Alright. Before you officially begin this story, I would warn you about Amelia's character. She is not going to be your typical and sensible female lead. She is going to do extremely weird and impossible things where you'll be like "Oh is she for real?" "She is so impossible" and sometimes "She is so annoying" too but you have to keep this in mind that she has gone through a lot. She is weird because she hasn't seen the world like she was supposed to. So, don't give up on this story because the female lead is different. There exist every type of people.
AMELIA'S POV
I stood outside the huge building. The sun shone mercilessly above me making me sweat even more. I silently thanked my odds for making me wear this sundress. I wonder how I would look wearing jeans in such a hot weather.
I took slow steps towards the huge building. Passing through the glass doors, I entered the lobby.
This is now or never. I have never tried to place a step in proper professional life till this day. Now talking about professional? I am a total mess.
In other words, I am an unprofessional monkey who needs to get her shit together.
"Where's the interview?" I asked as I reached the receptionist through the flood of people. The sweaty smell lingered on my nose as I wiped the drops of sweat forming on my forehead.
"Tell me your name first." The blonde examined me.
"Amelia Primrose." I didn't want to belong to my father anymore so I decided to use my mother's name.
When I started meeting dad's people, he changed my name from Amelia Torres to Rebecca and I hated that name. My mom loved the name 'Amelia' so much and I wanted to keep that name ever since she left us but dad had to be persistent.
But the first thing I did when I got freed from him was, changing my name back to 'Amelia' and since I hated my dad, I decided to use my mother's name as my surname.
Amelia Primrose. A new beginning.
"Okay. It's on top floor." She said while typing something on the laptop.

I walked towards the elevator. There were two of them. One was private and the other was for random people. I could tell by the long line in front of it. I joined the line.
I was looking at the people getting inside when the crowd fell silent. Or I can say pin drop silent.
"He's here." A man behind me said.
"I wonder what he will do to this company." The other replied back.
I looked back frowning but all I could see was people's head.
Standing on my tippy toes, I tried to see again. The only moving thing I could see was a man's hair and nothing else. Then suddenly the hair disappeared behind the private elevator and the pin drop silence was no more.
On my turn, I entered the elevator with a bunch of people suffocating me and I was pushed into a corner. In dozens of people pushing and pulling each other, I was able to tie my thick red locks into a loose bun. I don't know why but people have always envied my red hair. I don't find anything extravagant in them. They're just hair no matter what the colour is.
On reaching my floor, I stepped out of the elevator. Without turning back once, I strode into the restroom. It was really spacious with stalls on one side and white sinks with shiny mirrors on other side.
I walked over one sink and looked at my reflection. I looked like a mess. Some loose strands were picking out of my hair like someone just bombed my hair. My face was red due to continuous wiping of sweat.
I always hated summers. I think today's the hottest day of the year and this interview is not making it any better.
Not that I didn't had a job or I lost it. I am a home tutor. Every evening I teach little kids from around the neighbourhood, at my home. I love kids. I was applying for the job because I wanted to distract my mind from things. The things which haunt me all day and night. Like a shadow, they creep behind me, darkening my soul.
Putting some liquid soap on my palm, I washed my face. After drying my face with tissue papers, I stared at my reflection. Now, I could see the real me. No makeup at all. Freckles on my nose and cheeks were always sign of beauty for me. They showed me that the real me was living somewhere under the coat of disguise.

I didn't want to put any make up. Not because I didn't like it. I just didn't want to. I tightened my loose bun and straighten my floral sundress. Tightening the grip on my leather bag, I exited the restroom.
I looked around the floor. There was no one here. There was complete silence. The receptionist caught my eye and I quickly walked towards her.
"Excuse me?" I asked as I reached her desk. She was really pretty. Her dark brown hair matched her dark brown pools. She was wearing white suit which emphasized her curves.
"How can I help you?" She asked raising her eyebrow at me.
"I'm here for the interview." I said as glanced at her nametag. Bianca Moore.
"Interview? Which interview?" Bianca asked frowning. My breath hitched.
"F-For the interior-" I started.
"Oh that one! Sorry but you're late."
"Late?! No I'm not! Its only 8:03." I said turning my watch towards her.
"Exactly. You're three minutes late." She said shrugging.
"Oh no! But I need this job. Can you do something? Please?" I pleaded
"I can't do anyth-" she paused as she brought her hand to her right ear. She nodded twice and pressed some button on the device stuck to her ear.
"Good day! The interviews are postponed. You're lucky! The gentleman bought this company. We'll call you when the interviews will be held again."
I released the breath that I was holding for a long time and nodded at her.
Releasing a sigh, I turned around and trotted towards the elevator.
Now, I have to wait again. I am tired of staying at home doing nothing but to think and remember what I did in my past. And how many people are left whom I still need to apologize.
That buyer! Why today?! If he hadn't come today no one would have stopped until he got into the elevator. I would have saved my three freaking minutes!
But that doesn't matter now, does it? He was going to buy the company anyway.
I groaned as I pushed the up button harder than required hurting my own finger. I tapped my foot on the ground waiting for the elevator as I felt a presence behind me.
"That's for private use."
I heard a deep husky voice behind me and turned abruptly to see sparkling chocolate brown pools staring at me. The person standing in front of me was no less than a Greek god himself. It looked like God made him on Sunday! His dark brown locks were pushed back and his chiseled jaw emphasized the light stubble on his face. He looked familiar. More than familiar.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when my eyes travelled down to his clenched fists making his biceps bulge. The rich Armani fitted him perfectly showing his muscle lines.
I looked back into his eyes.
"You're the boss?" I asked frowning.
"Obviously. He is using the private elevator." My subconscious mocked.
His brow furrowed as he blew the air out of his mouth.
"Yes he is." The brunette receptionist spoke from behind and I tilted my head to see Bianca's twinkling eyes as she stared at the back of this man.
He didn't even bother to turn back instead he rolled his eyes gritting his teeth.
I rolled my eyes too and stepped aside as the shiny steel doors opened and Mr. Rude walked inside. I looked into his eyes as the door closed and everything turned back to normal.
"What were you doing?!" Bianca asked grabbing my arm and yanking me to a side.
"What?"
"He is the buyer! Our new boss! You want to lose your chance before getting it?!" She yelled.
"Oh I thought." I paused to comprehend what just happened, "Whatever!" I yelled back.
Okay Miss. Amelia, you did an amazing job again! I thought as I turned around and stepped into the other elevator.
