You were lying in the old and uncomfortable bed as your eyes were fixed on the ceiling. The little draft coming from the open window caused goosebumps to rise on your skin, but you couldn't cover yourself up even more.
Jeff was lying next to you in his full glory, his back facing and his body taking in the little space you had left on the bed. His hands had clamped themselves around the sheets like a child would do with its teddy bear. The little sheet there was left covered your lower private parts up to your chest.
You hated being naked, but above hated being naked in the same bed as a psychotic killer. The talk didn't end well aside from you getting a few answers out of it. You had no idea why he even answered those questions... But you figured that once those questions got a little more steamy, once the ground underneath him became too hot, that it was why he would suddenly come on to you like that.
Or maybe there was some other reason.
You just hoped it had nothing to do with the fact that you were angry, otherwise you really had to watch your back. You gave a loud sigh as you tried to turn without touching Jeff. You really wanted some alone time right now, but you figured you couldn't be alone.
He would always follow you everywhere you would go. You slowly sat up, looking back at Jeff cautiously, who was sleeping soundly with a smirk plastered on his face. He had gone all out on you tonight after the 'talk'. It was disgusting, you felt disgusting...
However there was one tiny sparkle which would light up your mind every time darkness threatened to take over. The thought which kept you running, the thought which made you move forward and push through this mess.
Your
According to Jeff they are alive because they're needed for information. Even though you already got the box... He didn't say anything else about it, so they still had to be somewhere inside this mansion! Your head snapped towards Jeff who moved slightly, murmuring something in his sleep before his steady breathing was the only sound left in the room.
Good it looked like as if he was fast asleep. Your head snapped towards the door and then towards the small side table next to the bed. Jeff had been so engulfed within his own lust that he totally forgot about the key lying on the side table, completely unguarded.
You knew it was a stupid idea to even set foot outside this room, even trying would result in great pain and tears. But you didn't want to stay here any longer than necessary. You knew that this was your chance, that you would never get another chance like this again.
Your friends were still alive right now, you had to see them, you had to inform them and somehow make your escape. 5 girls are no match for a few killers, right?

You felt so stupid for even daring to think that again. It had happened the first time with that monochrome clown and Jeff; they took those girls without even breaking sweat. And that was when you and your friends were in a good state.
Now you had no idea what to come across. Were they well fed? Were they being abused or tortured? You had no idea but you wanted to see them, you wanted to hold them and tell them how much they mean to you before it would be too late. Before any of them would turn out to be a case of Lola...
You would do this for Lola.
You slowly stepped out of the bed, each noise created made you snap your head towards Jeff to see whether he was still sleeping. In the beginning when you came here you wouldn't dare to do something like this, you weren't that bold.
But after all these things he had done to you, he had shown you, you had become nearly heartless towards the killer. You were scared of him, but at the same time looking at him made all the inside anger crawling out and wanting to be released.
You guessed this was how it felt to actually hate a person, that this was the feeling when you just absolutely could not stand someone. It was different from the hate you had towards Kaitlynn or any other mean person. You slowly walked over to the door, searching on the ground for your panties and something to cover yourself up.
Jeff hated when you did that but who cares? He would hate you for doing what you were about to do even more. However before you would dress yourself you slowly tip toed over to the side table next to the bed. Getting the key was number one on the list of your plan.
When you felt the small object in your hand you quickly clenched it tightly and then proceeded to search for clothes. However you froze in place when you heard shuffling, your breath got stuck in your windpipe as you didn't dare to turn your head.
"What are you doing out of bed?" You heard a raspy voice speaking and right from that moment the whole plan shattered in front of your eyes. Your mind raced with thoughts as you thought of a good excuse to be out of bed, but considering that even going to the toilet was a no go without Jeff's permission you figured that no excuse would be good enough.
You slowly turned around, facing him as you kept the key behind your back. You swallowed the lump in your throat as you decided what excuse to tell him. Telling the truth was bound to end up wrong.
"I heard rustling coming from the bathroom." Instead of the sarcastic chuckle or the fiery anger you expected him to have, he suddenly sat up straight. His lidless orbs focused on the door of the bathroom and you almost saw his ears twitching in order to hear.

His expression and behaviour almost scared you, as if it was really possible that someone could be in that bathroom other than you or Jeff. That was what scared you most. You had never seen Jeff so focused before on something which wasn't there. Is it really possible that anyone could enter this room without Jeff noticing?
After a while of eerie silence, Jeff let out a loud and almost annoyed sigh as he fell back into the mattress. You immediately sighed too, out of a reflex. The tension in the air seemed to thin out as your heart slowed down as well.
"It was probably some rats, just come back to bed." He almost sneered, but he didn't scream or yell at you for stepping out of the bed without his permission. At least, this wasn't at all like last time. You had no idea why Jeff would even act like that, why he would explode at you the first time and now he dismissed it like it was nothing.
You didn't complain though, you'd rather have this than the outburst of last time. You guessed your last 'game' had really set his mood. You didn't hesitate for a second and immediately obeyed; you got what you wanted after all.
You had no idea how quickly you had to scurry over to the other side of the bed, the key still secured out of view as you saw Jeff's sideways glance following your every movement. You then lay down, turning your back towards Jeff as you tried to steady your breathing.
He didn't see it, right?
You suddenly felt fabric thrown in an annoyed matter on your naked body. You silently thanked Jeff for the somewhat considerate behaviour he was displaying as you could only think of the opportunities this key would give you.
Tomorrow you would finally see your friends...
Of course you knew this wouldn't be an easy task. Even when Jeff would be gone to do his 'hobby' the mansion still wouldn't be empty. You could encounter any other psychopath living here once you set one foot out of the safety of this room.
Not only that but you had to consider the fact that those girls wouldn't be in a very good condition and that escaping was bound to go wrong... Still only seeing them would be enough for you, to be able to hold them and give them the support they deserve...
You had to do this; you would go through with this or die trying. If Jeff would know about this you would surely be beaten through the whole room. You silently turned your head a little to look at the smiley-killer. He was already snoring loudly, his back facing you.
You slowly mustered up the courage and kept motivating yourself to go outside once Jeff would be gone in the morning. You knew that he could be gone for an hour, or sometimes even three. It depended on his mood. It didn't matter anyway; you were ready to face the obstacles to get to your friends.
Oh, you were more than ready for it.
~~
The next morning came soon even though you didn't sleep very well, or didn't sleep at all. You were too tensioned, too excited and fearful of having this key in your hands. You didn't really think this through actually. You were so engulfed within your own desires that your clear mind failed you.
If Jeff would lock that door then he would need this key. He can't lock the door when he doesn't have the key. He'll either forget about it and won't lock the door, but that will result in you not even needing this key. Or he won't be able to lock this door and end up searching for the key until it is found.
Again, you've let your childish thinking overpower your sense of reality. Seriously, escaping? That was impossible here, even with the key! Nothing could be that simple as your mind had displayed!
However he could have a spare key lying somewhere in this room... maybe he would use that one? But does he even have one? Argh, sometimes you wanted to slap yourself for not thinking things through.
Jeff was gone now; no he wasn't out doing his hobby. He was downstairs, taking care of his business and obviously not minding the fact that you were here unguarded. Then again, he still was in the mansion so if you even dared to take one step outside of this room, he would've noticed.
You were actually glad that he didn't even look at you when getting up. He didn't notice you lying there with the key tightly clenched into your delicate hands. He only dressed himself quickly before he had walked out of the door. Now was your chance: you could keep the key or put it back down where you got it.
Putting it down may be a better idea... But then again you're being robbed of probably the only opportunity of ever getting to see your friends again.
But keeping the key was bound to end badly. If Jeff would see you with it he would with no doubt get super angry at you. Also if you run into someone and fail to... No, let's not think about that.
Right when you wanted to make your decision the door swung open.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This chapter is a little lame, but the next one will be a decision chapter! However it will be different from all the other decision chapter, because you have to choose first and later on the decision will take it's toll. It may not make any sense right now but you'll get it.
Still thank you all for the patience, nice comments and follows. It means a lot to me.
Do not hesitate to leave comments, hearts, feedback, follows, a turd or even critic! It means a lot to me.
Hope you enjoyed and stay awesome!
Medley of Fates Worse than Death
Rick wakes up in a world unknown to him. He doesn't know what exactly happened or why he is there, he just feels he's not from that world as if he had Dissociative amnesia. Soon after waking up, he gets attacked not once, not twice but three times in a single day. Our hero can know how strong enemies are thanks to a special ability of his, but the thing is... What good does it do to know just how weak you are compared to a deadly creature chasing you? This is a LitRPG Fantasy Adventure in which battles are won (or lost) with strategy and wits as our protagonists aren't necessarily the strongest... So if you enjoy more strategic battles I think you will love this story!About the chapters: I will post mostly 1,300 or so word chapters, I love weekly manga and feel like that pacing is similar to the one in a weekly serial chapter, hopefully, you enjoy these chunk-sized chapters :) I only do this for fun in my free time so I think I will probably post a chapter a week, but if my patreon ever gets busy I might put more time into my hobby xD If you feel like checking out some of the newest chapters, I have them over on my Patreon (Currently 5 chapters in advance): www.patreon.com/rija Extra info (Might get spoilery): As the story progresses I intend to add more strategy, politics and economics into the story, but it will still be mostly a LitRpg action-adventure. (Also if you had read my synopsis previously I changed it a bit because the elements I mentioned before in the synopsis won't come into play until much later into the story, and that's why I changed it.)
