AMELIA'S P.O.V
"That's totally fine. Stop being so laborious." I rolled my eyes at Regina, who was already fuming with anger. I once heard Asher saying, that he married Regina because he loved her angry face. At first, I thought he was just talking rubbish, but now I know what he meant. Regina looked quite adorable with those puffed red cheeks, saucers like wide eyes, and lips turned into a thin line.
"I am not a kid anymore! For God's sake, I am twenty two!" Ana exclaimed looking at Regina as if she was the biggest lunatic ever existed.
"Yes! Me too." Of course, Madeleine said lifting her head up from the soul eating device, also known as ipad while Regina kept quite, still fuming with what I told her. Now, I would say that Ana was totally right about Regina not being sensible. I was the one who was taking her for granted, not Ana. She's not even willing to listen about Daniel. She thinks that he's using Ana against Asher since he's a rival company. Which could be true, but I won't interfere between them. That's entirely Ana's decision.
"Listen, Reg. Getting married is a big deal and not a child's play. She knows she is going to spend the rest of her life with him!" I paused,"She must know what are his intentions and in my opinion, no one is dumb enough to trust a person with marriage. If she's willing to marry him then there must be a good reason."
"What reason? What if he takes what he wants and then leave her? What will she do then? Cry her life out?" She glared at Ana, "I can't let that happen! I've tried to make a marriage work while struggling with contracts. I can't let Ana slip into that shit."
I took a deep inhale, it was really difficult, "Regina you're living a perfect life, one would ever wish for. Everyone has to face complications in life. You faced them too. That doesn't mean circumstances will be same for Ana too. Life is always difficult."
"Regina. I've always let you make my decisions. I never complained on what happened. I've always trusted you." Ana fumbled with her fingers, her voice becoming heavier with every word, "But this time. Just this once, let me do what my heart desires. I want to trust my heart for once. I wish it doesn't lead me to total annihilation and destroy my life but this time let me hear it. Let me trust myself with this. Please."
"Ana." A tear slipped down Regina's cheek. She was stuck in a ditch of confusion. Her face depicted the arguments she was having with herself. Its easy to give someone advice but circumstances always change, whenever it comes to us. When it come to ourselves and our own people. You have to think thousand times before saying anything, because you know, one mistake and everything will go downhill. I looked up at Regina. She wasn't crying anymore. She looked like she was in a deep thought and whatever the battle she was having with herself was now finished, leaving her all vulnerable and pained.
"I don't want you to destroy your life." She mumbled looking up at Ana, "but if this is what you want, then its okay. I won't pester you to follow me."
"Regina, I don't mean to hurt you but I love Daniel with everything in me. If I lose him then I don't think I would be able to cope anymore. After mom and dad, there were only you and Daniel. You know that! How can I let him go?"

Regina shook her head, "I am not angry or hurt. I trust you and your decisions. Its okay. I am happy that you're listening to your heart. I just wish everything goes fine." She says and take her into a bear hug. Gosh. Madeleine, on seeing this rushed towards them and literally jumped on them.
Regina pulled back, "hey silly milly, come here." I smiled and drifted towards them. They both smiled goofily at me.
"At last!" Ana mouthed at me and I chuckled.
"We're the best sistaaaas!" Madeleine roared and that was the moment we heard shrill crying noise coming from the room upstairs.
"Liam on fire." Ana chuckled while Regina ran back, scrunching her nose up.
Everything was going fine. I was living a life people would desire to live. A perfect life. Good job, best family, caring lover, happiness brewing all around me, what else was missing? Nothing. It felt like everything was going smooth. I don't want this to ever end but this silence. This eerie silence around me sometimes suffocate me. Just like they say, there's silence before the storm. I dread that storm.
"What happened?" I asked as Regina stepped into the living room with Liam in her arms. Ana and Madeleine were already gone somewhere.
"Asher." She plopped down on the couch next to me and Liam began playing with her hair, "He was trying to play batman with him."
"Batman?" I asked taking interest in the new game.
"Yeah he wraps Liam in a large cloth and then glide him left to right pretending that Liam is some sort of batman flying in the air. Ow!" She winced when Liam tugged hard at one of the strands.
"He does this all the time?"
"Whenever I ask him to keep an eye on him." She shook her head and freed herself from Liam's hand.
I laughed out loud. Men and their weird ideas.
"And another surprise!" She turned to me abruptly remembering something.
"Surprise?"
"Yeah. You know they have already decided the date?"
"What are you talking about?" She placed Liam on the floor with his toys and poured herself a steaming cup of chamomile tea which I had been gulping for an hour now. Regina's maid has magic in her hands. She makes the best chamomile tea ever.
"Wedding date. They don't want to delay it anymore. They want to get married as soon as possible."
"No. Really?" I asked bewildered.
She hummed in response.
"When?"
"Next Sunday."
"Next Sunday? Like the very next sunday? Almost after seven days?" I asked with a shrill voice, "they are mad or something?!"
"I don't know. It doesn't matter. What's the purpose of delaying? They've already decided."
"You're still mad, aren't you?"
She exhaled sharply, "No. I am not mad. Its just....its just that priorities change. She's a grown up woman. I have to understand that. She can't be a kid. She has to make her own decisions now. She has to live her own life and I can't act like an over protective sister all the time. It'll take time to get that, but someday I'll understand."
"Its good now that you're getting it."
"Yeah. Now I want you to call all the reletives and then we will have to go shop for the dresses and other things. I talked to Asher about this. He's cool and said he'll manage everything. We just have to manage the dresses and whatever the girls do on such occasions."

"Oh. That's nice. I'll call them. Just give me a list."
"Here." She handed me a folded paper.
"You made it just in an hour?" I asked opening the list, "And woah! They're too many."
"Ana gave this to me. She has other lists too. Like about the shopping. Just call half of them and I'll do the rest."
"O-okay." I was confused but nevertheless begun with the calls.
Well this was going to be a long long weekend.

"This is so freaking tight! I can't breath!" Ana stumbled and slammed against the door, "And these heels! Can't I wear sneakers?!"
"No you can't." Regina stepped forward straightening the white beaded wedding dress, "This is not even attractive. Try something else." She grumbled and went away towards the maniquins showcased in expensive wedding dresses.
"I don't want beige. I want something white and my bridemaids to wear beige." She came out of the trying room and scanned the large shop. Her eyes suddenly widened, "Oh my god."
"What?" I asked following her gaze.
"That. I want that dress." She pointed towards one of the maniquins and sure it took my breath away too. There was a white laced wedding dress cut perfectly into mermaid style. White pearls decorated its bodice in a fine sprinkle saturated at the upper and gradually faded downwards.
"Its amazing. Regina!" I called out and she spinned to face me and I pointed towards the dress, "Look at that dress!"
She followed and her mouth dropped, "Why didn't I see it?" She said something to blonde manager and in no time Ana was again inside the room with the dress of her dreams.
After waiting for almost twenty minutes, Ana was out, smiling like a little duckling. She literally looked like a minion of Donald Duck and I find him adorable as hell.
"How does it look on me?" she asked, her face shining with a new anticipation.
"You look so pretty. So pretty that I think I might cry like a 90's mother who cries her heart out on seeing her daughter in a sparkling wedding dress. Such fantasies.....That would look so awkward so I think I should just shut up." Regina blabbered suppressing the tears forming in the corner of her eyes, ruining her weird winged eyeliner which took, according to her, three years to get perfect.
"Stop being so dramatic." I chuckled slapping Regina on the shoulder, "Ana you look like a perfect doll. We are definitely going to buy this dress. No other choice." She nodded frantically.
"Marine!" I called out to the blonde manager, "We're buying this one please."
"Sure! great choice. Now, would you like to take a look at the Bridemaid's collection. New arrivals?" She said with a plain professional smile on her face.
"Yes, please." Regina said literally jumping with excitement. Of course, its her turn now.
"Please follow me." We followed her to the other side of the shop which was too, adorned with dazzling dresses.
"Can you please suggest the colour?" Marine asked and on cue Ana appeared behind us, "Beige. Umm...wait no, I think peach. Yes, peach will look better." My eyes widened at the sudden change of her plans.
"But you had already decided on beige. What happened now?" I asked and she just shrugged. Well, it was her choice. Marine nodded and showed us some knee length puffy dresses.
It didn't took long to decide the bridemaid's dress. Ana wanted to keep it simple so we took out the simplest one.
"At last." Regina breathed out wiping her forehead dramarically considering the fact that it was almost end of November, "Now, we are done with calls, salons, dress, and jewellery. What else?"
"Dinner." Okay that was the first thing that came into my mind, "I need something to eat, otherwise I would die. I have not even been proposed to yet let alone got married. Please have mercy on me. You keep tearin-"
"No. Shawn Mendes, no." Ana glared throwing daggers at me and scowling like a cat.
"Okay!" I scowled back with the same intensity as hers. Weirdo. Idiota.
"Asher just texted me. He's waiting for us at home. He cooked something for us." Regina picked up the bags almost stumbling.
"Asher cooked?! Again?" Ana shrieked running towards the counter to handle the bills while Regina shouted behind her about Asher not being that bad.
"Okay please." We scurried back to the car and stuffed the shopping bags in the trunk and it almost looked like a puddle. A puddle of precious things. My stomach was grumbling or more like growling too loud. I cringed hard at the sounds and looked around to check if someone heard. I used to think that these growling sounds can only be heard by me, but one day in high school, when at last I was sitting beside my crush, Miles Sorel the bad boy , as usual, my stomach began growling, screaming at me to throw some food down there. I was super cool about that and didn't bother to do anything when finally Miles turned towards me and placed a sandwich in front of me saying, "It may help the monster." I didn't understand at first but then the gush of embarrassment struck me.
I opened my bag to look for some crisps but then I remembered something hauntingly terrible. I stopped keeping crisps in bag the day Alarick shouted at me like a maniac and said that I eat like freaking pig.
Mark my words, that hurt too much, like a bullet laced with red chilli paste piercing through your red flesh. I then tried to eat crisps more elegantly and tried to make sounds, as less as possible, but failed miserably. They make them too crispy, what's my mistake?!
Regina was driving while Ana was blabbering something about her and Daniel. I scowled and took my phone out, just to see it bombarded with tons of messages and they were all from one and only person. Alarick freaking Knight. I laughed out loud when my eyes caught one message wedged between them. I am going to fūck you so hard that you won't be able to walk for days. And then the next one. Or even sit. He thought I wouldn't read all messages. Dumbo. Hey! I am a loner and I even read messages from tele services.
I decided to call him.
"Keep your pickle in the jar!" I chimed into the phone as soon as he picked up.
"I am trying so hard. You have no idea." His voice reached my ears and all of my tiredness was thrown out of the window, "I'm waiting for you."
"Where?"
I heard some shuffling, "At Asher's."
"What are you doing there?"
"Uh...Asher blew the kitchen up and called me for help as if I could do anything." He breathed out, "Don't tell Regina about it. We're doing something. She might crack up."
"O-Okay. Well, is Liam alright?" I asked which caught Regina's attention too.
"No. He's crying. He's crying so loud that my ears hurt." Just then I heard the faint crying, "I tried to sing him a song, the one you sang that day. The fire in heart something. He cried even more. I think I can't feel my ears anymore. Why do babies cry so much?!"
I laughed a little, "I sang that song to annoy you. How could you sing Adele to a crying baby?!"
"Crying?" Regina asked turning a little all the while keeping eyes on the road. I nodded and she shook her head, "He must be hungry!"
"How does she know that?" Alarick answered back, "Is there some sensor in her?"
"No, she's his mother." I stated the obvious, "She knows everything. Now, go give him something!"
"Something? We have some pizza over here. It looks like he can eat it."
FML
"No! Ask Asher! He must know something!"
"Okay! Okay."
