《Daddy's Girl || Bakugou x Pregnant! Reader》11 | dream a little dream of me

"You're so small!," you gush.
You held Kasumi up by her arm pits as you held the back the of her head with your fingers.
"You made mommy's belly so big but you only weigh 8 pounds! How does that work?!"
She started to fuss so you giggled and set her back down on the baby cushion on the living room couch.
"Dad should be home soon, you can bare to hang out with me for a bit longer. Mommy needs food too ya know."
Katsuki opened the door and kicked his shoes off to find you lying on your side playing with Katsumi's fingers.
"How are my girls?," he asks setting the food down in the kitchen.
"We're fine, right Sumi? Hopefully she'll let me eat before I need to feed her again."
"If she does I'll just give her a bottle. You put some milk in the fridge last night didn't ya?"
"Yeah I did. There should be about 8 ounces but remember she only needs about 4-6 right now. Just pour the rest in another bag."
"Yeah yeah I know woman," he groaned as he picked Kasumi up and held her on his shoulder. "Go on eat. Alright little firecracker, are you hungry?"
Kasumis mouth opened and closed as if she was looking for something to latch on.
He set her down in her rocker while he got the bottle ready. You couldn't help but swoon at how gentle Katsuki was with her. He was gentle with you when you were pregnant, but seeing him hold her like she's glass makes your heart swell.
"So... when do you have to go back to work?," you asked shoving a bite of rice in your mouth.
"Dumbasses are only giving me three weeks. I don't wanna leave you guys," he pouted.

"Aw looks like I have two babies now," you joked at him earning a small crimson glare.
"Shame on me for wanting to be with my wife and our baby."
"Trust me I'd love for you to stay, but if you gotta go you gotta go."
Katsuki sat on the couch and fed her the bottle while you finished eating. When he wasn't looking you quickly snapped a pic on your phone. You got up when he finished burping her to take her from him.
"Time for a bath huh Sumi?" You sniffed her belly and made a fake gagging noise. "Oh no! You got your daddy's stinkiness too!"
"I don't fucking stink!," Katsuki yelled as you walked down the hallway. He'd never admit it, but he did sniff himself after.
You fell on to the bed with a sigh, "She's finally asleep... which gives me three hours to sleep. Goodnight love." Tucking yourself under the covers, Katsuki pulls you tight against him.
"You're doing a real good job mama," he breathed into your hair before you both fell asleep.
As if one cue a few hours later, Katsumi's shrill little cry was ringing throughout the house. Bakugou attempted to get up but you were already on your feet and out the door.
Her little face was dark red with shiny cheeks from her tears. Another thing she got from Katsuki; she was very loud. Teary red eyes stared up at you as she continued to cry.
You leaned over the edge of her crib and scooped her up. "You sure are upset aren't you baby?," you whispered into her skin. "Cmon let's go in the living room."
Soft cries soon turned to gentle whimpers. You leaned over to turn on the record player to low volume. Your mother gave you some old vinyls she used to play for you when you were younger.

The gentle sound of music started to play, you nestled into the couch with Sumi on your chest. You lifted your shirt enough to get her to latch to see if she was hungry, but she just kept moving her head away. Not hungry; next check diaper. You unbuttoned her onesie to check her diaper and noticed it was still dry.
"Were you just lonely my baby?," you asked as you let her lie on her tummy on your chest. She snuggled into your warmth while you rubbed her back.
You started quietly sing along to the song playing through the speakers. It was dream a little dream of me by the mamas and the papas. You couldn't help the smile on your face over the name of the band. Felt very fitting for this moment.
Katsuki shifted in his sleep and patted his arm on the bed looking for you. When he cracked an eye open, he saw your side of the bed still empty. He grunted and pushed himself up, stretching his arms and back a long the way.
His quiet foot steps echoed throughout the hallway till he found you in the living room. You look up to see him still only in his black briefs as he sits down next to you and rests his head on your shoulder, eyes shutting once again.
"Sumi...," he groaned. "Let mommy sleep with daddy."
You both giggled when she grunted and snuggled into your neck.
"You hear that? She's already talken back to me," he sighs out. "Just bring her to our room. I'll set up to portable bed for her. Let's go back to bed."
"Just a few more minutes," you whispered. "I like these moments with her."
