《Bakugou Katsuki x reader one shots》Part 1

(Y/n) used to be a shy child. She never left the house due to health issues. This didn't stop her from trying to get strong. She worked around her health to build it up.
Her parents were proud of her. They weren't pro heroes and they didn't try to push her to be one either.
The child enjoyed watching heroes on tv and hearing her parents talk about the ones they see on their way to work though.
By the time she got into middle school she was more comfortable with others and their quirks.
Her own quirk manifested a bit later than others.
Spacial portals.
She still avoided people and focused on her studies. Soon she was top of her class.
Her classmates were happy for her but she hardly paid attention to their praise.
She merely smiled and went back to her notebook.
Around the school she was considered a sweet, smart girl.
But there's always a bully in a hero based society.
For (Y/n), her name was Lily.
Lily tried to make others think (Y/n) was a villain. "She used her portal to send me to a villain's base. They hurt me and my parents had to spend so much money to get me back. She even sent my friends to bad places too."
That was a normal occurrence.
A lot of students believed Lily too.
(Y/n) was such a closed off girl that she became a bad guy in most of their eyes.
(Y/n) didn't know how to respond to the false accusations so she decided to stay quiet.
The friends that she had, stopped talking to her.
Her parents had no idea anything was wrong in their daughter's life.
One day (Y/n) was walking in the park when a green haired boy bumped into her.
She fell to the ground and hit her head.
A small gasp exits her lips as the air from her lungs disappeared for a moment.
The boy gasps and quickly kneels next to her. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention. Are you hurt?"
As the tears stream down her cheeks slowly she holds her head.
Her hand was red with blood and his eyes widen.
"Oh god! I have to get you to the hospital. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. Can you stand? Should I call an ambulance?" He begins rambling as he paces back and forth.
She sits up still holding her head and with her free hand she makes a portal.
He looks at the portal quickly and helps her stand. "A portal? That's so cool. Can you tell me more about that?"
She looks at him then the portal.
"Oh right. Sorry. Hospital first, questions later."
The two walk through the red glow and she collapses into his arms.
A doctor rushes over and picks her up, laying her on a nearby gurney. He examined her injury and smiles.
"Is she gonna be ok?" Izuku asks.
"She'll be fine." The doctor responds wheeling her to a room. He stitches her gash and wraps a bandage around her head.
Izuku went home and explained everything to his mother.
"Why don't you get her flowers?" Inko offers and her son nods in agreement.
The doctor calls (Y/n)'s parents and explains what happened.
The parents were quick to get to the hospital. They explained her fragile health to the doctor over the phone.
The doctor made note and went to check on her immediately.

The girl was sleeping peacefully, thankfully.
The next day Izuku bought a small bouquet and after he went to the hospital.
Out of curiosity Katsuki followed the nerd.
If he had a girlfriend it was one more thing the bully could tease him about.
The blonde was confused at first seeing Izuku at the hospital and almost worried the broccoli boy's mom was there.
The two boys get inside and go to the right floor.
"You're just in time kid. She just woke up." The same doctor informs Midoriya.
The teen nods and walks into the room.
(Y/n) looks over confused. "You came back?"
Katsuki listens from outside the open door.
"Yeah. I brought you some flowers. I didn't know what kind you liked so I just bought the most colorful. I'm really so sorry about bumping into you. I was too busy looking at my quirk journal. Which reminds me could you tell me more about your quirk. I find it really interesting. But if you don't want me to, that's fine too."
(Y/n) giggles quietly. "Thank you for the flowers. If you really wanna know more I'll gladly tell you about my quirk. But um... My name is (Y/n). What is yours?"
"Oh yeah! My name is Izuku. But Kacchan calls me Deku."
"Who is Kacchan?"
"He's one of my friends. Well more like one sided friend. He's more like my bully." He responds rubbing his nape.
(Y/n) frowns. "That's not cool. Bully's suck. I have my own bully named Lily. She made everyone believe I was a villain because I use spacial portals."
Katsuki's hand sparks slightly in anger at the two talking. The more he thought about it he remembered some kids talking about a girl with a portal quirk.
He thought it was a cool quirk and found it really useful.
To know those rumors were false and hurt her made him pissed.
"I hope we can be friends Izuku. I stopped going to school but maybe I'll go back. Where are you going to high school?"
"I actually applied for UA. As crazy as that sounds."
"UA? Wow. I heard that's a super intense hero school. A lot of heroes come from there. I don't think I could get in."
"You wouldn't have to be in the same class. You could be in class B or C." Izuku quickly interjects.
She giggles softly and nods. "General studies might be a good fit. I never planned to be a pro hero but if I can save someone I'd be happy. Fame and glory mean nothing to me."
"Then I'll be the number one hero just for you."
The two blush deeply.
Katsuki's hand sparks more and a nurse kicks him out.
When (Y/n) is released she fills out paperwork for UA and sends it in.
Her parents were proud that she made a friend again.
Maybe this one will last longer than the others.
A week later she gets a letter of acceptance.
Immediately she calls Izuku to tell him the good news.
He was happy for her and offered for her to come over for dinner.
The teen accepted and told her parents the plan.
On the way to the boy's house she turns the corner and bumps into a certain blonde explosion.
"Watch where you're going extra!" He yells down at her.
"I'm sorry," she whispers, head down.
He recognized her voice as the girl Deku was talking to at the hospital.

She slowly stands up.
"Hey are you that girl Deku was talking to the other day? The one at the hospital?"
She looks at him confused. "Uh yeah. Why?"
"Would you wanna hang out sometime?"
"What?" She questions, even more confused.
Why is a stranger asking to hang out?
"Who are you?" She finally asks.
"I'm Bakugou Katsuki." He introduces, a cocky grin present.
"Should I know who you are?"
"I go to school with Deku." He responds and she smiles.
"That's cool I guess. I'm on my way to his house right now."
"You didn't answer my question extra. Do you wanna hang out sometime?" His fists move to his hips.
Sassy jerk much?
"I guess." She responds hesitantly.
He takes out his phone and looks at her expectantly.
She gives him her number and he types it in quickly.
"I'll text you later."
"I should really be getting along. Goodbye I guess."
"Bye extra." He walks away, hands in his pockets.
She rolls her eyes at the nickname. "Extra huh?" She sighs softly and keeps walking to her friend's house.
Upon arriving the green haired boy greeted her with a large smile.
She walks in and greets Inko who is in the kitchen cooking.
"I'm so happy for you. I won't know anything until after the mock test."
"I'm sure you'll get in. You never told me what your quirk is."
He quickly looks toward the kitchen then back at his friend. He grabs her wrist and drags her to his room.
She follows very confused. "Did I say something wrong?"
Izuku locks the doors and looks at her. "My mother doesn't know I have a quirk. I was born quirkless, but I attained a quirk recently. Well more like I'm getting ready to attain it. My body isn't ready yet to handle the quirk. I'm getting stronger so my body won't explode upon receiving."
The girl listens and tries to comprehend everything he said. She nods along and finally shakes her head.
He sits on his bed next to her. "Mom can't know though. She'd only worry. And the person I'm getting the quirk from must remain a secret."
(Y/n) nods in understanding.
Izuku smiles and nudges her shoulder with his gently.
"Oh by the way I bumped into one of your classmates today. He wants to hangout I guess." She informs and shrugs.
He looks at her confused. "Weird. Everyone I go to school with bullies me because I don't have a quirk and I applied for UA."
The girl frowns and nudges his shoulder back. She smiles softly when he looks at her.
"Let's enjoy tonight. Mom is making pork cutlet bowls."
"Yummy," the teen girl squeals quietly.
A couple days later (Y/n) gets a text from a number she didn't know.
"Hey extra! You busy today?"
"Who is this?"
"Bakugou?"
She rolls her eyes as she remembers who this is.
"I'm free I guess. Why?"
"Wanna hang today?"
"I guess."
"Meet at the park near the station?"
"I'll be there in 10."
"See ya then extra."
"Stop calling me extra Katsu."
The blonde blushes at the nickname.
No one ever uses his first name except his parents occasionally.
He puts his phone away and starts walking to the park.
(Y/n) changes into a long sweater that reaches her knees along with short shorts that you can't see, knee high socks and Mary Janes. She begins her walk to the park a couple minutes away.
The blonde walks around trying to find the girl and manages to spot her near a tree.
She checks her purse to make sure she has everything she'd need.
"You look good." He whispers near her ear.
She quickly turns and slaps him. "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't know it was you."
"Dammit woman that hurt." He yells and holds his red cheek.
She pouts and crosses her arms. "Well maybe you shouldn't whisper in a stranger's ear."
Bakugou rolls his eyes and stuffs his hands in his pockets. "Whatever. Let's just go."
"Where are we going?" The girl asks following him.
"If I'm being honest I didn't have anywhere in mind. Just around. But I want you to act less like a little bitch. You're such a doormat right now. You should totally change that. You could totally pull off the badass persona."
(Y/n) frowns. "Won't that make people hate me more?"
"Who fucking cares? You shouldn't care what others think about you. As long as you like you and shoot for being the best you can be, that's all that matters."
She lets his words sink in and she smiles. "I guess you're right. For a long time I didn't care what others thought. When Lily started bullying me everything changed though. I'm not a villain but she made everyone believe I was."
"She can rot. Just because you have a cool portal quirk doesn't mean you'd use it to send people to bad places."
The girl blushes and looks down.
Katsuki nudges her with his elbow and smirks at her.
She blushes more as she looks at him then the shops around them. "So you wanna make me badass? You'll probably have a really hard time. I'm too shy and sweet."
"Yeah yeah yeah whatever. Sweet and shy make for the coolest badasses. They're the ones no one expects." He chuckles and looks down at her.
She thinks about that then chuckles quietly herself. "Yeah I guess you're right."
"Of course I am. I'm always right."
His cocky side comes out.
She rolls her eyes and elbows his guts
He coughs and glares at her.
As the day goes on and the more fun they had, the harder it was for them to say goodbye.
Even Katsuki wanted the day to go on for a while longer.
Finally as the sun was setting he walked her home and they stopped at her door.
"Thanks extra." She mumbles, a bored expression on her face.
He growls and points his finger in her face. "Watch it you little shit. That's my thing. You are an extra."
She smirks and leans closer to his face. "Are you sure about that Katsu? I'm pretty sure you're an extra."
He blushes slightly at her close proximity. He pushes her face away and clears his throat. "Whatever extra. I'll see you later. Maybe we'll get dinner next time."
"You're buying that's for sure." She calls as she walks into her house then closes the door before he could respond.
He was taken back slightly but smirks. He made significant progress in her transformation.
She was becoming a stubborn, cocky teenager like him.
And he loved it.
After hearing she was bullied he decided to "help" her better herself so she wouldn't be such a doormat.
The blonde walks home, hands in his pockets and smirking.

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)
