《Friends With The Mafia Capo》Chapter XXXVI

I quickly take the man to the medical room, without being noticed, and clean his wound. I use steriliser and wipe the area and bandage it until I can get a doctor to do the stitches.
After finishing and giving him some food to eat, I grab a pair of medical scissors. Placing it above my knee and cut my long red dress, to give me more range of movement while I help Mateo fight.
I smile at Mario and run out of the room, gun loaded and in my hands. Running, I look for more of the gang members the broke in. I walk towards the kitchen, making sure no one is behind me or hidden.
As I enter the room, a tall red haired man stands in front of the fridge, cup of water on his lips.
I make sure no weapons are near the man and clear my throat. "Are you done?"
He swallows the last drop of water and sets the cup onto the counter. "I'm unarmed, why don't you just kill me?"
"It's rude to bother someone while they drink water. I happen to have manners so I was willing to wait for you to finish before killing you." I reply.
"I don't," says a feminine voice from behind my back.
The red haired man's eyes, that were on mine, travel to behind me. His posture straightens and his eyes grow darker.
Before I have the chance to turn, my head is struck with a hard object, which I guess to be the back of a gun.
My vision starts to blur but I fight it. I quickly drop into a squat, which causes my vision to blur even more, and kick the women, causing her to loose her footing and fall to the ground and the gun to go flying away from her hand.

A grunt escapes her lips as I pull a dagger from the make-shift holster Mateo made me.
The women and I both stand up at the same time. She goes to punch me with her right arm but I dodge it and slash her left arm.
As she is shocked and worried about her arm, I take that moment to my advantage. I push her against a cabinet and place the dagger against her neck.
"Who are you?" I ask.
She spits in my face and pushes me off of her. I get pushed into the red haired man and his arms wrap around me, trapping me and limits my range of movement. His rough and calloused hands rip the dagger from my hand and throws it on the ground.
"She is a pretty one," the man says to the women, as he strokes the length of my leg.
The women spits out , "Stop fucking petting her." She grabs the gun from the ground and places it against my forehead.
I attempt to free myself from the man's iron grip, but it was no use.
"Any last words?" The women asks me. "Make them good."
I close my eyes and I hear a gun go off. Blood splatters on my face and onto my lips.
Realising that the women's gun was not the one to go off, I grab the other dagger from the holster and sink it into the man's thigh.
I free myself from the man and Mateo runs to him, punching the red head until blood comes out of both Mateo's hands and the other man's face.
The man falls to the ground, bloody and unconscious.
Mateo grabs a bloody gun from the ground and shoots the man, his aim deadly.
"I win," he smirks.
Remembering, I grab his arm and run to the medical room.

The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
