"You're strong, (Y/N), you'll make it." Of course you should've known. Of course you recognized the voice. How could you possibly forget? This was the girl by whom it all started. Her actions and her family have caused this curse onto you...

Yet it didn't feel right to think that way.

Lola was your friend and you loved her with your whole heart. She was kind, cheerful and above all... She was your friend... You couldn't even think of blaming her for all this mess, not after what had happened to her. The voice hadn't answered your questions, but you knew it was her.

All the thoughts of before came washing back to you, all the sadness, misery and emptiness felt when Lola had died suddenly filled your body. This wasn't just some dream was it? Lola was really talking to you, was she? Were you hallucinating?

This whole time?

Every single second of every single day living with that monster you had thought of her, grieving for her soul and unfair death. The only ray of light was the thought of her being in heaven, in a place where she wouldn't need to go through the whole ordeal you were going through.

Was she even in heaven? Is Lola also in limbo because it wasn't her time?

"Lola..." You began, whispering her name breathlessly while thinking of what to say. You had so many thoughts, so many questions yet no one seemed to be making it to your lips. You had no idea what you were meant to feel right now:

Sadness, asking Lola for forgiveness for several things... Like never burying her body, being unable to save her... Telling those fools where the box was...

Happiness because now you could see Lola again, you could finally talk to her, hear her soothing voice telling you that it was all okay. That she indeed is in a better place.

Confusion because you had no idea what was going on. She was here... Yet you couldn't see her. You had a decision to make, but had no idea what the decision could be.

"Time is ticking by, (Y/N). There is not much left before it comes to get you." Her voice ripped you from your thoughts as you stared at nothing. What was coming to get you? What are you supposed to do now?

"What must I do?" Suddenly you felt your limbs getting heavy. The whole feeling of nothingness replaced itself with a heavier feeling... It replaced itself with a more human feeling. It wasn't entirely what you were used to, but it came closer than the 'floating around' feeling.

Your body moved onto its own accord, your feet heavier than your rump and head were, making you tumble forwards slightly. Afraid of what was about to come, you let out a loud gasp, trying to keep floating or whatever you were doing before.

Then you felt something hard underneath yourself, underneath your feet. You looked down, but you only saw whiteness. However this whiteness was solid, it was hard. Once your body completely stood stable on the white ground you looked around.

Everything seemed the same, though you could move into a random direction. However you weren't really sure of what the whole purpose of this all was. You were floating and now you're walking, but where to exactly? There is nothing there, except for pure whiteness.

"Hurry, (Y/N), I can't hold much longer." A small bell began to ring in your ear as you heard Lola speaking. Can't hold much longer? What was she meaning? You quickly turned, looking at every possible angle in order to catch a glimpse of the girl.

She was nowhere to be seen.

"Lola? I don't understand! Where must I go?" You spoke, your voice sounding louder and more desperate than it used to. You continued to search frantically, knowing secretly that you wouldn't find her here anywhere, but just the thought that for one time in your life you did everything you could to see her, would be easing your burning.

"It's your decision to make... But please... Think of what you must do... However know that whatever you'll choose, I'll be right behind you." The panic started to find its way into your body even more, feeding off of the fact that you were reaching for something you'd never reach.

Her voice... It was weaker than before... Softer. What was going on? What did she mean? ... Wait... She couldn't... No... Was she leaving you again? Was she going away...? For good this time?

"Lola?! No! Don't leave me again!" You nearly screamed, not wanting to be alone, not wanting to be left into this white mess without any direction to go to. You just didn't want to fight the demons yourself anymore. You wanted someone at your side.

"Remember, (Y/N), I'll always be with you...Hurry..." The voice started to fade with each word, getting louder, and then getting softer... Getting louder again before it turned softer and softer. As if she was whispering the last few words, giving up last of her energy.

"Lola! Please!" You yelled, finally the sadness and desperation taking over as the tears started to stream down your cheeks. However the only sound heard was your echo, taunting you, putting you in front of a mirror, seeing your own fragile and weak form.

You were breathing loudly, sobs escaping your throat from time to time as you were frozen to the ground. You didn't understand. You didn't understand at all. What decision? What time is there? Why is Lola gone now? Who will come for you?

Your heart felt as empty as this white space was. You had found your friend again; you could finally finish your business with her and ease your own pain... But then she was ripped away from you again. You didn't even have the chance to say you love her...

You shook your head, the tears falling freely as you tried to make any sense of this situation... Come on (Y/N), you've spilled too many tears already. Lola was talking about a decision... You had something to do but you literally had no idea what she was talking about.

Then you remembered. She wanted you to hurry. Her words exactly: "Time is ticking by, (Y/N). There is not much left before it comes to get you." Something was coming and Lola was preventing you from getting caught by it. Whatever it could be, you didn't want Lola's efforts to be in vain.

Biting your lip and clenching your fists you raised your head, trying to calm yourself down as you took one single step. Then another, and another. Soon you were walking, into a random direction. You knew that eventually you would be coming to were you would be.

At least you hoped so.

~~

You had no idea for how long you were walking, but it felt like an eternity. Each step you took reverberated through this empty space, making it sound as if something was following you. You glanced back from time to time but you saw nothing.

To be honest it felt as if you were walking in circles.

But who knows? You hadn't come across anything while walking. Nothing that could point to the decision you had to make. You began to feel slightly nervous. You had no idea what Lola was talking about when she mentioned 'it' coming for you, but you didn't want to find out.

Then what else could you do?

Suddenly a feeling of nausea overwhelmed you. Out of a reflex, your hand shot over towards your head, grabbing it tightly in order to ease the dizziness. It didn't work.

Instead you began to feel even dizzier, the whole white room was deforming, changing in shape as you tried your best to keep standing. Eventually you fell to your knees, clenching your head tightly and groaning in both pain and unease.

"Shh... (Y/N)... You'll be okay..." A voice was heard, a familiar and kind voice. Yet it seemed farther away than Lola's was, more to the distance. It wasn't her voice... But it did have a familiar tingle to it... Sandy?

"Come on, (Y/N)... You need to drink." You searched around for the cause of the voice but you knew that you wouldn't see it. It wasn't the voice of Sandy... It was different than that.

"Hello? Is someone there?" You tried, hoping to get some sort of a reaction from the voice, some sort of recognition. Yet it stayed completely empty, no person to be heard or to be seen. You swallowed the lump in your throat, still waiting for an answer.

"Good... These bandages... They're all bloody... I need to change them." The voice continued on speaking, yet it seemed vaguer... It seemed a little more to the distance. You raised both of your eyebrows, looking around in a futile attempt to get a glimpse of the voice.

However each time you slightly moved your head the dizziness returned.

"Hello?! Can you hear me?" You decided to yell again. What was going on? Was the voice ignoring you or... Maybe the voice couldn't hear you? But... How? Lola could hear you fine... Then how could this be? And more importantly, who does the voice belong to?

You tried to get up, hoping that it could help you figuring out all these questions. That and the constant urge for you to hurry. But as soon as you stood on two legs your head felt as if it would explode into a thousand tiny pieces. You sat down immediately.

"... What has happened to you, (Y/N)?" The voice seemed more of a whisper, but it wasn't because she was far away... Her tone was filled with concern, with pain... With... Motherly worry...

Rayne?

"Rayne! Is that you?! Where are you?!" You just blurred it out right away, your heart pumping on full speed as you finally recognized the voice of one of your best friends. You felt pained deep inside, pained that you were so scarred in your mind that you didn't even recognize her voice immediately.

What has happened to you?

"Rayne! Can you hear me?" There was nothing. No answer, not even a sound. You felt your heart pumping in your heart, giving you a fair amount of pain constantly. You had no idea what was going on... Again. Was Rayne dead? If so then why... What... How?

"I'm so glad to finally see you..." Rayne continued. It was then realization dawned upon you: she can't hear you. Somehow you're able to hear her, but she can't hear you... Then... Maybe she sees you? No... She was talking about bandages... About water...

She doesn't answer you; she'd probably doesn't even know you're here... Then why can you hear her? Or are you eve hearing her? Is this some strange trick your mind is playing on you? Does that explain the constant headache?

Your hand had clenched itself tightly around your head for as far as that could. It was as if you could hear whispers, as if voices were luring you, causing the extreme pain in your head. However these voices became softer and softer, dulling away and taking the pain with them slowly.

You were waiting for Rayne to talk again, to say anything but you her voice was gone. Slowly, but steadily, your headache began to fade away also, making you able to stand on your two feet slowly and give a loud sigh of relief.

Once completely standing without any trouble you asked yourself:

"What in the world was that?" Just as soon as you had spoken those words, something was heard from behind you. Out of a pure reflex, you turned around, both afraid and curious of what the sound might be. However you saw absolutely nothing, nothing but whiteness like always.

Still a bit curious, you raised your eyebrows, taking a step forwards and looking a little closer. There, further up ahead, you saw something. It didn't look like anything, just a black dot in the middle of a white surrounding. Taking another step while squinting your eyes, you saw that the black dot came closer and closer.

Getting bigger and bigger.

You took a step back, confused and both afraid of the dot which wasn't a dot anymore. It looked more like complete darkness, devouring the white space within seconds and growing more and more. It was then you noticed that the dot wasn't stopping with growing.

It became larger, bigger... Scarier. You took another step back, letting out a strangled gasp as you saw the darkness nearing and nearing. Standing here didn't seem like such a smart move. You turned around and bolted away, looking over your shoulder towards the big, black nothingness.

It was the same as the white however you actually preferred the white over the black one. You had no idea what would become of you when stepping inside that dark hole, but you surely didn't want to find out. Pushing your body to go even faster you ran for your dear life.

Even afraid of looking back again, you just kept running. Where to, you had no idea. Anywhere but away from the nearing blackness. Gathering some courage you dared to look back, only to see that the big, black nothingness was catching up to you.

Without any idea what this was supposed to mean you continued on to run, afraid of what would become of you when you would stop, or falter. Your breathing became heavy, but it didn't feel as if your body would stop moving anytime soon.

You didn't feel tired, dehydrated or anything.

You felt... Empty.

Whether it was the lack of emotions and feelings or your sheer determination, you kept on running. Not planning on getting devoured by the dark side. Though you started to feel a little powerless, a little hopeless. There was nothing here.

Were you planning to keep running?

Keep running the rest of your lifespan only to get hit by the darkness one time or another? Keep on fighting while you know that the fight can't be won? You started to slow down a little, thinking about all these efforts you've made. About Lola and all the others...

Was this really worth it?

However when you were about to dig further into it you faltered over your own feet. Your focused being somewhere else caused you to forget about watching your own feet and you smacked onto the ground with a harsh slam.

You didn't hesitate and turned around, facing the grave darkness with fear in your eyes as it reached closer and closer... But, when it was almost at your fragile body, devouring you and every light in your soul...

The blackness suddenly dissolved into nothing, fading away quickly and only leaving you in the whiteness.

"... What the-?"

I'm so happy my laptop is finally back, my ultimate thanks to all the people who wished me well. I was so afraid that I would've lost tons of things! Luckily it wasn't the case but repairing my laptop took quite long so... Here you go!

And yet, after everything I've written and told you guys... There are STILL people who just fail to use common sense. My god, how can you read a story yet are unable to read an author's note and activity? If there is one thing I can not handle it is stupidity!

I can go on about this, but I won't do it in this author's note.

Anyway regarding the story:

If you think it's taking too long then you certainly haven't read enough books.

I'm even thinking of writing a explanation book after the story is done on each chapter so to understand certain hidden topics and things since I get a lot of questions about that. No problem to ask questions about it though, I'm happy to answer them.

The next update will come in between the 7 and 14 days because I feel like it. Remember it's a decision chapter!

Also the One-Shot of Eyeless Jack will be up in a few hours, so be prepared!

Have a nice day, don't hesitate to leave a comment or feedback.

Stay awesome.
