Your eyes widened immediately, breathing becoming heavy as you searched around for the cause of the sound. You couldn't see it anyway, but it almost felt as a reflex. That voice... You recognized it out of a hundred thousand voices.
Your hand now roughly slid over the wall, still hoping that your mind and memory didn't fail you this time. It couldn't be, there was no mistake. Even in your darkest nightmares you would recognize it correctly.
You then found a little swift on the wall and you had no idea how fast you had to press it, how fast you were able to confirm your suspicions. No, it weren't suspicions anymore. It were facts. You knew who was in this room.
It had to be.
The light immediately flickered on, causing you to cover your eyes out of a reflex but then trying to open them and make them recover as soon as possible. You had to know, you needed to know. A soft grunt and gasp was heard as you finally were able to focus correctly.
There she sat.
There sat the one person you had missed so freaking much. There sat the person who kept you alive, who kept you fighting and above all the person who kept you sane this entire ordeal of horror.
Under the cover of blood, dirt and other things sat none other than your friend.
Sandy.
Your mouth opened itself without you doing anything, your whole body felt as if it was glued to the ground, unable to make one step towards the young girl. You could only stare, stare at what she had become but above all stare at her living body.
You saw how she slowly opened her eyes, cowering in fear of who was going inside to abuse her again. However when she locked gazes with you her green eyes immediately lit up and a gasp of surprise escaped her throat.

"Y-Y/N?" She stuttered, her voice incredibly weak, matching the state her body was in. You couldn't believe it. You just couldn't believe that after all you had gone through, after all you had seen, that she was sitting right in front of you.
Alive.
Sure you had kept hope all this time, praying to the god above that your friends would be unharmed. But after what had happened to Lola, a voice in your head told you to let go of that hope, to let go o everything because it was merely a fantasy.
Well, it was not.
Without saying anything you stormed at the girl. Your eyes still focused on hers; afraid that once you break contact she will disappear. You nearly crashed down into her weak arms as you embraced her into a tight hug. She didn't hesitate and wrapped her arms around you as well.
You couldn't describe what you felt right now. The only thing that mattered was that Sandy was alive, that you were holding her, feeling her close to you right now. You had dug your nose into her dirty hair, sniffing the scent which was so familiar.
You were happy... No, you felt euphoric.
Sandy was still alive!
"Oh, Y/N!" You heard her mumble, her voice cracking and breaking. You couldn't hold it back anymore as an explosion of emotions crashed right through your façade of apathy. The tears of sadness, the tears of happiness and the tears of relief rolled down your cheeks, as you held her sobbing body in your arms.
You heard a door slamming shut, but you couldn't care. You had totally forgotten about Jeff once you had heard that voice, you didn't even notice he wasn't here anymore. You only cared about your friend being here.
You had missed her every single day and you feared of what she had become. Thoughts of her being dead like Lola was flashed through your mind each time you went to bed, each time you even thought about your friends. But here she is.

"Sandy..." You whispered softly after minutes of sobbing in each other's arms. You pulled away, getting a closer look at her face. She had lost so much weight and you could see that she barely got any sleep. Her whole body was covered in blood and dirt, yet she seemed unharmed.
"Sandy..." You wanted to ask so much; you had so many questions lingering in your mind. You wanted to know what had happened to her, you wanted to know what she knew. You wanted to know how she got here... But you couldn't ask them yet.
"Are you okay?" Was the only thing coming out of your mouth. Maybe this was the most important question out of them all. She smiled a sad smile at you before slowly nodding, replying:
"Much better now that I can see you." You could only smile at this, the tears slowly starting to form again only by looking at the girl. You had missed her so much. You were so freaking scared for her and your own life. But more crying would only waste time.
You had to talk to her; you had to find out what happened and above all what she knew about all this. Maybe she was in the same situation as you were? No, that couldn't be she was looking even worse than you were. What did she know about Lola...?
Oh god, does she even know that Lola is dead? You had to tell and ask her so much but there was so little time, you knew that damn well. The most important questions had to be asked first.
You needed to know the truth.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
I'm very sorry for the incredible short chapter, I know it's not my style. But tomorrow early in the morning, I'm going on vacation and I seriously had a really busy week. However I know that I had promised an update, so here you guys got one and at least you now know who the voice is. I kept my promise.
Even though it's a short chapter, it's not a rushed one. I mostly write chapters spread over a whole week, sometimes only a few sentences a day and sometimes two pages. I didn't have time to write more so it is an unfinished chapter, yes, but it's still a chapter :D.
Anyway this is the last chapter before I'm off for at least three whole weeks. I'm not good at writing on a vacation and it's not a relaxing vacation either, so I won't have time to write anyway. What I'm trying to say with all this is that my deadline for the next update, will be in 4,5 whole weeks starting tomorrow. So the 22th of August (European time) is the deadline for the next update. If not, I will inform you guys about it.
I'll be inactive during this time.
All by all I also want to apologize for not replying to all those lovely messages or comments. Once I come back from my vacation I will reply to all of them. I won't come online but do not hesitate to leave me a comment or message, I don't mind at all!
I hope I informed you darlings enough and I see you all in a few weeks. Do not hesitate to leave a comment, feedback or even critic. I'll be gone for a while but I'll reply to them eventually.
I hope you enjoyed and stay awesome.

Is It Too Late To Move My Lair?
A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I do while writing it… THE STORY IS NOT DROPPED, JUST SLOW ON THE UPDATES. Cover art by Nane, aka me. (Cross-posted on Scribble Hub.)
