《The Puppy Project》30| The Talk

Tyrone's P.O.V
"What did you want to talk about?" I asked, leaning against the wall.
The backyard was your typical lawn with a big pool. A few jocks were playing beer pong along with a couples who were taking a night swim.
A few drunk students were sprawled on the ground while some were talking animatedly from each other under the palm trees that strewn across the backyard.
I crossed my arms infront of Jane, my expression blank. We were at the corner where the bathrooms were located and was away from prying eyes.
"I'm aware that you know I have feelings for you right?" She asked, her eyes meeting with mine.
I nodded in answer. Ever since I stepped foot in school, Jane has shown her attraction to me and made it known to other girls that I was off limits.
It didn't bother me much not because I liked her too but because girls stay away from me.
And you all know how I hate talking to people who are outside my group.
Jane only verbally confessed her feelings last year to me but she didn't try to sleep with me and instead walked away after that.
"I know it's abit early to ask you but I was wondering if you'd like to be my date for the winter prom?" She confidently asked, a smile on her lips.
"I'm sorry Jane but I can't go with you. I've already chosen a date." I replied, frowning at the obvious hurt that flashed in her eyes before it was gone.
The smiled that graced her lips didn't leave her fave and instead, she nodded thoughtfully before looking at me.
"I could assume that you like that person as well?"
I didn't need to voice out my response because she could tell from the way a fleeting smile graced my lips upon thinking a certain red head.
She nodded once again and sighed, closing her eyes for a few moments.
"It hurts like a bitch and its funny because people know me as a bitch." She laughed at her own words, making me sigh.
"Just because you're a bitch doesn't mean you are less of a human Jane. I know you like me, you made that very obvious from the beginning. I'm not gonna apologize that I don't like you because it clearly shows that we aren't meant to be together. I'm not blind, I know that there's a feud going on between you and my girl but what's there to fight when I was never yours in the first place?" I started off, my words were harsh but I didn't say it to hurt her.
Jane eyes widened at my words. Taken aback that I spoke a full on paragraph with her and not just a short response.
She wore an embarrassed expression,"I'm sorry Tyrone." She said softly, her eyes cast down.
"It's not okay Jane but considering we all are just human, I understand. I'm just one guy out of a billion people out there. I'm sure that the big guy up there wouldn't leave a girl like you all alone. You'll meet him, maybe not now but you would." I encouraged, offering her a half smile.

Fuck.
Where the fuck did my mask go?
Before I knew it, she pulled me in for hug. I didn't bother hugging her back and after a few seconds she pulled away with a genuine smile on her lips.
"You don't know how much your words mean to me. Thank you Tyrone." She beamed, before turning to look at something or rather someone.
I turned around just in time to see a glimpse of certain red head walking off. I felt my heart drop at the thought of her seeing us in a hug.
Fuck.
She must've thought something was going on between us.
I gave a parting nod at Jane and was steps away from her when she called me again. I turned to looked at her, my eyes meeting with hers.
"Whatever your past is Tyrone, please don't let it cloud your chance of finding happiness. She's good for you and you better treat her right because I'll come for you if you don't." She gave me a glare of her own in the end.
This time, I couldn't stop the genuine smile that flitted on my lips.
"You're a good person Jane and I do truly hope you'll find the person who'll see it in you."
The party was full on swinging when I managed to get back inside. A few drunk couples were making out in the corner and drunks screams can be heard as there were a few jocks who were doing some tequila shots on a girl.
When I went back to the kitchen, Chica was looking at me furiously and Eliki, shit, she looks like she wanna bury me alive. Jax had an alarmed expression on his face but that's not what bothered me, it was a certain redhead missing.
"Where's Zoe?" I asked, clearing my throat when Chica only glared at me.
"She went out to get some air," Jax was the one who answered.
"What? You let her go alone?" I asked and not bothering to wait for a reply, walked off.
It took me ten minutes to find her. She was outside, leaning unto one of the palm trees that somehow made her hidden, gazing at the star-filled sky with her hands behind her back.
She hasn't seen me yet because her back was facing me and this time, I gave into the temptation to check out her halloween custome.
It was clear that a certain irish female had an influence on her choice of outfit and I mentally thanked Chica for it.
Although she wasn't showing off too much skin, just on her legs and accentuated curves from her belt, it still didn't stop my blood from rushing down south. She was freaking gorgeous and even if she wore a sack, my opinion towards her wouldn't change.
I didn't waste a second and padded my way to her side. Her gaze didn't stray away from the sky but I could tell that she knew I was here from the way her shoulders stiffened.
"Are you okay?" I asked, looking up at the sky but like a magnet, my gaze went back to her gorgeous face.

Silence.
"Look radish, what you saw earlier wasn't what you think it looked like or ho-" Two arms wound itself on my waist and a gentle weight rested on my chest.
"You don't have to explain carrot. We aren't together or anything." She mumbled, nuzzling her head on my chest.
I wrapped my arms around her curvy frame and rested my chin on her head. I felt a small sigh leave my lips as the feeling of protectiveness entered my body.
"I'm telling you because I want to." I retorted, hugging her tighter.
Yeah and because you freaking like her and don't wanna ruin any chances with her, buddy, the subconscious said.
She pulled back with a giggle,"It's not my business Ty, really. Besides, if you've wanted her then you wouldn't be standing here with me right now." She confidently replied, a smirk adorning her tainted lips.
Fuck, she's still high.
"Are you insinuating that I want you?" I couldn't stop the words that left my mouth.
"I'm not carrot. Besides, I'm not that special. I'm just me." She scoffed at her words.
Nope, I ain't letting my girl think something negative about herself.
"Being you is what makes you special radish," I murmured, my eyes meeting hers.
Instead of blushing and looking away like she would usually do, she met my gaze with a look I couldn't decipher before a full- blown smile graced her lips.
I felt my breath caught up for a second. She was devastatingly beautiful and fuck, I really wanted her to be mine.
I didn't want to assume anything though. Ever since I told her I cared for her, she pulled a freaking plot twist on me and started to hyperventilate.
Who does that?
The chances of me knowing if she felt the same went down the drain.
"You know, you aren't that cold-hearted than you make yourself seem to be." She said, the smile still on her face.
"Only with you radish," I offered her a shy smile, bringing my hand up to cup one of her cheek gently.
She let out a soft sigh,"I thought you were mad at me." She confessed, a pout settling on her lips.
My eyes drifted to gaze at it, the urge to kiss her suddenly entered my system like a fucking drug. I clenched my jaw before hastily pulling away from her.
"I-I wasn't mad." I stammered out, taking a step back away from her.
She opened her eyes at my sudden action, the adorable pout gone. Instead, a frown nestled its way into her face, gazing at me with an expression I fucking sadly can't read.
"Then why did you ignore me earlier? I mean, I know we aren't that close as a friends yet and we're just star-" She abruptly stop her rant, the touch of my pointer finger shushed her completely.
"I wasn't ignoring you," Mentiroso,"I was just not in the mood earlier." I continued, not wanting to tell her the truth.
(Mentiroso: Liar)
She glared at me, abruptly taking a hold of my pointer finger and pulled it away from her soft lips.
"Don't fucking lie to me Tyrone. I can tell when you lie," She scowled, tightening her grip on my fingers earning an alarmed look from me.
Por qué demonios su ira la hace diez veces más ardiente?!
(Why the hell does her anger makes her ten times hotter?"
"Now stop being a fucking wuss and tell me the truth." She demanded, her glare intensifying.
Fuck it.
I didn't waste a second and pulled her body flush to me. She let out a sharp gasp and this time, a smirk graced into my features because I knew she felt it.
"That's fucking why Zoe. Don't ever blame yourself from my asshole-ness. The things that you do to me, it's fucking out of this world," I stated, my eyes not swaying from hers.
She looked dazed for a moment, her hazel-grey eyes made a certain part of me twitch. One blink and it was all gone, a glare was now replaced before she pulled herself away from me.
"That's you're fucking reason? Oh hell no, It's not my fault that you freaking can't stop it from-from being like that!" She sputtered out, bring her hands up high.
I couldn't stop the laughter that bubbled out of me. One minute she was a tigress, the next she was a fucking kitten.
"Oh, you think this is funny?" Before I knew she pulled my head in for a headlock and tried to tickle me with her free hand.
I chuckled at her antics before I simply wrapped my arms around her waist and stood up from my bended state, carrying her over my shoulder like a potato sack.
She let out a few words of protest before I slapped her cute ass, cutting off all her words. I felt a smirk form on my lips and carried her towards my car, a few people glancing at us.
"Can you stop being moody carrot? It's not easy keeping up with you. You're like a kardashian." She grumbled, crossing her arms in defeat.
I shook my head at her words, amusement lacing in my system.
"Whatever your past is Tyrone, please don't let it cloud your chance of finding happiness. She's good for you and you better treat her right because I'll come for you if you don't."
"I wouldn't even dare," I muttered, a ghost of smile on my lips.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...
