《Protected by BTS》Chapter 3: Man with the Tattoo

The man you were following was no idiot.
He could sense you as soon as he caught your eye. It wasn't that you were a bad tail, which you were. The man was just accustomed to these things. As you trailed behind him, he knew he had to shake you off of him. Standard procedures would be to figure out who you are and why you were following him.
After another 15 minutes of taking sharp turns and confusing roads that were familiar to him, you were relentless. He had finally decided to just take the next corner and hide behind the next alleyway to get a good look at you.
As he turned the corner, he climbed one of the fire escapes and hid behind a few boxes. It was way past sunset already and so the darkness of the night hid him well.
You followed him in and turned the corner to be met with a dead end and no man with the tattoo in sight. You were utterly frustrated and the man above you only observed as the light from the street lamppost brightened your face.. He took note of your appearance, your demeanor, and your actions.
You scolded yourself for losing your first potential clue. But if you couldn't find this man, maybe your best bet was to go back to the hotel and pick up some food on the way back.
The man hiding from you watched as you returned back the way you came from. He watched you leave in annoyance before you were completely out of sight. When he knew the coast was clear, he jumped off the fire escape and landed gracefully.
He dusted himself off and pulled out his phone. The man started a group call and after a few rings, everyone was on the call.
"RM? What's up?" Seokjin greeted.
"Coming back home soon?" Taehyung had asked like a little kid.
Namjoon chuckled at the man's childishness, "I was going to come back tonight actually but something doesn't feel right. I was followed just now. I was able to lose them but I don't know, guys. I have a bad feeling about this."

Jimin responded first, "It can't be a coincidence can it? It's the anniversary of-" He cut himself off not wanting to finish that sentence. "Well, it's no coincidence if you ask me."
"I know," Namjoon huffed and ran a hand through his hair. "I'm going to follow them as well. I think I need a talk with them and see what their deal is. I can handle this on my own but somethings not right here. How fast can you guys get here?"
"Suga hyung and I can be there tonight. We went to Daegu for the misplaced shipments so we're closer to Illsan than the others." Jungkook perked up.
"The rest of us will meet up with you tomorrow and we'll bring the train for transport if it comes to it." Seokjin said followed by the agreements of the other boys.
"Bring the train. I think we'll need it. And bring some sedatives, Suga. I want to talk to them without any interference. Thanks, see you boys soon." Namjoon ended the call. He walked out of the alleyway and this time, he was the one who followed you.
You had picked up some food on the way back to your hotel. Once back in your room, you finished all the food and was satisfied. While eating, you couldn't help but do a little research on the man with a tattoo.
You've never looked into the tattoo this man and your father shared. You wanted your father to explain its meaning to you, but right now that didn't matter. Right now, you had to figure out what the connection was.
You did some heavy research and found that this tattoo belonged to a notrious mobster. A mobster named RM who runs a crime syndicate called Bangtan.
Was this the guy that I followed?
Then a crazy wave of thoughts filled your brain. Mostly of them going completely ballistic at the fact you followed a mobster, a crime lord. Eventually, you calmed yourself down and was glad that nothing happened while following this RM guy.

Unfortunately there are no records of RM's actual information. He was just a name and a tattoo, that's all there was to him. That's all the information that government data bases, social media, and other distinguishable websites had. No one but fellow Bangtan members knew his real name. RM can only be distinguishable by a tattoo.
But new questions arose with the information about the tattoo. Your father had the same tattoo as one of the biggest mobsters in Korea.
What could all this mean? That definetely has to do with my father's kidnapping right?
You rubbed your eyes after taking off your glasses. A hot shower sounded nice in order for you to process your thoughts and take a break from all of this. Also, you definitely needed a shower and some new change of clothes — too bad that the backpack only had the laptop, your phone and a laptop charger, gun, and the rolls of money.
You started the shower and washed your clothes as well as your hair and body.
In the meantime, Namjoon had followed you all the way back to your hotel and Jungkook and Yoongi had met up with him.
You took your shower unknowing that 3 men were about to break into your room. Jungkook was able to open the door by picking the lock and the boys followed him in. They had weapons and the sedatives Yoongi brought at the ready as they scanned the whole area.
They had gone into the bedroom where you and your laptop were. They noticed you were in the shower because of the running water and the open laptop with a wide variety of information.
There was too much information that implicated your innocence for them. Yoongi saw all the files on Kim Namjoon and was shocked.
"You guys need to see this..." Yoongi whispered as he removed your glasses from the keyboard and scrolled through the various information you had compiled.
Jungkook and Namjoon's faces went pale.
"That's you hyung." Jungkook said his thoughts aloud. They were all worried and feeling more threatened because of this newfound information.
"How did this person get so much information on you? These are confidential documents that I thought didn't exist anymore?" Yoongi said awestruck.
"No one is supposed to know RM's real name! What's happening? How did they-" Jungkook said but stopped talking once they all heard your shower turn off.
Namjoon signaled them to spread out and be ready to attack. Jungkook took a position nearest to the bathroom, behind the door, Yoongi hid next to the bed, and Namjoon stayed close to the door of the bedroom.
After a few short minutes of drying off and brushing your hair, you walked out of the bathroom. Your clothes were still drying off from washing them in the shower but luckily enough you didn't wash your bra and underwear.
Obliviously, you walked out in your undergarments while running a hand through your wet hair. In the closet of the bedroom, you saw a complimentary robe which you wrapped around your naked body. That's when you saw the laptop in a slightly different position from when you left it. You had distinctly remembered putting your glasses on top of your laptop.
Your glasses were now on the table.
Before you could comprehend it, Jungkook was right behind you and wrapped his arm around your upper torso before pushing a syringe full of sedatives into your neck.
You yelped in surprise as your arm instinctively grabbed his forearms. He held your body down as you started losing feeling and consciousness.
Jungkook smirked, "Gotcha~"
