"Two more bodies were found last night near Gangnam District area. Both victims were female around their early twenties. Both victims head were decapitated and their heart is missing. The police are currently investigating this gruesome murder."
I quickly switched off the television. It is totally not the kind of news I expected to hear in the morning. I grab my coffee mug and take a light sniff on the coffee aroma before sipping it. Lately Gangnam has not been a safe place for most of us. Especially young ladies. There have been a lot of news going around about kidnapping and murdering.
"Good morning, Na Ra." Hyuna, my roommate, greeted me from behind. We have been staying together since college. Even after graduation, Hyuna decided to continue to stay with me since her parents are mostly traveling overseas due to business.
"Good morning Hyuna." I looked at her and noticed that she is still in her pajamas and messy bun. "Aren't you working today?" I asked and she just shrugged. "I got fired. Again." She grab her coffee mug and begin making herself a cup of coffee. I placed my mug down and raised my brows at her.
"That is like your fifth job in a month. You know what, just stay at home until you find your passion in working." I said before I grabbed my handbag.
"Good luck on your first day at work. Use my car as a way of me wishing you luck." Hyuna said as she hands me her car key. "Thank you. Please do something worthy when you're at home. Start with the laundry babe." I said and with that I bid her farewell and make my way to my new workplace.
After being unemployed since three months I graduated, finally I received a call from one of the biggest company in South Korea. Golden Closet Enterprise. I went for my interview a week ago and immediately got the job. I requested to have another extra one week for my proper preparation of this new job. While I'm on my way to work, my phone buzzed and I pressed the speaker button to answer the call since I'm driving at the moment.

"Good morning dearest Na Ra." Sung Hoon greeted me with a happy tone. Although I could hear the worrying tone in his voice. "All the best for today." He continued. "Good morning to you too love. Thank you so much and I really can't wait to see you tonight." I replied as I focus on my driving.
Sung Hoon is my long term boyfriend since High School. Well he was my best friend and we took our relationship to the next level during College years. Sung Hoon is my senior by two years. He was the one who helped me out during my tough time in school. Lately I have been meeting less of Sung Hoon since he has been working up on the kidnapping and murdering cases. He is the chief detective in Seoul Police Department.
"Ah yes about tonight... listen baby. I really have to cancel it. Tonight we have to go to the crime scene that occurred last night." He sighed and I went silent for a moment. "Baby... Na Ra.. please don't be mad at me." I let out a heavy sigh.
"I'm not mad. It's just that, it has been almost a month since we met. Is the case really bad?" I asked as I tried to be very understanding because of his tough job. "It is really bad. I never see such gruesome murder cases before, Na Ra. It is giving me headache honestly." He sighed and paused for a while. "I've got to go. Stay safe alright. Have fun at work." And with that he ended the call.
Once I'm at work, I proceed to the receptionist counter to collect my work pass. "Proceed to the Human Resource office. Li Eun will be waiting for you." The receptionist said. I thanked her and proceed to the gantry. I tapped my card and once the light turned green, I walked pass it and head my way into the elevator.

I rushed into the elevator that is almost closed and pressed the 9th level. I was totally in a rush that I didn't realize I am the only lady in the elevator. Right next to me was a tall guy with sharp dragon like eyes. He looked straight, ignoring my gaze. My eyes slowly shifted and turn to look at the guy on my left. He is slightly shorter than the right guy and has a broad shoulder. I quickly look straight ahead until the elevator stopped and the door open. I walked out of the elevator and turn left to the Human Resources office. I was greeted by Li Eun, the HR of the company. She's wearing a black pantsuit and holding a clipboard and few plastic folders.
"Good Morning Ms Kim. Thank you for being early. For today I will simply brief you a little bit about the company, show you the departments and facilities in this company. Last but not least, I will take you to your office which is the last floor, next to the chairman office." Li Eun explained and I looked at her with a slight confusion.
"My office is next to the Chairman's?" I clarified again just in case I misheard it. "Yeah.. well here's the thing, our secretary just got fired so we need immediate replacement. Chairman picked you." She said and begin walking not allowing me to protest any further. This is totally not what I signed up for. "Don't worry about the salary. Chairman Jeon has tripled up the original income." She added.
After the half an hour briefing and touring around the building, Li Eun and I finally arrived at the last floor. It has a dark concept to it. The design and colours of this floor is totally different from the rest of the building. The walls are painted in grey and red. The door to the Chairman's office is black in colour with two red snakes as the door handle. I look around and look back at Li Eun.
"Chairman Jeon loves dark emo concept. Do not ask me why. He is just like that. Anyways, I will send someone up to assist you with your work. I have one more new employee arriving. If there is anything just ask. Stay here and do not go into the Chairman's office. He will be here in half an hour time." With that, Li Eun left me alone in this eerie looking level. I take a seat on the chair and continue looking around. This place is too quiet. I need distraction thus I quickly take out my phone to update Hyuna about my current situation.
Chills and shivers crawled up my skin while I was busy texting Hyuna. Out of no where I heard a loud shrilling scream coming from this level. It cause me to drop my phone on the floor. I bend down to pick up my phone that drop under the desk. As I look up after picking up my phone, I almost had a heart attack when out of sudden from no where a man in sharp black business suit stood in front of the counter. His large doe eyes is glaring at me. He narrows it and frowned slightly.

The Ginsu Mage
Currently in queue: Episode 13 in progress. Set in the Aurora: Apocalypse universe.Updated every Friday. If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. The Gunsu Mage is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his kitchen applicances, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense. Hell, don’t expect anything — just relax and let it happen.
