only shrugged.
"I'm not in the mood. I'm doing some work, so leave." Namjoon growled from the inside of his room, and it sounded like he was trying not to yell.
Yoongi looked at you, urging you to speak. You sighed and thought to yourself, screw it.
"Oppa? Oppa, can we talk?" You said quietly but enough for him to hear. You slowly heard rustling about the room and Yoongi left giving giving you a thumbs up.
Namjoon's door opened and you rolled your eyes at Yoongi heading off to his own room.
"MiSun-ah. Uhm, come in." Namjoon said awkwardly and let you into his room. You could tell that he was on his computer on his desk before answering the door.
"If you're busy, we can talk later."
He shook his head and sat down on his bed. He patted the place on the bed infront of him and you took it. "I just like to drown myself in work when I need to take my mind off. No need to concern yourself with it. What did you want to talk about?"

You rubbed the back of your neck not knowing how to start. "Uhm, I... I just wanted to come say I'm sorry for the way I acted. And I'm sorry for disobeying you.
He was slightly surprised at your actions. He had originally thought that you were going to ask to leave or something. Namjoon had not expected you to apologize and so quickly at that.
He nodded, "Thank you for the apology. I guess I owe you one too. I've been sheltering you a little too much I guess."
You shook your head, "No I understand why you're doing all of this. Yoongi oppa talked to me about... well a lot of things. I understand oppa, and I'm sorry. I shouldn't have blown up like that at you. I didn't know everything that happened. I mean I still don't know exactly what happened to your family but I didn't know that you have every right to be looking for them just as much as me. I shouldn't have put all that blame on you. There's no need for you to apologize."
Namjoon got up from his spot on the bed and walked over to his desk. He rummaged around his drawers until he took out another photo.
"Another photo?" You asked in slight excitement and Namjoon nodded while handing it to you.
"Do you just always keep old photos in your drawers?"
"MiSun-ah, stop questioning everything and just look at the picture." He turned your head for you and you looked at the bestowed photograph.
It was a group picture in front of the restaurant you found RM that night you were kidnapped. "This is the place you saw me at, when you followed me remember? That's my father, that's your father," he pointed at the familiar man, "this is you," he pointed at a small toddler holding a child's hand, "and that's me." He said pointing to the child holding your hand. You smiled.
But there were still other people in the picture.
"This woman and that man," he pointed to the innocent smiling faces standing next to your fathers', "are the people that killed my father. They are also the people who have your father."

You thought you didn't hear him right.
"Wait, what?" You asked in disbelief.
Namjoon nodded. "My father Kim Dae Jeon, was a wealthy business owner. He founded MIK. He was also a notrious crime lord who's best friend was your dad, as I've already told you.
They grew up together but they also grew up with two other people. Those people are that man and that woman. Her name is Sam Young Jae and his is Won Ho Sung." He said with a gritted expression.
"My grandfather took in your father for saving my father's life. Your father was very smart and my grandfather thought his intelligence could help my father once he inherited their criminal legacy. They became the best of friends. Won Ho Sung was one of my father's body guards when they were children, so they also had grown up together. Then there's Sam Young Jae, she was my grandfather's vassal. I am not exactly sure why she was put under my grandfather's care, but she was.
They all grew up together and were the ultimate group of friends. Once they were older, my father started MIK Enterprises and inherited the crime family. The four of them ruled in the underworld. It was great for awhile until that one day. The day those two turned on us. They betrayed our fathers' and killed the legacy my family worked to achieve. Our titles fell and my father died. That was the last time I ever saw you or your father." He said sadly and looked over at you.
He shook his head. "It was a long time ago. It's a little fuzzy in my mind, honestly. But I'll tell you what I remember."
You were only 5.
"Namjoon-ah, stay here with MiSun-ah. We're going to go handle some business alright? Don't open the door unless it's one of us." Namjoon's father said as your father put you down.
"What's wrong?" Namjoon asked in a whisper, seeing as you were asleep as your father laid you on one of the couches.
"Nothing's wrong son. We'll be back. Just don't leave this room, okay?" His father hugged him and your father pat his head.
Namjoon nodded as the doors closed. He sat next to your sleeping body and watched on the TV before falling asleep as well.

Namjoon didn't know how long he had slept, but he was awoken by you. You were shaking his arm, scared.
"Oppa! Oppa!" You whisper yelled to him and he groaned.
"MiSun? What-what's wrong?" He said groggily, trying to go back to sleep. You shook him violently again.
"I-I think I heard a gunshot." You said scared. You had already known what they sounded like from a young age, growing up the way you did. "We need to go! Father always told me that if I heard a gun shot to run the other way! Now let's move!" You tried pushing him off the bed.
Namjoon fell off and stood up. "Ugh, MiSun-ah, we can't. Our father's told us not to go out." He said getting comfortable again to go to sleep.
You huffed and opened the door. Namjoon heard you and you ran out the door. He quickly followed you behind. "MiSun! Get back here! Our fathers said not to leave that room!" He had finally caught up to you and you heard a loud 'bang.'
You had grown frightened once again and instantly hugged him. He held you tight and started to run back when you were met with the one named Won Ho Sung.
"Oh kids, c'mon we should go meet your fathers." He said calmly. You were about to follow him when Namjoon pulled you back.
"N-no. I think we'll go on our own. We can't go with you. Our fathers said-" Namjoon was grabbed roughly by the collar. "Stupid kid. You're too smart for your own kid." Won Ho Sung has lost his patience and was running out of time.
Ho Sung threw little Namjoon into a wall where he was about to pass out. The last thing he saw before he lost consciousness was you crying and Won Ho Sung taking you away.
