"Did I scare you?" The man asked as he held out his right hand. His eyes never leave mine. "I'm Jeon Jungkook. Chairman of Golden Closet." I straight away stand up and wipe off the sweat that is on my palm and shake his hand, bowing my head slightly to show my respect. "I'm sorry Mr Jeon. I didn't notice your arrival. I'm Kim Na Ra, your new secretary." I gulped a little as I sense his presence is very intimidating to me.
"Get yourself ready and come into my office, prepared. I need to run through a lot of things with you." He said as he finally remove the frown from his brows and walked into his office. I did managed to take a glance at his office. It is much darker than the one right here. Suddenly the phone intercom came on and the chairman's voice could be heard as soon I pressed the red intercom button.
"You can come in now." He hang up. I quickly stood up, bringing my phone, my yearly planner and pen. I walk my way to Mr Jeon's office and knock on it once. "Come in." His deep voice could be heard. I push the snake design handle forward and stepped into his office. The interiors are in shade of black with red furniture furnished. Only one glass window behind his seat with the view of the whole city of Seoul. "Enjoying the view?" He asked as he noticed me being so curious.
"I love the interior." That is a lie coming from me. May lord forgive me. "I shall take that as compliment." He said as he run his index finger just underneath his bottom lip. "Have a seat Ms Kim. I will run through my schedule for this and next two months. Please pay attention and be attentive." He said and begin detailing to me every single important things that I need to take note of.
"So thats about it for now. Once HR prepare your email address, I will email you all of the upcoming schedules. Appointments to be done whenever the clients want to meet me. Except fo for these six names here." Mr Jeon hand me a small piece of paper. "These six are the only exceptional. Be it I'm around or not, you can allow them to wait for me in my office. Understand?" He leans back against his chair and cross his arms. I nodded and replied with a simple yes.

"Now for basic rules. First, do not ever enter that room." He pointed at a red door with black patterns and designs on it. Second, do prepare a cup of tea for me every morning. Red tea with two sugar cubes on the saucer. Third, do not bother to ask me about my lunch. I eat only home cook meal. Last but not least, do not enter my office when I am not around or without permission. In case you need me to sign any important documents and I happen to not be in the office the whole day, you can pass to Seokjin hyung who is my right hand man. Thats about it. Any questions?"
"Not at this moment Mr Jeon." I replied and suddenly there's a knock on the door. "Jungkook..." A deep male voice calling his name from outside. "Come on in, hyung." It was the man with broad shoulder that I met in the elevator earlier on. "This is Seokjin. My right hand man. He will assist you for today. Anything just ask him. I have a meeting outside. Do not call me." Jungkook said as he stood up and put on his coat. "Hyung please behave yourself and teach her well." He warned and with that he left the office, leaving only me and Seokjin together.
"Mr Seokjin..." I wonder if he recognize me or not. "Just call me Jin. You're the elevator girl right? Yeah I remember you." Why is he answering my inner thoughts? I am pretty sure I didn't ask him out loud. Probably coincidence. I let that pass. "Now shall we get to work. There is so many things Geubum left for you to do. Jungkook fired her last minute today this morning." He rolled his eyes and walked out of the Chairman's office.
Time flies and it is already lunch time as I look at the watch. "Jin do you want to join me for lunch?" I asked and he shake his head. "No thank you. You go ahead. Be back in an hour time alright." he reminded me. With that I left him alone and head my way down to the cafeteria. Once I am at the cafeteria, I decided to get myself a nice bowl of ramyeon and a bottled drink. I stood awkwardly looking for an empty seat when suddenly I heard my name being called. "Na Ra, come and sit with us." I turned and noticed it was the receptionist that greeted me when I arrived earlier on. I smiled a little and made my way towards her and her friends.

"My name is Mi Rae. Kang Mi Rae." She introduced herself and followed by her friends. Well a good start here. At least they are friendly. "Anyway how is the design department? I heard it is chaotic." Mi Rae asked me as she chewed on the pork meat. "Oh I was actually being appointed to be the Chairman's secretary." Mi Rae choked on her food and cough. I patted her back and immediately hand the drink to her. "I'm sorry? Chairman's secretary? This is the third time he changed his secretary." Third time? Are they for real? "Strangely, they left the company like that and never heard about them." One of the girl said as she put the tofu in her mouth.
"I guess Mr Jeon is a fierce man then. Assuming he has been changing secretary." I said but another one replied something that kinda feel like disrespectful to me. "I heard he will seduce them and then slept with them. The next day he will just fired them." I turned to look at the girl whose name I can't recall. "Okay that is disrespectful. That man is the one paying your salary." I said calmly and finished up my drink. "Don't worry. I will work hard and try my best to not get fired." I smiled at the girls and look at the watch on my left wrist. "I have to go up now. It is nice to join you girls for lunch." I said as I stood up and head my way back up to the office.
Once I reached the floor of my office, I noticed Jin just came out from Mr Jeon's office with a black napkin. He is wiping the corner of his lips. Jin stopped and look at me. "You're back early." He looked at his wrist watch before he opened up a bottle of mineral water and gulped it. I looked at him as he settled back down next to him and notice that he didn't wipe his mouth properly. "Jin.. erm you still have sauce here." I tap on my chin to indicate where it is. He lift the napkin and wipe it. "Oh my bad. The spicy chicken was too good." He said as he licks his bottom lip. "We have fifteen more minutes before our lunch break is over. How about we get to know each other?" Jin suggest and well that is better than just awkward silence right?
"Are you single, Na Ra?" Wow the first question he just blurt out like it is nothing. "Erm, I have a boyfriend. Known him since my high school years." I replied politely. "What about you? Any lucky lady?" I asked and he shrugged. "I did but she died tragically because she could not accept the truth." Jin said as he leans against his chair while he gaze at me.
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that. What happened to her if you don't mind me asking?" I try to be careful with my choice of words since the topic is getting sensitive now. "She could not keep her promise and not able to accept the truth, she was murdered mercilessly. Tragic." The way he said it was as if there is no emotion at all. I gave him a sympathy look and thats where he leans close to me and trace his finger along my necklace and lift up the pendant and look at it.

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have. Young Magic Knight
Welcome to the fantastic world of Bios. Another world, not much unlike our own, with some exceptions, such as, say, the presence of gods, demons, and magic. While things like these were once common knowledge, the Great Witch Hunt, which occurred 500 years ago, forced most of the magicians who survived into hiding, and many of the old religions to disappear, with the exception of a few. And so, as time went on, history was rewritten, and those amazing things became, to the population at large, the stuff of legends. However, in the year of 2017 A.S. (Anno Salvator), a group of teenagers find themselves pulled into the magical side of Bios as they encounter the Magic Knight Forces, discover dark secrets, and realize that a great threat is rising from its long sleep... The time for the supernatural to come out of the shadows is coming.
