《The Puppy Project》28| The Realization

It's confirmed.

I fucking like Tyrone Adler.

How the fucking fiddlesticks did this happen? I was supposed to only know him and work with him in the project, not fucking fall for him!

Don't fudging ask me, ask your freaking heart!

I glared at a random spot in my desk in complete annoyance at my subconscious's comment.

"Ginger, you're mind is flying as high as the clouds since you arrived. Are you okay?" Eliki's worried voice brought me out of my torment.

The physics teacher was busily talking about finding the vectors and here I was wondering the hell how I somehow managed to fall for a certain badboy.

I didn't even bat an eyelid as I raised my hand in the air and asked permission to go the bathroom.

After entering the bathroom, I made sure to check all the stalls were vacant and waited a few minutes for Eliki to arrive.

"Shit, this is a serious level of girl talk for you to raise your hand and go to the bathroom because we both know you would have responded in a typical 'i'll tell you about it later' so spill the sizzling tea," She said, crossing her arms across her chest.

"I like him," I simply replied but she could tell from my expression it was anything but that simple.

Feelings with Tyrone Adler, a badboy who has trust issues and has mood swings far worse than a hungry baby could lead to a big complication.

He did tell me that he care but the real question is was it a type of care that leads to a brother/sister zone or that type of care-care that leads to him and me becoming a thing?

And what does it mean when he's doing exactly what I'm doing to him? I'm not even doing anything to him at all!

Fuck and here goes the overthinking thoughts.

Eliki snapped her fingers infront of me,"You're floating again and why the hell are looking like you carried the whole world's problem on your shoulder? You freaking like Tyrone Adler so what?" Eliki shrugged, a confused expression on her face.

That was what I liked about Eliki, she didn't dare 'baby' me from the harsh realities or decision-making that I was stuck in.

"I-you know I can't," I let out softly, my mind going haywire.

Feelings? They're just gonna fuck us both.

Eliki slapped my cheek lightly,"Ginger, fucking stop overthinking. He's not gonna do something that would cause you pain. You and I know that he's not that type of person. Yes, he technically didn't confess his feelings-ehem yet but trust me when I tell you that I see the way he looks at you and it isn't a friendly gaze either." She commented, her gaze directly on mine.

I blushed at her words,"I-fuck, how did this fucking happen Eli? One minute I wanted to be his friend and the next I'm fucking falling for him with no idea wether he's willing to catch me," I cursed out.

She rolled her eyes,"Life usually gives the opposite of what you want to achieve so don't even be surprised. Life is a freaking jack in the box, you don't freaking know what surprise it'll show you." She replied, and at that moment I couldn't help but feel immense joy to have a friend like her.

I sighed before pulling her in for hug, taking a deep breath and letting her vanilla scent comfort me.

She rubbed her hand on my back gently and pushed some of my hair away from my face before I pulled back slightly with a frown.

"I'm just scared you know? When feelings are involve you know how it can mess things up and feelings aside, I treasure my friendship with him. He's a genuine guy and a rare gem at that," I said, the thought of going back to square one with him makes my heart clench in a painful way.

She smiled,"Babe, anything you do can mess things up. It'll happen one way or another, you just have to take a huge leap at that,"

"I'm betting on my nonexistent left nut that you finally realized you like him?"

I felt my mouth drop, Chica Monroe gave me a look that was full of excitement and mishief.

Eliki acted as if she didn't hear her words and continue munching on her cheetos whilst playing a game on her phone.

"P-Fuck no," I shook my head, cursing myself when I felt the blood rush to my cheeks.

She rolled her eyes,"Don't worry your secret is safe with me and stop fucking acting innocent Lili and give me my twenty bucks." She retorted, earning a pout from Eliki.

I raised my brows, Lili? Since when did Chica gave Eliki a nickname? Wait.

"You did a bet on us?" I grimaced, my eyes darting across the wide canteen.

The laughter can be heard all around us. The populars were sitting a few feet away from our table and occasionally questioning glances were thrown in our way.

I mean, I would've too if there was suddenly two newcomers sitting on Chica's exclusive table.

Chica despite being popular, didn't dare turn her backs to her two friends. She sat with them since freshman year even when the jocks or her co-cheerleaders were begging her to sit at their table.

"Yes," She replied, taking a bite out of her pepperoni pizza.

I sighed,"Fine, you caught me. I'm trusting you to not tattletale me." I said, taking a sip of my orange juice.

Jax and Tyrone were nowhere to be seen and I mentally thank G for that because I wasn't physically and mentally prepared to see him, yet.

Give me a few more minutes.

Eliki smirked at my words and glanced at my orange juice before giggling. Chica seemed to caught on before following suit which left me confused.

I stared at the orange juice for a few seconds before I realized what they were laughing about.

"Ho Ho Ho, very funny guys. I wouldn't pull a Tyrone stunt with you Chi," I retort, still a smile graced my lips at the memory.

Chica grinned,"I know Z, you'd rather punch me," She joked, placing her pizza back unto her plate.

I shook my head in amusement and Eliki laughed. The sound of heels clicking cut us off in our conversation.

I felt the expression on my face drop when I saw Jane making her way towards our table, two of her minions following behind her.

Chica and Eliki both noticed the newcomer and Eliki's lip formed into a thin line while Chica straightened up in her seat.

"Will you look at that? Two wannabes sitting with someone on the higher chain. Chica? I adored your loyalty towards Jax and TyTy but this? Haha, what a joke," Jane spat, her lips in a disgusting sneer.

Chica rolled her eyes,"Back the fuck up Jade. Nobody wants to listen to the shit the comes out of your lip-injected lips." She simply said, taking another bite of her pizza.

"It's Jane," She smiled but I could almost hear her molars grinding together.

Chica continued to chew and looked at her boredly,"Do I look like I care? Piss off," She replied boredly.

Jane looked like she wanted to slap Chica but instead took a step back, faking yet another smile on her lips.

"Before that, I just wanted to invite you to my halloween party later Chica and since I don't want to embarass your new friends you could gladly take them as well." She smirked, a gleam on her eyes.

There was a taunt on her voice, daring us to turn down her offer. Chica gave me a glance and seemed to caught on before she smiled sweetly at her.

"Then expect us there, sadly though, Tyrone and Jax couldn't come because of their errands." She pouted, a wicked gleam on her face.

Jane's smile faltered for a bit at her words gotcha before she smiled even wider and flip her hair.

"Tyty does do many errands and as for Jax, sadly some of the girls on the dance crew would be disappointed but oh well, life doesn't go the way we want."

At the mention of Jax's name, Chica tensed in her seat and a scowled settled on her lips.

"Do you think you could give me his number? I'd really want to ta-" One of Jane's minion asked, a wide grin on her fuschia lips.

Elikie mouthed an 'oh shit' at me as Chica stood up from her seat and took a step towards Jane and her croonies.

The cafeteria seemed to quieten down and notice the commotion happening.

"What did you say?" Chica asked, her tone icy cold.

The idiot once again flip her hair,"I sai-" She didn't even finish her sentence when Chica almost threw a punch at her face, stopping a few inches away.

"Don't even think about him nor speak to him, even fucking look. He doesn't need girls like you and if I ever find out that one of you went against what I said," She took a threatening step towards her.

"There'd be hell to pay," She promised, a lethal look on her face.

The cafeteria went completely silent. Jane looked like she's seen a ghost and her two minions were seconds in peeing their pants.

The sound of the cafeteria doors opening caught our attention.

Jax was the first to stroll in, a wide grin on his face. His curls were in a man bun and wore a black skinny jeans and a loose shirt with his converse.

The sight of a blank face Tyrone emerging from behind him made me gulp and my heart beat erratically.

He wore a black skinny jeans, paired it with black shirt that says 'what are you looking at?' with his typical bad boy leather jacket and adidas. Let's not forget his lip ring that made the girls in the room look at him in complete awe.

Jax made eye contact with me and his smile dropped when he seemed to notice the fuming Chica that stood a few meters away from him.

Everyone was silent as they made their towards us.

"Is everything okay? Chica?" Jax frowned, taking a hold of her arm.

"Everything's fine," She gritted out, still glaring at the girl.

"Everything's dandy. By the way, I invited Chica and your friends to my party tonight and they already agreed. How about you guys?" Jane asked, but she didn't dare mention Jax's name or even look at him.

What a conniving little snake.

I couldn't stop the glare that I gave her, my lips in thin line.

I gritted my teeth when Tyrone responded with a nod of his head before making his way towards me.

"Sure," Jax responded, which seemed to make Chica angrier.

Jane flashed us an award winning smile,"I'll see you in your customes. Toodles," She eyed me with mishief before turning around to walk away.

I fisted my hands, stopping myself from going up to her and smacking her on the fa-

Wait.

Am I jealous?

"You fucking idiot!" Chica hissed once they were back at their table.

The cafeteria went back to its usual rowdy state. Jax sat next to Chica who was on my left while Eliki was next to me. Tyrone was about to take the seat infront of me when Eli stopped him.

"You can seat here," She simply said, without another word took the chair away from Ty's grasp and sat on it.

I narrowed my eyes at her in annoyance while she grinned cheekily at me.

Tyrone plopped down next to me, his shoulder brushing softly against mine.

"Wha-what did I do?" Jax replied, his frown still intact.

Chica glared at him for a few seconds before sighing. She closed her eyes for a few minutes before shaking her head and looking back at Jax.

"Nevermind J," Chica offered him a weak smile before looking at her watch.

I felt my heart ache for her, sadden at the fact that Jax couldn't see how much Chica likes him.

"I gotta go. I forgot to pass my homework. I'll see you guys later," She gave Jax a kiss on the cheek

She only gave a small wave of goodbye to Eliki, Tyrone and I before snatching her bag from her seat and walking away.

Leaving a completely confused Jax, a pissed of me, an expressionless Tyrone, and an amused Eliki.
