Note:

This chapter contains vulgar language and spiritual themes, nothing written here can be interpreted as the ultimate truth! be prepared!

In the last chapter (Chapter 57, The ultimate decision) You could choose whether to go right towards the light or to go left towards the darkness. If you didn't choose just yet then go back to chapter 57 and choose.

If you did pick your decision then consider all of the above not written and go on with the story!

You were staring at the white ground, constantly being plagued by irrational and selfish thoughts. You wanted to walk towards the light, finally be freed from this unmistakable curse... But you couldn't. Everything in your mind screamed to accept it, to leave the whole world behind.

But you simply could not comply.

Your heart wanted you to go back, walk towards the darker portal and into your own life again. Why would you waste such opportunity? Why would you even want to go to the light whilst you're given the chance to live again?

Some people would've done anything for this decision you're given and you just throw it away like nothing.

No, that doesn't seem right. You knew what you had to do. You knew what you needed to do. Your head snapped towards the left, glaring nearly angrily at the dark portal before you took a deep breath. You were thinking this through, but what exactly was there to think about?

Do you want to live or do you want to die?

As you swallowed the lump in your throat you slowly took one step towards the darker portal. Each centimetre you came closer made you feel more aware, more in pain and more determined... Yet you felt more alive. It was as if you could feel your blood flowing again.

Feel your heart beating again, your skin throbbing and your feet colliding with the cold floor. Every step you took pulled you closer towards your living body, towards every pain and discomfort you had felt before you passed out.

Oh god... What had happened to your body? Did Jeff drag you back? All the way to the mansion to patch you up? No... You were in limbo meaning that you had died... Or maybe not... You couldn't just rise from the death could you?

Then what has become of you in the living world? Correction, what has become of your body? Was it really that bad, that mutilated? You were feeling anxious about this all, but you were constantly reminding yourself not to be overwhelmed by your doubt.

You were walking towards the darkness, towards your life. The dark surrounding did make you feel extremely uncomfortable but the more it engulfed you the more it looked like a dark tunnel. A dark tunnel with no end, or an end you couldn't see clearly.

Whatever it was with your discomfort also came your determination, the only thing keeping you walking. Why you were still walking this way was even to you a question. But you trusted Lola. You knew that she had more in store for you.

Your life, how rough, unfair and extremely painful it may be, had some meaning.

Whatever this meaning was had yet to come to mind, but you knew that it would come eventually. You knew that you weren't given this chance for no reason. You were a strong individual, strong enough to face death and turn the other way.

Strong enough to ignore the constant calling of heaven and replace it with the unsuitable and painful voice of the darkness which was life. Your hand had clenched itself into a fist as you kept walking in a slow pace. The tunnel still didn't seem to end and unable to fight the urge you took a glance over your shoulder.

At the end of the tunnel was light, the light representing limbo. You could turn back now, you still weren't there yet. No one would blame you, even Lola had said so herself. You then roughly shook your head, trying to snap out of it.

No!

You were going to walk further! You already made this decision for a reason and you were a damn coward to turn back now! Running away from responsibilities just because they don't fit your expectations was merely the thinking of scum.

You weren't a coward and you definitely weren't scum!

Quickening your pace you kept on walking, not even wanting to look back now. The anger, sadness, happiness, hope, determination, pain... love... They all returned to your body with each new step you took, each time you got closer to the end.

It felt good, it gave you a rush.

Eventually, further up ahead, you saw something. Something different than the darkness surrounding you. You knew what it was, where it would lead you. By now you were running, your feet felt like they were on fire as you shot over towards the end.

You were beginning to get more and more aware of your own breathing, but it wasn't like you had breathed before. You literally felt the oxygen filling your lungs, making its way into your body only to be carried around by your red blood cells.

The burning passion of living filled your every vein, sponsored your every movement. You felt your skin turning cold, your insides turning warm and your organs moving. Saliva returned to your mouth and you weren't even aware that you'd missed it.

A familiar and distressing pressure was felt onto one of your organs and you even had to think what it meant. Your blatter was full. Your forehead began to get covered with a warm, salty liquid, making its way over to your eyebrows into your hair.

Wind was felt on your cold skin and even the feeling of muscles protesting against your demands gave a smile to your face. Nothing could stop you as you kept running, closer and closer.

Your hand was already reaching out for the end, the picture portrayed there seen more clearly by your completely functional and watery eyes.

It was you.

Lying on a bed.

Your eyes were only focused on your own body. Your peacefully sleeping head which was covered in bandages.

You were almost there.

Nearly faltering over your own feet you recognized the feeling of fear again, of making a mistake. Your eyes never left the picture of your body, your feet running on their own command.

You were almost there.

A soft gasp escaped your throat as you swallowed the remaining saliva, both your eosophagus and trachea fighting in order to open, fighting over your larynx who had no idea which to support.

You were almost there.

Gathering all of your energy for the last remaining steps you gave out a yell of frustration, feeling your vocal cords being pressured, a feeling so familiar yet so unknown. You didn't slow down for one single second as you crashed against the picture with a heavy force, nearly faltering through it before your mind went black.

You were there.

~~

A loud gasp was heard as you felt your body jolting up, the oxygen filling your lungs and easing the pain. You were disorientated while trying to open your eyes. The whole world was spinning before you and your body felt as if it was heavily damaged.

Each move you made resulted into great pain, making your head spin even more. You felt gravity pulling at your back but somehow you kept straight up. Your hand slowly went over to your head, gripping it gently before your mind eased down a little.

After a few minutes you dared to try again and opened your eyes. The first thing you saw was that you were in a room, a room all too familiar for you. Somehow your eyes were immediately drawn to your side where, much to your own surprise, stood someone.

His lidless and almost angry orbs were fixed at you while his mouth was still smiling at you. And somehow... You felt relief.

Jeff.

Here you go, the decision chapter!

I know this isn't one of my usual decision chapters but I made this for a reason. I wanted the reader to choose what he or she would REALLY do, instead of just guessing. I know it sounds silly, because the reader would most likely choose to go on with the story but I wouldn't mind.

After all, you have to be a strong person to keep on going. To choose life over death. However choosing the afterlife isn't that weird either, believe me.

The reader must be representing the strong ones under us, the ones who will succeed... Or does she? The reader has taken every single blow to the head yet she still stands up, she still doesn't give in.

Does that remind you of anyone?

Life is full upside downs, some more than others. Everyone has gone through their own struggle, but you're still here aren't you? You're still reading this story while breathing. It doesn't matter of the downside was small or big, we're all still standing and living.

A secret decision we unconsciously have made for ourselves, a decision not seen but made anyway. We all got this decision the reader got, but not on the same circumstances. That doesn't mean the decision is different, it only means the stage is different.

That is all.

Next update will be in between the 9 and 14 days, but I hope sooner.

Leave a comment or heart. I'd appreciate it.

Stay awesome.
