"This is all your fault! Why didn't you check your fucking shoelaces before the activity started?" I angrily asked, wiping the sponge on the plate harshly.

"Radish, it was you who had the untied shoelaces." Tyrone deadpanned, rinsing the suds from the spoons.

"You had your shoelaces untied too!" I protested, handing the plate to him.

"It was because I had to redo it and that was after the activity." He corrected, placing the spoons to the container.

Tyrone had a point but I'm not gonna tell him that. Besides, we were partners! We didn't just lose because of my untied shoelaces and me falling on the ground a few times with Tyrone, it was far from that.

"Well, if you weren't running like a cheetah and actually considered the fact that I had cat legs then maybe we would've won." I grumbled, rinsing my hands from the soap.

I made my way to his other side, taking the towel and wiping off the excess water before placing it on the dry container.

Tyrone rolled his eyes."It isn't my fault that you lack growth hormones radish." I gasped, turning to him with a glare.

"You did not just go there! It's not may fault that you overdosed on growth hormones! I'm 5'6!" I shot back, tempted to fill the glass of water and throw it at his face.

"And I'm 6'3, that's a normal height." He answered, amusement swimming in his orbs.

I crossed my arms."It's fucking not carrot." I snapped, my annoyance spiking up.

Tyrone sighed."Look, it doesn't matter if we lost, the fact that you were laughing your ass off and enjoyed the activity is enough for me."

I rolled my eyes."Yeah coming from the guy who said 'if we lose because of your attitude radish, you wouldn't like my consequences.'" I mocked in a deep voice, his lips pulling up in a scowl.

"You're fucking annoying me." He grumbled, washing the last plate.

"And you're a big shit." I retorted, wiping the plate and neatly stacking them up.

We both ignored each other, finishing up in the kitchen. I wasn't mad that we lost, washing the dishes is therapeutic.

It just pissed me off that we couldn't eat dessert after dinner and everyone had a taste of that moist chocolate cake that looked heavenly.

Apparently Mr. John forgot to add that part earlier and imagine my pissed off expression when he said that.

Despite losing and not being able to eat dessert, I somehow felt lucky that Tyrone was my chosen partner.

Our friendship didn't start off in an easy road but we've been through a lot and despite his usual blank expression, beneath it I knew he was more than that.

I felt lucky that I've been one of the people who managed to become his friend. Although deep down, I know I see him more than a friend.

"Are you guys done?" I jumped in surprise at the voice of Mr. John.

We both turned to him but Tyrone didn't reply."Yes, almost sir." I answered instead, throwing a slight glare to carrot.

Mr. John had an amused expression on his face."I hope you both aren't fighting. I was slightly disappointed to see you both come up in the last place."

At his words, I felt my teeth grit against one another."Don't worry sir, tomorrow's another day and I assure you, we will win." Faking a laugh.

He nodded eagerly."I'm looking forward to it then. Well, you both should hurry, there's a small bonfire party near the lake. You should go, the curfew isn't until 10 in the evening."

I gave him a polite smile."We will sir, have a goodnight!" He bid us his goodbyes before walking out of the kitchen.

"Are you done? We should go, I want to go watch the bonfire." I excitedly said, my annoyance from earlier melting like snow.

We made sure that everything was set and clean in the kitchen before making our way back to the cabins. I couldn't help but admire the stars that shined brightly against the darkened sky.

The wind gently nipped against my skin and I could feel my heart spike up due to the constant brushing of our shoulders.

"I'm sorry for putting the blame on you carrot, I was just mad that we didn't get to eat dessert." I said, glancing at him briefly.

"It's okay radish, I know you love your sweets." He smiled, his teeth peeking out."You aren't annoying me, I lied when I said that."

I let out a small giggle at that."Well, I wasn't lying when I told said you were a big shit but you're a good big shit if that makes sense." I quickly looked away, feeling my cheeks heat up when I saw how he stared intensely at me.

A small comfortable silence greeted us, hearing the chirps of nocturnal insects somehow made my feel relaxed.

We quickly climbed on the small set of stairs of the front porch when I realized Sam was sitting on one of the wooden chairs.

He looked up from his phone, a smile gracing his features at the sight of us."Hi guys, are you done with the dishes?" He asks.

Tyrone didn't reply and entered the the cabin without returning his greeting. I sighed, he was back to his usual grumpy self.

"Yes, where's Eliki?" I took a seat on the vacant spot next to him.

"She's already at the bonfire party." He replied, brushing a hand on his blonde hair.

I nodded."What are you doing here then? I'd figured you'd be there with here already." I asked, leaning back in my seat.

Sam gave me a shy smile."Well, I wanted to wait for you and ask if you wanted to join us." He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

My eyes widened slightly at his words. Is he making a move on me? or he's just being a friendly guy?

"Oh, well, thank you for waiting." I smiled, pushing my braids back."I'd gladly join you guys but you should go ahead, I have to take a shower first." I stood up, gesturing towards the door.

The smile on lips face widened."Okay, well, take your time Zoe. I'll see you there." He bid me a goodbye before walking off the porch.

At his departure, I felt the smile drop on my face. It somehow didn't settle well with me that he hadn't thought of inviting Tyrone. I mean, we're all sleeping in the same cabin.

I quickly entered the room, feeling myself pause when I caught sight of a half-naked Tyrone laying on his bed playing with grumpy who sat on his naked torso.

At that moment, I couldn't help but wish that I was grumpy instead. Shit, the things I would do if given the chance to touch those goodies.

"Hey, I'm going to the bonfire party. You wanna come?" I asked, making my way towards the cabinet.

"No thanks." He coldly answer, not looking my way.

I frowned at his sudden attitude."Are you sure? It's gonna be fun and maybe, they'll make S'mores."

I chose a decent outfit, slung the towel on my shoulder and made my way in-front of him. My body shielding him against the light.

Tyrone continued playing with grumpy but from the way his jaw clenched tighter, I knew he heard what I just said. Annoyance spiked in me and I couldn't help but grit my teeth.

What the hell stuck up his butt and deteriorate? Did something happen while I was gone?

"Is everything okay?" I gritted out, toning down the annoyance in my voice.

This time Tyrone turned to me with a mocking smile."Everything's fucking awesome radish. Go shower, you smell." He turned his attention back to grumpy, ignoring me.

Just like that the urge to strangle him was back and my anger from earlier came knocking on my doorstep.

I threw him a glare, stomping my way into the bathroom. I resisted the urge to bang the door and stripped off my clothes.

Making sure my braid wouldn't get wet, I took a good shower and made sure to lather the suds on my armpits and my feet.

The fuck was he talking about that I smelled?

I took a sniff of my clothes from earlier and although they had a distinct smell of sweat, it wasn't overpowering and you could still smell the fabric conditioner that I used.

Whatever happened while I was gone seriously fucked his mood up and I wasn't even gone for that long!

I quickly changed into a blank tank top that I tucked into my high waisted shorts, wearing a loose and long sleeve plaid shirt over it to keep away the cold.

Glancing at the small mirror, my face had a red tinge to my cheeks and it was probably from being out in the sun the whole morning and afternoon.

I walked out of the bathroom, pulling the hair tie from my braids and gently combing my fingers through my hair that was now in a loose curls.

I couldn't help but mentally 'aw' the sight of Grumpy resting on Tyrone's chest, his cute head resting on his front paws and laid flat on his stomach.

Were they always like this when their at his house? I couldn't help but grow piss that Tyrone keeps hogging him from me.

Tyrone didn't glance up when I walked to my side, I folded my dirty laundry and placed it into my duffle bag.

I made my way towards the cabinet and placed my duffel bag but not before taking my chapstick.

"I'm bringing Grumpy with me." I announced, swiping some chapstick on my lips while I turned to Tyrone.

This was a perfect opportunity for him to make friends with the other puppy, I noticed earlier that he was the only one sleeping in the corner while the other puppies were playing.

Penny kept trying play with him but he would just sit and stare at her like becoming friends is the last thing he'll be doing.

My heart ached at the thought that maybe he was used to being alone at the dog pound that he didn't know how to make friends.

"No." He replied, not tearing his eyes away from the screen of his phone.

"Excuse me? I wasn't asking." I snapped, placing the cap back on my chapstick.

Tyrone rolled his eyes, my temper rising at this."Even if you were, its still a no." He said, his voice firm.

I threw the chapstick on my bag hastily, crossing my arms."And why wouldn't you let him go with me? I'm his mom!" I snapped, throwing daggers at him.

Tyrone scowl."I'm his dad and I'm the one in charge of making sure he is fucking safe."

Grumpy stirred in his rest, opening his eyes and glanced at the two us. He hopped out of Tyrone's chest and into the mattress, sitting there with his back on the wall.

"Are you implying that I can't keep him safe? Is that why you refuse to let him go with me?" I angrily said, closing the cabinets harshly.

Tyrone stood up from his bed, his glares meeting with mine."Yes, you lack of focus and might get distracted with some jackass and forget's he's even there." He snapped, making his way towards me.

The fury that entered my system was unexplainable that I could feel myself start to shake.

"If you knew that then why the fuck aren't you going with us? I'm your fucking wife, its your job to protect the both of us!" I shot back, fisting my hands tightly.

Tyrone took a step closer to me and in return, I took one back. I felt the cabinet handle dig slightly into my back indicating that I had nowhere to go.

"Wives are supposed to stay with their husband not with someone's else husband." He growled, making me angrier even more.

What the fuck is he on about? Is he talking about Sam? This idiot isn't even making sense!

I threw my hands up in frustration."You know what? Just give me my puppy and we'll fucking go." My lips in an angry line and my patience running thin.

Tyrone didn't answer and stared at me, his dark orbs staring straight into my angry ones. Despite his fury, he still look undeniably hot and that pissed me off even more.

"Give me my puppy!" I demanded, my eyes ablazed with fiery anger.

Why the frickle does he keep acting like he can't hear me? I don't even understand why the hell we were fighting now!

One minute, he's so fucking sweet and the next he's like a raging dragon blowing his anger at me like fire.

"Correction, it's not your puppy. It's our puppy," He smiled, but it was anything sweet nor happy.

My anger was reaching its limit and I knew if this continued on further then my tears would be making its way known.

"You know what? Damn you! You're nothing but a cold, emotionless, and heartless bad boy!" I sneered, glaring at him fiercely.

Tyrone chuckled at my words before finally closing the distance between us. He slammed his hand unto the wall, trapping me, before leaning in close.

I felt my anger falter slightly, my heart beating faster than usual at our sudden close proximity. It didn't help the fact that I could feel his warmth through my thin clothing.

"You got that right sweetheart but I think you got one thing wrong." He stated, his eyes piercing straight into mine.

"And what is that?" I managed to asked, my throat seeming to get drier the longer he stared at me with those dark beautiful eyes of his.

"I'm neither one of those when I'm with you," and with those words, slammed his lips into mine.
