"Congrats bitch! I'm so happy for you!"
"I told you so Zoe! You ate the words you told me at the diner!"
"I knew you were the one for him the moment you punched him!"
I couldn't help but let out a laugh, taking in the wide eye and excited faces of Eliki, Delilah, Chica through the video call.
It's been a week since I said yes to Tyrone becoming my boyfriend and it's been the best week so far.
He's been a total sweetheart and although he still manages to piss the frick out of me and vice versa, I wouldn't change it for the world.
"Yeah, I mean at the time it was totally ridiculous for that to happe-"
"Opposites Attract Zoe! Haven't you read enough wattpad stories? You keep on ranting about them every single time!" Eliki interjected, making the three of us laugh.
"I know, I just can't wrap my head around it." I giggled, pulling the blankets up to my neck.
"Well you better get used to it because when Tyrone likes someone, girl you're in for a ride." Chica said, her face beaming.
Delilah waggled her brows."Looks like you need all the energy you can get Zoe." She jokes, all of us laughing.
I spent a whole hour talking to them before finally ending the call. It was around one in the afternoon and I made my way downstairs.
Peggy was on the couch watching a Netflix movie with grumpy sleeping soundly beside her."Don't you have a date later?" I teased, taking the seat next to her.
Peggy groaned, her cheeks heating up."Don't remind me, my nerves are going haywire."
I shook my head, leaning back against the couch."Oh hush, Just relax and be yourself." I told her, offering a small smile.
"Yeah, be your usual bitch self Peggy." Neo piped in, walking out of the kitchen with a banana.
Peggy threw him a pillow which he dodged and took a seat on the recliner one. He peeled the banana, biting harshly on it.
"I can't believe the both of you are going out for dates and here I am, still single as a pringle." He pouted, chewing the banana.
I snorted."I told you to ask her out but you wouldn't listen to me."
Peggy rolled her eyes, lowering the volume down."Yeah as if he'd grow the balls to ask her out. Moving up is coming in your way and yet you sit idly letting her slip through your hands."

Neo gasped, placing the banana peel on the table."Excuse me, you blatantly rejected the guy who confessed to you! That's enough to spark fear in me." He pointed out, Peggy glaring at him.
"I rejected him because I thought the fucking bullies were right, you idiot!" Peggy hissed, making Neo huff.
"Well, the possibility of rejection scares me." He states, letting out a yawn.
"Neo, if you let your fear control you then the girl of your dreams will slip through your fingers and regret it." I told him, narrowing my hazel-grey eyes at him.
"That's right love and you'll think of it for the rest of your life."
We all jumped in surprise when mom piped in and popped from the kitchen without us noticing which earned overrated reactions from us.
"Jesus mom! You scared me." Neo gasped, placing a hand on his chest.
Mom rolled her eyes before glancing down at the banana peel."Don't tell me Jack forgot to throw that in the trash again." She grumbled, her eyes turning into slits
We all glanced at one another in alarm, Neo straightened up in his seat and nodded eagerly. Peggy doing a facepalm while I bit my lip in amusement.
"Yes mom, Dad forgot to throw it again. He was just here a minute ago and even had the audacity to tell me to throw it away for him!" Neo lied, pointing at the stairs that led to the rooms.
Just like that Mom took the banana peel and came bounding through the stairs. Peggy leaned in and smacked Neo on the arm.
"Good luck with that! Dad would drag you with them to find the perfect Christmas tree." Peggy smirked, all the color draining on Neo's face.
Every year mom and Jack goes on a one day trip next town to find the perfect tree that we're gonna decorate with.
We all avoid going with them at all cost because it takes a whole day for mom to pick a tree and she usually gets the first one she saw in the end.
"Neo! You liar! You're coming with us!" Just like that, the two of us bursted laughing at Neo who quickly stood up and ran upstairs to hide in his room.
"Have fun lovebirds! Curfew is 11 PM. Bye!" I waved them off, somehow giggling inside at how smitten Jai looked when Peggy walked up to him.
I closed the door and walked up to the living room, Grumpy not looking up from the cartoon that we were watching.

It was currently six in the evening now, Neo called me up an hour ago that they'll be home tomorrow instead because apparently the place was closed due to the owner being sick and will be open tomorrow instead.
I couldn't help but let out a small laugh when I remember how Neo was groaning in annoyance at the PDA they were both apparently displaying.
Poor Neo, should've thought about before accusing Jack for that banana peel.
"What do you want for dinner Grumpy? You want me to cook pork chops? Although I hate frying." I asked, rubbing Grumpy's cute rolls.
My phone rang, making me jump slightly in surprise. I glanced at the caller ID and felt a smile grace my lips.
"Who's this?" I asked, trying not to laugh.
"Your boyfriend radish, stop acting like you don't know it's me." Tyrone grumbled, making me laugh.
"I was just kidding with you, why'd you call? Let me guess, you missed me so much?" I joked, hearing loud chatter in the background.
"Where are you? You know I miss you everyday radish." I could practically imagine him rolling his eyes.
Tyrone left two days ago to visit his grandparents and spent some bonding time there. They wouldn't be back until next week which totally sucks.
But family is family and we should totally take a day off once in a while to bond with them. Besides, I'll probably piss Tyrone off so hard that he'll consider breaking up with me.
Yeah, I have to let him miss my annoying self sometimes and give him time to recuperate his patience.
We all know he's lacking in that department.
"I'm at home, watching cartoons with Grumpy here. I miss you too carrot. How are things there?" I asked, bringing my feet up on the couch.
I could hear the voices going faint and I'm guessing that he moved to a more secluded area."Five percent of me is having fun while the rest wants to go home. You haven't eaten dinner yet radish?"
I bit my lip, seems like things were still not okay between his dad."I haven't, It's only grumpy and I here. Peggy went on a date and the rest went next town to find a christmas tree."
A long pause."What? You're alone? Did you lock the doors radish? Please, make sure to check your windows and back door." He said, concern lacing in his tone.
I smiled, running a hand on my hair."Don't worry, I'm perfectly capable of protecting myself carrot. I have to wait for Peggy to come home but don't worry, I'll do a double check on the locks with her before going to sleep." I assured him.
He sighed."Please do, you know they haven't been caught yet." Tyrone muttered, making my heart rate spike up slightly.
"Don't worry radish, they can't hide forever. They'll be brought to the stations soon." I said, trying not to sound so sure.
"I hope so, Aron deserves to rot in prison for what he did to you." He spat, his disdain and hatred clear.
I gulped, tightening my hold on the phone."Calm down carrot, you might throw your phone in blind anger." I joked, trying to ease the tension.
That completely drains my plan on making them do a talk out of the window. I've been thinking that I wanted the both of them to talk their issues out first before we finally bring Aron to the station.
I was hoping that by this way it would ease the pain and anger that nestled in Tyrone's heart. We've been talking about what activities we'll do and Tyrone promised that we'll try one once he gets back.
Deep down, I was hoping that they'll reconcile. There's so much anger and hate going on in the world that I just want to stop the cycle, even if it's only one out of a million going through the same.
"I am calm beautiful. Well, I better get back in or else Grandma would have my ear. Send me a message before going to sleep okay? Stay safe radish. I'll see you soon." He said, I returned his goodbyes before ending the call.
His words from earlier weighed me down and the familiar guilt crawled up to me. I had no other choice but to give Aron a chance though.
I know he can't say it to my face but this is his way of redeeming himself from the hate that he managed to grow towards Tyrone.
If he was going down, he wanted to settle things with his ex-bestfriend before he falls and that's something I want to help him with.
Everyone's misguided and sometimes we just have to take the risk and try to help them lead back to the path that they managed to stray on.

Berodyl stood ready to aid the gods in their strife, but when the time came, the armies of this world never heard the call. They never even saw the battlefield. Alas, they soon found themselves stranded in a land abandoned— now, too, abandoned themselves.
