《Friends With The Mafia Capo》Chapter XIII

Angela is such a dumbass. I mean, I am pretty thick but she shouldn't get distracted like that. I wouldn't usually do that but I wanted to see her reaction.
I need to be more strict now. This was fun and all, but I can't be showing my fun side. I need to be tough: I'm soon to be Don after all.
I open the freezer, grab an ice pack, and head back towards the gym. I open the door and notice Angela sitting on the treadmill.
"Here," I say, handing her the ice pack. She takes it from me and places it on her head, mumbling a quiet 'Thank you' to me.
"Anyway, you keep running. I have a few things to do," I say to her.
"Alright, see you," She replies, standing up.
I walk out again and this time, my bodyguard Nico walks beside me.
"So what are we doing, Capo?" He asks.
"I need to go sign some contracts and check a shipment we are receiving from the Americans," I reply.
"How many men do you need, Sir?" He asks.
"Six men and two extra cars behind me to bring the supplies back," I say, pressing the button of the elevator.
"Alright, Sir. In five minutes, everything will be ready," He says, walking out of the elevator.
I walk into my room and change into black jeans and a grey button-up shirt. I put on my Gucci chain and watch and grab a gun, my knife, and car keys.
I walk out of my room and notice Evan leaning against the wall.
"Sup, Capo. What you doing?" He asks, following behind me.
"Going out," I reply, not wanting to tell him the whole truth.
I walk down the stairs and walk over to my father, who is reading the newspaper and smoking a cigar.

"Figlio, hai intenzione di firmare i documenti?" He asks. (Son, are you going to sign the paperwork?)
"Yes, and I'm getting the shipment from the Americans," I reply.
"Va bene, figliolo," He says before his phone starts to ring. (Alright, son.)
"Capo, we are ready," Nico says.
I leave the room and head over to my car. I put in the key and it roars to life.
I speed away from the house and towards our lawyer's office in Sicily.
I connect my phone to the car and start playing Frank Sinatra.
I park the car and stride into the office. Jonathan, our lawyer, stands up as I walk in and we shake hands.
"Come stai? Sei qui per il contratto, giusto?" He asks. (How are you? You're here for the contract, correct?)
"Si," I reply.
"Okay, the first contract is for the yacht, then I need you to sign this for all the shipments that are coming in from the other mafias."
I grab a pen and start signing the papers he gave me.
"Qualunque altra cosa?" I ask. (Anything else?)
"Stai attento con i russi. I heard you have a mole," He whispers loud enough that only I can hear. (Be careful with the Russians,)
"Hai idea di chi sia?" I ask. (Do you have any idea who it is?)
"No, ma non fidarti di nessuno tranne che della tua famiglia. E ancora, non condividere nulla," He says, standing up. (No, but don't trust anyone but your family. And again, don't share anything.)
I stand up as well and shake his hand, "Grazie."
"Nessun problema, ho le spalle," He says before I leave. (No problem, I've got your back.)

I walk out and step in my car. I sit there for a second thinking. Who could it be? Why? My family treats everyone with respect and treats them like their own. Are they close to me?
Before I overthink too much, I start driving towards the docks, where I was told to shipment is.
I then call Nico over the speaker system in my car.
"Ciao?" He answers.
"Nico, here's the plan: Two guys stand on either side of me and the other three behind us," I tell him.
"Yes, boss," He says, hanging up.
I step out of my car when I arrive at the docks and like instructed, Nico and another man were next to me and three others were behind us. I look in front and there where two big craters. From behind the crates came out two men.
"Mr. Rossi, a pleasure to see you again," Says one of the men, Xavier.
"Good to see you, Xavier," I reply, taking a step forward to shake his hand.
"In this crate," He starts, placing his hand on the top of it, "it's full of new weapons like the glocks from last time and the ofher one is full of ammo."
"I appreciate the help," I state.
"It's the least we could do, after all the help we have received from you all," He says before walking away.
I wave my hand and the three guys behind me step forward, lift the lid of the crates, and I look in.
Inside were weapons and ammo like Xavier said. The guys lift up the crates and take them to the black vans.
I head back to my black Corvette and speed towards the house. I pull out a cigarette and start smoking it. I know it's bad, but so I give a shit? Nope.
As I'm waiting at a red light, in the corner of my peripheral vision, I spot a tattoo shop, so I make a left turn and park my car in the parking lot.
I get out and walk into the shop.
"Sir, do you have an ap-" The lady in the front desk starts, "Right this way, Mr. Rossi."
I follow behind her and sit down on the tattoo bench. The tattoo guy comes from the back and asks what tattoo I want to get.
"A rose on the inside of my lower left arm," I tell him.
I have gotten tattoos before: My whole right arm is covered with them.
The guy comes back with black ink and starts tattooing me.

The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
