Once both of you had finally returned to Jeff's room he immediately closed the door and then stared at you expectantly, crossing his arms while his eyes spat fire. Once you had set foot in his room you felt safer than you had felt in a long time.
Even though he was here, even though Jeff was really angry at you now. He hadn't spoken to you the whole way after he had found you. He didn't even glance back at you to see whether you were still following him. You knew he was angry and you had expected him to be.
But then again this whole situation wasn't your fault, it wasn't your choice to go to Masky and Hoodie, it wasn't your choice for Jeff to leave you with them and it above all wasn't your choice to be chased by some other psychopathic cannibal killer.
This thought made you angry. Jeff was constantly trying to blame you for everything that has happened. He fueled your anger and hatred more and more and then when you would explode, he would punish you. You were so done with his behaviour!
However the only thing which kept you from lashing out at him was your fear. Of course you knew what he could do, you felt it yourself... But that wasn't only it. Most of the other killers do mock him, taunt him... But they all keep their distance.
Even the blue masked killer, who was willing to follow you to the end of the world, simply let it slide with merely a warning. You never really saw Jeff in action and you never really saw what he did when he was out doing his 'hobby'.
You knew that he was dangerous and that you should be scared of him.
But this fear began to melt away little by little. You remembered how afraid you were of him in the beginning, how scary it was to have to hide for him and hit him on the head with a poker... But every time you did something stupid, something rash...
He would only yell at you, sometimes use physical abuse, but it wasn't as bad as you expected it to be. He still endured all the shit from you just to keep you around. This thought only gave you more courage to actually speak up to him, but you knew that it had to be the right time.
You turned to face Jeff, waiting for him to spit fire and lash out at you for again being stupid. But you were ready this time, you were going to tell him how it really started and that this all wasn't your fault.
"Care to explain why E.J. was following you?!" He growled impatiently, his foot tapping against the cold floor while waiting for a response. When you were walking towards the room you had thought your answers over and over again. What would sound the most believable?
Of course you knew what would sound the most believable. The truth. That would not only sound the most believable, but it was also what really happened. Why lie about it? Because you're scared what Jeff might think about it? Scared that the choices you've made then weren't the right ones?
No, you had to tell him the truth regardless of what had happened. You're safe now.

"When you were gone Masky and Hoodie asked me about a code for that box... I didn't know it so they almost immediately let me go. It was then I tried to find my way back and... I was followed." You spoke as calmly as possible, in order not to anger Jeff any more.
"Why didn't you stay with them?" His voice was a little softer than before, but still full of resentment towards you. His eyes were locked on yours as you kept silent for a little while, thinking it over again. Yeah, why didn't you stay again? Oh yeah because they would probably kill you if you did.
"They didn't want me to stay. They would kill me." You again replied to him as calmly as possible, trying to read his every movement. Jeff gave a loud and annoyed sigh before he started to pace around the room. You could see he didn't like that answer.
"You stupid girl! Of course they won't kill you! You're needed for that code, did that ever ring through? They wouldn't kill you that easily without thinking about it." You could slap yourself for not thinking about this earlier. They needed you, because you might know about the code... But you didn't know it...
Even though they gave you three days to think about it, who would say that you knew the code by then? Also you weren't the only one who could possibly know something about the code. Your other friends are still alive... At least if you had to trust Jeff's words. They might know something about the code?
For all you knew Sandy was closer to Lola than you was, even though you've been friends for years.
"They would kill me, Jeff. I'm not the only one who can crack the code. What else was I supposed to do?" You tried your best to stay calm again, but you couldn't really maintain your temper. You felt anger boiling inside of your stomach; you also felt other emotions which you couldn't place yet.
This all wasn't because of what Jeff had said, it wasn't because Jeff had mocked you, called you stupid or anything like that. This was a whole different kind of anger instead of the fury hatred you felt towards the smiley killer.
No, this was desperation anger. It was because thanks to his questions the anger and above all the fear came back up. The fear felt when you were all alone in that dark corridor, contemplating what to do while you slowly came to the realization that you didn't have a choice.
The fear felt when the door you thought was right didn't open up, the fear felt when your hope slowly washed away and you knew death was reaching out for you.
Jeff stopped pacing around the room, his with rage filled eyes turned towards you. It had sent shivers down your spine every time he looked at you that way; you grew more and more scared of him when he would be angry like this... But now you had the courage to stare back at him, to face him.
Just by looking him into his eyes your fury returned. He was the man who took everything away from you, who made you do things you wouldn't even do in nightmares. You had just gone through a very rough, dangerous and almost fatal encounter and he was again mad at you for not having a choice.

Why in the world did you deserve this kind of treatment?
You felt the tears slowly starting to sting in your eyes as you only kept your gaze focused on his lidless orbs. You expected him to mock you for it, expected him to chuckle and call you an idiot for showing any of your emotions. But he only stared at you.
You tried to calm your own breathing, raging heartbeat and emotions but it proved to be a little harder than thought. You now knew that you hadn't had the chance to feel relieved after the attack, that you never got the chance to get angry.
"I was scared, Jeff." It came out as a desperate whisper. You slowly backed down until your kneeholes had hit the edge of the bed. You sat down and buried your hands in your head. You couldn't really care about Jeff anymore; you couldn't really care about showing your weaknesses.
You could only care about yourself and the situation you were in now.
You missed your family, you missed your friends and above all you missed your old life. The shock from when you were chased finally found a way out as your tears started to stain your cheeks and hands. You had no idea why, from all of the people, you had to be in this situation.
What did you do wrong? You always tried to be as nice as possible for other people; you never killed anyone and were at least not the worst person on the earth. That you were certain of.
You heard footsteps coming closer, but you were too preoccupied with yourself and your feelings to even notice the footsteps stopping close to you. The weight on the bed shifted a little before you felt a hand placing itself on your shoulder, squeezing rather roughly but somehow awkwardly comforting.
"Why are you crying?" Jeff spoke rather coldly, more a condemnation than a question. You only shook your head, trying to maintain your held up anger inside of you before you replied rather snarky:
"Isn't that obvious?" You really wanted to yell at him for this. You were obviously totally done with this all. You were scared for your life constantly, you were extremely exhausted and this all took its toll on your body and mind.
Is he that stupid that he can't see it?
"I don't know, I wouldn't have asked if it was." You felt the hand squeezing even harder, almost to the point that it was really hurting you. You knew he was losing patience too. The way he had said it only threw more oil on the fire, and you tried to shake his hand off and get out of his steel grip.
"That's the problem! You don't know or feel anything! You only get angry and blame it all on me!" You now spat back at him, immediately jumping up and getting as far away from him as possible. You couldn't even look at him right now.
"Well maybe that's because I'm a fucking killer, Y/N! I kill people for fun; you are here for my fun! You think that even when I try that I can somehow feel any sympathy? That's a fairytale. You need to get out of that fantasy world of yours. You're here now, whether you like it or not!"
You were extremely taken aback by Jeff crazy outburst. He had never screamed or yelled at you with such rage, with such a dark tone. It again scared you to the bone as your still red eyes focused on the male standing next to the bed.
You saw him panting from anger and this time you didn't dare to look him into his eyes. You were still angry, but you also felt confused and scared. You heard his combat boots clashing against the ground roughly, and you backed away against the wall immediately.
However your fear of getting hit and abused again soon washed away as you saw him walking over to the door. He opened it angrily, giving you one last glance before he stomped out of the door, slamming it shut behind him with a loud 'bang'.
He didn't even say anything to you. However you couldn't care less about that. You were still standing there with stained cheeks, welled up anger and all the other emotions racing through you body.
You felt your legs getting weak and you slid down the wall to the ground. Now, when he was gone you actually felt how tired you really were. You were completely done, exhausted. All these spilled tears, all these emotions... It was too much to handle right now.
You wanted to cry, you wanted to scream out of anger, and you wanted to cower in fear, anything to let it out. You wanted to sleep and never wake up.
You wanted to be dead.
You then pulled your knees up to your chest as you rested your head on them. The shiny tears came almost immediately as you sobbed quietly. You didn't know what else to do anymore.
So you continued to drown in your own pity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took me quite long, mostly because I'm still in the middle of my exams before the summer vacation. As much as I love to write for Taken, my school goes first and these exams are really important. That's why this chapter isn't really that spectacular and that's why my next update will come in between the 4 and 9 days again.
Remember, impatience only causes stress and creates rebelliousness. Rome wasn't build in one day either.
Also people keep asking me to make Jeff a little nicer for the reader and don't understand why he is so 'mean'. Well, even though it's an X reader, love doesn't come easy. Even if Jeff would feel something for the reader, he wouldn't show it like normal people do and also the Reader (you) doesn't really like him on this point either. I can guarantee that some sort of love or affection will come eventually, however it won't come in the form of cuddling and sloppy kisses. We still have many, many chapters ahead of us, so don't worry. It'll come eventually but first the reader herself must go through her own shit.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter, do not hesitate to leave a comment, feedback or even criticism. I'll try to reply to them all, as soon as possible!
Stay awesome.
