It felt like minutes... No, hours passed before any of you even made a sound. Before any of you moved. As always, you couldn't read him. He seemed angry, but that could also just be his face. Was he worried? Relieved? Happy? Sad?
No...
You had remembered what he had said. You even saw what he had said. He couldn't feel compassion towards you simply because he was insane... But that didn't mean he couldn't feel compassion to himself? You were here for him, so then it would make sense that he was happy to have you back, right?
All this weird and above all complicated thinking caused your head to hurt even more, yet you still didn't break any eye contact with the killer. You were reading him... But he was reading you. The dominant struggle of whom was first to break soon got interrupted when you realized the throbbing pain in your hand.
As soon as you moved the limb even an inch an immensely great pain had spread itself through your small frame, causing you to cringe a little. Then, without even so much as a warning, you heard Jeff's footsteps fading and the door slamming shut harshly.
You almost jumped up a little out of fright, afraid of the sudden sound in this silent hole. Confusion spread itself across your features as you stared at the door. A feeling you couldn't describe filled your body as your joy of being alive was taken over by a more dreaded feeling.
You had just survived... You had gone through this whole struggle in limbo, leaving your friends behind for the mere reason of living... And yet, when you were so determined nothing could even make you think of doubting yourself... He destroyed that wall so easily.
He only stared at you... But him leaving like that? What in the world was that for? You hadn't expected him to be extremely happy, hugging you and thanking whatever creature for returning you safely but... You didn't expect him to be this distant...
As if you didn't exist.
You gave a soft sigh, your hand going up to your head only to feel the soft fabric of bandages caressing your fingertips. You had been treated for your wounds... Your eyes then traveled towards your painful hand, surprised to see not only bandages covering them but also some sort of splint.
It was a simple, sort of home-made splint... But it helped keeping your fingers in place. What was wrong with it again? Oh... Yeah... Masky... The thought of those two bastards breaking their promise got you all fired up again. You didn't even care that he broke you hand, shattered it into thousands of pieces...
You cared about the fact that you were so helpless, unable to rescue any of your friends from their ill fate... While being promised that you could... Of course it was your own fault for trusting killers, for even thinking they would keep to their end of the bargain...
But you wanted it so badly.
However there was something other boiling inside of your body, something you didn't know. Lola said you had to go back because you had a purpose, something to fulfill... Whatever it was you were determined to figure that out. She would never send you back into this abusive place without a reason.
She wasn't like that.
You turned your head to stare out of the window. Your reflection told you enough about the state your body was in. You had lost more weight... If that was even possible. Your head and body were covered in bandages while your skin was extremely pale.

You had no idea how you'd managed to survive... Correction, how your body managed to survive. Was it thanks to Jeff? You knew he had rescued you from those wolves, his reason unknown... But someone also had to bind you up like this, treat your wounds... Even go through the trouble of making that splint...
Was that... Jeff's doing?
You were rudely interrupted from your thoughts by a pressure on the lower half of your body. You immediately knew what it was. You had to go to the toilet... Really bad... There were so many unfinished thoughts and question sneering through your mind... But you guessed that you'd have plenty of time to figure them out.
Right now the bathroom would be your first task.
You inhaled deeply as you casted your eyes onto the blanket. You could move your toes... Good, that's at least something. Grabbing the covers with your good hand and throwing them aside you stared at both of your legs. They were covered in bandages also, one of them even stained with dried up blood.
Cringing in disgust you raised your head, not wanting to look at them. Alright... How did you get those wounds again? Oh... Those wolves... You didn't really remember what exactly they had done to your legs, but you guessed it wouldn't be that bad...
Or at least, you hoped.
Slowly moving your legs you came to the conclusion that despite the fact your legs looked like shit... The wounds probably weren't that deep. Moving them faster proved to be a little more difficult, but you managed nonetheless.
You slowly threw your legs over the edge of the bed, giving a breath of relief before you concentrated again. Pushing you up with your good hand you slowly stood onto your two feet. You wobbled a little, almost as if you forgot how to walk.
Feeling like Bambi who was desperately trying to stand on ice, you had gripped the edge of the bed for support. When you were finally steady and standing straight you tried to take a step. You faltered a little, but managed to keep standing and continued on.
The door of the bathroom was your goal, your point of determination. Even if it was something so simple like walking towards the bathroom... Making it some sort of game had helped you. While not fully realizing it yet, you felt like had changed a little.
Something about you was different, something about the way you were thinking. You had done everything in order to get your friends out of here. Every thought went out to your friends... With them gone you were almost sure you would fall into the pit of darkness.
Having nothing to fight for, to keep you standing...
Yet right now, you felt stronger than you had felt in a long time.
You clenched your teeth while reaching out for the bathroom door. The pain indeed was quite a bit, but you weren't bothered to care. You only needed to pee right now. You shuffled over to the bathroom, feeling relieved as you reached for the doorknob.
Once inside you quickly headed towards the toilet, struggling with removing your panties without dragging along any of the bandages. You realized that your legs were covered in bandages, as well as your belly and shoulders...
You wore a simple, long T-shirt and your underwear... So someone must've not only tend to your wounds but also dressed and undressed you? Now the real problem wasn't that someone had seen you naked, but the fact that someone had tend to your wounds.

Would Jeff really be this fond of you to do all those things? To go through all those troubles? You didn't know, but thinking about it wouldn't give you any answer either. You were bound to speak to Jeff one day, bound to ask him at least about what had happened when you'd passed out.
If he comes back... You were surely going to talk to him. Whether he liked it or not.
When you were done peeing you tried to be as careful as possible. You were still a little bit dizzy, a little uncomfortable and unknown in your own body. You had grabbed the sink for support, glaring at your reflection for a few minutes.
Just like you had seen in the window, you were as ugly as anyone could be. Way too skinny, a pale and unhealthy skin, greasy hair and above all... Wounded, battered... But not broken. While looking in the mirror you couldn't help but to stare at your eyes.
They were... Different. Different like you had felt before... Not your eye color or anything... It was... The life in them... They seemed to sparkle more than they had? You slowly shook your head a little, trying to get rid of these confusion thoughts.
You had probably hit your head against something, still blurry thanks to whatever had happened to your body while you were unconscious. You walked away, shuffling towards the door slowly. You were trying to find words once you were going to talk to Jeff.
It felt so strange right now. You didn't know what you felt anymore. Your fear of him was slowly fading away, yet it was still there... But not of him himself, but more of his actions... Then again your hatred wasn't at its peak as well. You still disliked him but... You also... Felt something... Else?
What could that be?
Hope? Grudge? Sadness?
A feeling you couldn't describe, a feeling you couldn't recognize.
Why would you feel this way? What gave you reason to?
You continued on walking, deepened in your thoughts. Whatever had caused this sudden change, it wasn't affecting your view on this whole situation. You were still in this hellhole... Trying to get out... But this time with another purpose.
One you had to find.
Your hand clenched itself around the handle of the door, pushing it down and entering the room. To your surprise you saw someone standing at the back of the room. His back facing you, but the with blood stained white hoody already told you enough.
He didn't even turn around as he heard the door giving a soft squeak. Your feet shuffling over the floor slowly. You didn't dare to break your eyes off of his form, afraid that he would get away yet again. However it was then he suddenly turned around, facing you with his demanding aura.
"What were you doing?" Your eyes turned from focused to confusion as you stared at the killer. He crossed his arms, giving another one of those dangerous vibes. Your mouth opened slightly out of pure astonishment, almost certain your ears had betrayed you.
"I-I was taking a pee." You replied, way to amazed to speak properly. This wasn't only because it was the first thing he said to you after all you've been through... It was this situation took you back to when you first got here... Into a similar situation.
"You stupid fucking cunt, you're not supposed to walk yet. Are you that incredibly dumb?" You were taken aback by his sudden outburst. Surely you would never expect him to say something kind, but to be this angry just because you weren't supposed to walk?
What is this bullshit?
"What was I supposed to do? Pee in the bed?!"The whole 'talking calmly to him' disappeared as quickly as snow in the sun when he started to throw shit at you. Somehow this guy dragged the worst out of you and you had no idea how. You had gone through so much shit and yet here he is, only ten seconds together and he's already insulting you?!
What is his problem? Is HE the stupid one because he doesn't even remotely understand why you were going to the bathroom? Why is he making it this big of a deal anyway?
"You didn't learn anything did you? God you're so fucking annoying, by even hearing your voice I want to stab you." You still didn't understand why he was yelling at you for nothing, but you also became enraged. You didn't choose to live only to get scolded by Jeff. Heck, you hadn't even thought of Jeff while making that decision.
He should be thankful that you're still here... IF he even wants you to be here... But that doesn't make any sense now does it? If he wanted you death then he should've left you there. He should've let the wolves rip you apart limb for limb.
But he didn't. Instead he saved you...
He hated you, he abused you, he did whatever in his power to make your life a living hell, to bring you at the verge of death... But he saves you?! Before you even knew it, you spoke the words which were in your mind, the words which had haunted you the day you came here.
You knew that whatever answer he gave then wasn't the truth, wasn't how he really felt.
"Then why, if I'm this annoying, go through all this trouble just to keep me?!" You spat back, your with fire filled eyes matching his ones. For the first time ever, you saw something changing in his eyes. Something you hadn't seen before.
Whether it was shock or pure hatre-. No, you had seen that before... It was different. He was still staring at you. His face dangerous and scowling... But his eyes... His lidless, scary orbs were changing. Almost scared of the unknown, you took a step back, not sure what was coming to you.
Something in his whole aura changed. It was unfamiliar and also very scary. It wasn't like the usual hatred, the anger you had seen. It was even more sinister, yet deeper. You could almost see his eyes turning dark, filling themselves with disgust... And that unknown, scary thing.
Then, out of nowhere, Jeff started charging at you with all his might.

Ugh, there are so many things to explain but that can't do all in one chapter!
Anyway, here's the new chapter, finally some Jeff and reader actions... Even though it isn't really what you guys expected. I know, I'm awesome.
These past weeks have been so busy that writing slipped through my fingers each time again. Once I got the time for it I was constantly interrupted by people... But that shouldn't be a problem anymore. This also explains why I'm not much on Quotev, but that's nothing new.
The next update will be in between the 9 days and 2 weeks again.
Also, if this whole Quotev thing doesn't get fixed not only the editor will get kicked off of the balcony. I'll make sure of that.
Enjoy, don't hesitate to leave a comment or heart or whatever you like.
Stay awesome!
