《Protected by BTS》Chapter 17: Bangtan History

About 15 minutes later, you were done crying. You slowly released yourself from the hug and moved away from Yoongi. He didn't say anything as you seemed worried.
"I'm sorry ... but why are you here?" You said in a quiet voice. He shrugged, "Just wanted to see how you were doing." Yoongi said softly.
You guys sat there in silence before you wanted to ask again. "Seriously, what are you doing here? Just go back with the others."
He finally looked at you, "Well, I'm pretty sure they left. I also wanted to talkwhen you've calmed down."
You scoffed. "Talk? Talk about what?"
"After that big fight with Namjoon, I think you should go easier on him." He started looking down and fidgeting with his hands. "He was very worried for you. That's why he put out an order to bring you safe and unharmed. We didn't mean to kidnap you a second time."
You scoffed again.
"You have to understand, these people you're trying to find, Namjoon has been trying to find for years." Yoongi put into perspective. You softened your look and faced Yoongi. "These are the people who destroyed Namjoon's family. They killed his father and mother when he was a kid. After that he fell into hard times. Don't you think he, out of anyone, would want to find them just as badly as you?"
You sighed and nodded.
"I think you should apologize to the boys. I understand that this isn't an ideal situation for you either. But the boys and I really care about you. I know Namjoon and Seokjin hyung didn't mean to rile you up and start a fight. Namjoon was just worried, we all were."
You didn't let him take a breath before arguing, "But why? Why do you guys care so much? I don't get it."
Yoongi chuckled, "Well, even if you haven't been with us for that long yet, you've grown on us. You were just like us. You came into our lives exactly how each of us came into each other's lives. We've all come from rough pasts and I think you remind us of who we once were."
"W-What do you mean?" You asked slowly.
He sighed, "Hm, for starters, Namjoon grew up with you. He hasn't told us much but you were a little sister to him and even if you don't remember, you guys were close when you were young. He considers you the only person he has left from his real family. I mean of course we're all family here but your families were close enough to be blood related. And so any family of his is a family of ours."

"You said how I remind you guys of something? And that I came into your lives how you all came into each others' lives?"
He shook his head, "Aish, that's a longer story."
You shrugged, "I think we have a lot of time."
"Aish~," He pondered over it, "Okay, but you owe the boys an apology y'know?"
You nodded and urged him to go on.
"I already told you about Namjoon. He truly thinks of you as the younger sister he used to babysit and play with 12 years ago. I know he's only being this strict because of what happened all those years ago. He's just scared to lose you again, after all this time thinking you and your father were dead."
You were about to ask what exactly happened to Namjoon's family but Yoongi already continued on. You thought it be better to ask Namjoon yourself once you apologize to him.
"Well, after that whole incident, he met me. I was in a bad time of my life. Like I said, we all have our rough pasts. It was only my mom and I. I was the one who took care of her since she wasn't in a great place. She was depressed and committed suicide."
You could see his sad expression, "O-oppa, I'm so sorry." Your rubbed his shoulder for comfort and left it there as he continued.
"She killed herself in a fire, and I tried to follow her. I became depressed and lonely myself. But luckily, I had already met all of the boys. I drank too much alcohol and started a fire in my hotel room. I was prepared to die that day, I wanted to die that day. But the members found me. They dragged me out of the fire and took care of me. I recovered and despite the long process, I got better. I'm happy now. I have the boys to thank for that, they're my family."
You nodded, not thinking he would share so much information about himself.
"The rest of the boys have their own stories. None of us were born into this way of life. It's not my place to tell you their stories, they should be the ones to tell you themself. What I can tell you is why they're all here. That's because they found a family in Bangtan.
We all saved each other in a way.
Hobi. Jung Hoseok. He's a street racer. Also that's how Namjoon and I met him. He was very untrusting but Namjoon wanted him to race for Bangtan. Hoseok was very stubborn at first. He even left for a short period of time but our maknae cried and that's when Hoseok realized that he found a family with us."

"Then there's Kim Seokjin hyung. He created a name for himself, despite growing up alone. He never had a family so once Namjoon wanted to get closer, Seokjin was ecstatic. Namjoon just wanted a business partner for some of his business ventures but then they became closer."
"Oh and Kim Taehyung. He used to be an average kid with a family. But something happened and like Namjoon, he lost it all in a flash. He became a criminal for the crimes against his family. It's a closed case now anyways but when he was on the run, he tried to rob Namjoon. Namjoon saw the innocence in him and decided he should befriend him. However, unlike most of the boys, Taehyung had an easier time transitioning into gang life. He was very bubbly and kind've helped teach us what sibling relationships meant. Besides the family aspect again, Taehyung was a struggling kid like Namjoon once was."
"Park Jimin's story goes a lot further back. He was very sick as a kid from an incident that happened. It's a very touchy subject for him. No one visited him, no one really cared about him until we came along. We became friends through Jung Hoseok. We gave him a home."
"Then there's our maknae, Jeon Jungkook. He also had a troubling home life. He was a runaway. And like all the other boys, he found a living in gang life. He was the youngest of us all when he was exposed to such a dangerous way of life. He had been trying to join some petty street gang when they forced him into some stupid initiation. It was a suicide mission that involved stealing from RM of Bangtan. Of course he didn't succeed and once Namjoon saw him, he saw how young he was. He took pity on Jungkook and took him in."
"In all of our stories, we have all gone through rough pasts. I just summarized everything but these are their stories, MiSun-ah. You can ask them what they went through to get here because like you, they know how hard this life can be. They understand how drastically life can change.
When Namjoon took them in, a majority of us didn't even want anything to do with him. I tried to leave just like you. I didn't want Namjoon's help.
Jungkook? He tried to leave so many times. Taehyung actually got away once, but we found him a few hours later in a flower garden." You both laughed at that statement. You sniffled, tearing up from just imagining what those boys had to go through.
"It sounds like you're just kidnapping all of us." You said lightly. Yoongi rolled his eyes in frustration, "No, no, you're missing the point. Okay sure we took them but it's because we wanted to help them. And look at all of the boys now. We all just came from broken homes or dreadful situations. Family is important and showing others what that means is essential to living your best life." You nodded and sighed, knowing he had a point.
"Anyways like I said, you're just like us Misun-ah. You're going through a rough time right now and the boys and I are here for you. We were just like you, we didn't think any of this mattered and that we should be on our own or that you didn't ask for any of our help.
But too bad, you have our help. And we want to protect you because you've grown on us already and you remind us of something we lost.
MiSun-" He cut himself off because Yoongi was already crying. You had not expected him to cry and he didn't even look like a cryer, if you were being honest.
His sad expression and tears made you want to cry. You wrapped an arm around him and hugged him tight. Reluctantly, he returned it.
"This family means everything to me. And I spent this long talking about how much you mean to us. I spent this long talking about my brothers and their pain. They went through so much and I barely scratched the surface telling you what they've had to go through. I'm glad everything worked out the way it did and that I have 6 other brothers. But I can't let you make stupid mistakes either, so please don't do anything stupid like that again." He had contained some of his tears.
You were full on crying on his shoulder and he had a stream full of tears on his cheeks. You nodded and sniffled. Yoongi rubbed your back to soothe you, "I'm so sorry oppa. I didn't know, I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

The Legend of Rayola the Deathless [Dead]
[This story is Discontinued] Another story based on the lore, which has been expanded and with far more details and hopefully better writing shall be released later on. After about the tenth time she died, Rayola started to think, that maybe she didn't come out quite right, even by supernatural standards. Of course, the pale white skin and hair, plus the blazing orange eyes might have been a clue and it was getting harder and harder to blend in. To top it all off, she has no memory of who she is and there's an incredibly suspiscious, snarky voice in her head making quips about her life choices. Even worse was the inability to sleep. At first, she thought that maybe she was just an overly messed up zombie or even a vampire! But she was proven wrong time and time agian... there were too many inconsistencies and it made her uneasy. The final straw was the issue with her own identity. At first she was okay with being her own brand-new person, but as more and more ghosts of her past started to slowly catch up, she had no choice but to set off on a journey... A journey to discover who she once was, and to find out what had happened to her. It was for no noble cause but merely one for personal salvation. Yet, her actions left behind a legend in her wake.
