"(Y/n) I already told you it's not gonna happen. I saw you and dunce face chatting it up at lunch Saturday. I refuse to let you date him."

"Stop calling him that. His name is Denki. He's a nice guy."

"He's an idiot. And I refuse to have another idiot in the family."

"Do you really think I'm stupid?" The girl asks sadly.

He opens his mouth to clarify but she runs away crying before any words could come out.

(Y/n) runs down to Denki's dorm and knocks quickly.

Denki opens the door and his eyes widen. "Whoa what happened? Did your phone die in the middle of a text? Do you need me to charge it?"

The girl laughs softly and shakes her head as she wipes her tears. "No Denki, my phone is fully charged. Also I don't think of you as just a charger like everyone else. You're funny and sweet. Yeah you can be perverted sometimes but at least it's not as bad as Mineta."

"I'd say I have standards and tasteful perverted jokes. Mineta...not so much." The blonde adds rubbing the nape of his neck.

The (h/c) girl smiles and walks into his room. "Do you mind if I stay here for a while? Katsu and I had an argument."

"Uh yeah. Hopefully he doesn't blow my door down looking for you though." He mumbles closing the door behind her.

Denki gestures her to sit on his bed.

(Y/n) sits down and sniffles softly. "Thanks again."

The boy sits in his desk chair and smiles. "Glad to be of service. Especially since it doesn't have to do with my quirk."

"I don't understand why people don't like you more. You and I aren't the smartest but still. You're kind and funny and totally hero material. I can't wait to see what kind of hero you'll be. Once you learn how to overcome the short circuits."

The teen boy blushes at the girl's endless compliments. "Stop," he whispers. "You don't have to pretend to be nice to me. I'm sure Bakubro doesn't like us talking or hanging out. He seems very over-protective."

"That's why we were fighting. He figured out that we were dating and he forbade it."

"We're dating?" Denki asks, shocked.

(Y/n) frowns. "I thought we were. Are we not?"

"Of course I'd love to date you. I just thought you wouldn't wanna date me. And Bakugou..."

"His opinion doesn't matter when it comes to who I date. If I wanna be with someone then I will."

"So you and I are...dating?" He asks, nervous.

"Yes. And I promise I would never use you, or think of you as just a charger or want you for your quirk."

His heart clenches at her confession.

He felt so loved and wanted.

(Y/n) holds Denki's hand and smiles cutely. "Before Katsu finds me I wanna cuddle."

"As long as I don't have to use my quirk I'm in." He whispers and crawls into the bed next to the girl.

(Y/n) lays her head on his shoulder and tangled their legs together. "You're so comfy."

He chuckles quietly. "I'm glad I can be your little lightning bear."

"Goodbye Teddy Bear, hello lightning bear." She whispers and giggles. "I love it."

Denki smiles and holds her close. "Sleep well sunshine nugget." He whispers softly and closes his eyes.
