Gabriel returned to his home. He had been flying around most of the day looking for Cali, and Rosy. Where the hell could they be? He was terrified that someone had abducted them, or maybe they were actually able to get away. He couldn't, he just couldn't lose his songbird or his sister. He loved them both too much. Yet deep down he knew is was all his fault. He shouldn't have gone ahead with his plan, he should have just let the bastard rot in jail. A thinking person might have done that, but the beast inside him just couldn't let it go.

All of a sudden, his phone rang. Maybe Anton, or some of his other guards, had found them? However, the number that flashed on screen was from an unknown caller. Who the hell could this be? He wondered. Normally he wouldn't bother to answer such a call. But with Cali, and Rosy missing, he couldn't just ignore any possible leads.

"Hello!" Gabriel answered his phone.

"Hello Gabriel." The person on the other end replied in a smug tone.

"Anton?" Gabriel inquired. He was taken aback by Anton's attitude. Not only that, but he had never called him Gabriel before, he always referred to him as Mr. Esposito. But he decided to let it slide, this time. All he cared about was finding his sister, and his songbird. "Why are you calling me from an unknown number?"

"Because I don't want you to be able to track me." Anton told him. "I don't want you to find me. Well, at least not yet."

"Anton!" Gabriel growled. "I am in no mood for games right now!"

"Oh I'm sure you're not." Said Anton. "But we're going to play one anyway. See, I found what your looking for, they are now in my possession. And if you don't want anything bad to happen to your pretty little songbird, or the spoiled little mafia princess, then you will do exactly as I say."

"What the fuck are you talking about?" Gabriel angrily exclaimed. "Why would you betray me like this? So help me Anton, if you harm either one of them you motherfucker, I'll—!"

"You'll what?" Anton snapped back at him. "If you want to see either one of them alive again, you will do exactly as I tell you! And by the way, there's much more at stake now. That surprise news, that Cali was going to share with you—she's pregnant. Congratulations, it's a girl!"

"What?" Gabriel exclaimed, completely shocked by what Anton had just informed him.

"I believe you heard me the first time." Anton replied. "So keep in mind. It's not just the two most important women in your life, whose lives are hanging in the balance, it's three!"

"What do you want?" Gabriel cried as he began to panic. "I'll do whatever you ask. I just want them back safe, and sound."

"Is that the great, and terrible, Gabriel Esposito begging me over the phone?" Anton with sarcasm in his voice. "My you do sound pathetic! I will send a message in one hour. One that will remind you, just how serious I really am. I suggest you get home, as soon as possible. After all, you wouldn't want to miss it. Oh, and don't call the police. Even though you do seem to own them, I know you're not that stupid."

With that, Gabriel heard the phone click. Hot tears began to run down his face, as he began to seethe with rage. How could he be so stupid? His songbird was coming to tell him that she was pregnant. But he not only robbed her of that joy, he did it by showing her what a true monster he actually was.

"ANTON!" He cried out in anger. It took all of his restrained not to just smash his phone on the ground. But anger, and not thinking clearly was what got him into this mess. His anger, and his desire for vengeance might have ended up costing him the love of his love, his sister, and his unborn daughter. He couldn't let that happen, he had to save them. Gabriel was determined to do whatever ever he had to do. He loved them so much, he would gladly die for them, or even more difficult—let them go.

Anton began to laugh as he hung up his phone. He had waited a long time for this. Gabriel falling in love, and getting his beloved pregnant. Gabriel was now be mentally weakened, and vulnerable. It was going to make it so much easier to overthrow him. But at the same time, Anton knew not to get too cocky. Gabriel wasn't stupid, and he likely knew that he planned on killing Gabriel.

As Anton walked to the room holding Cali, he smiled just thinking about how she now belonged to him. It was easy to see why Gabriel had fallen in love with her. As he unlocked and opened the door, he looked at the sleeping beauty. There was something rare about her, an inner light. It always shone through, even as she slept.

He felt bad, about having to chloroform her. But she wasn't going leave with him peacefully, there was no alternative. Anton also didn't like the fact that her wrists had to be chained to the bed. Slowly he walked over to her, and gently ran his fingers over her soft warm cheek. "You are so beautiful." He whispered.

She started to stir a bit, as she made slight noises that signaled that she was starting to wake. Her eyes began to flutter, as they slowly began to open. She had a confused look upon her face as she seemed to be noticing her restraints. Then her eyes widened in fear, and she gasped as she stared back at him, right into his very soul.

"Don't be afraid." He told her, trying to reassure her. He knew that she hated him at this moment, but he still was going to try to let her know that he had no intention of hurting her. Though he knew she wouldn't believe him.

"Where's Rosy?" She cried, as tear came streaming shown her cheeks. Anton couldn't help but smile. Of course a woman with an angelic soul like hers would put others first, even a spoiled brat like Rosalina.

"She's safe for now." He told her. "As long as Gabriel is cooperative. But please don't be afraid of me, I promise that I am not going to harm you."

"I don't believe you!" She cried. "Now what are you going to do to us? To my baby?"

"Victor wants Rosy." Anton told her. "Maybe he wants to sell her, the beautiful daughter of Antonio Esposito could fetch a high price. Then again he may just keep her as his own personal whore, or maybe even take her as his wife. To be honest, I really don't give a damn about her. She was always a spoiled little brat who never appreciated what she had. But you my dear are special. Gabriel wasn't the only one who became enchanted by your siren song that day."

"You?" She exclaimed.

"Correct my dear." He told her. "When he had asked me to escort you back to the airport, I had no intentions of doing that. I had planned on kidnapping you and keeping you for myself. But your loyalty to your uncle got in the way. It doesn't matter, because I have you now. Once Gabriel hands his empire over to me, you'll still be queen. But you will be by my side, not his."

"Your crazy!" She cried. "Why do you want to betray Gabriel like that, and what so damn special about me? And why would you even think that I would want to be with you?"

"The Esposito empire has always rightfully belonged to me!" He exclaimed. "As for you being my loyal wife, you're not going to have much of a choice. Not if you value the life of your child. if you are a good wife to me, I will be a good father to her. But if you become difficult, well, I can't guarantee she'll have a good life. You know what it's like to grow up in an abusive environment. It'll be up to you. Do you want her to have a happy life, or a horrible one?"

"Why are you doing this?" She asked as she continued to cry.

"Do you know what an enchantress is?" He asked.

"What?" She asked as she furrowed her brow in a look of confusion.

"You see a long time ago, they're were many mythical creatures." He explained. "Not just gargoyles. Eventually over time these mythical beings mated with humans. But unlike gargoyles, in these cases the human DNA was dominant. It is the reason why gargoyle lasted as long as they did. Eventually, beings like Sirens were bred into extinction. And yet, they still have the ability to enchant men with their singing. But like you, most don't even realize it. But if you know about them, you can always tell. Like you they have an inner light, an inner beauty. My mother was also an enchantress, that's how my father came to love her as much as he did."

"I have no idea what you are talking about!" She exclaimed as she trembled in fear. She was crying, and he wanted nothing more that to comfort her, but he knew she wasn't ready to receive it.

"Please don't cry, my pretty little siren." He stated softly, as he hoped he could reassure her. "Let me explained. Maybe this will help you understand. Did you ever find out what happened to Antonio Esposito's first wife? Did they tell you how she died?"

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

As Gabriel returned home he practically tore the front door off of the house. A couple of servants screamed in fear upon seeing him. This was the first time they had seen him in his gargoyles form.

"Get out!" He exclaimed, and they had no trouble obliging him. No one was supposed to know the truth about him, but right now he really didn't give a damn. All he cared about was finding his beloved Cali, and his sister Rosy. He ran to the basement, and cried out in rage, as he busted open the door. He could have cared less about the consequences of anything right now.

As he entered the basement, he saw the old man sitting on he floor. He was hugging his knees to his chest, and just staring done at his feet. But fortunately he was still alive.

"Have you finally come to kill me?" The old man asked as he looked up towards Gabriel.

"I'm afraid you don't get that luxury old man." Gabriel sighed. "Anton has taken Cali, and Rosy. He's holding them hostage. I don't know what he wants, but I'm guessing he wants me dead. He was the one who trained, and mentored me. So that's one advantage for him. Another advantage he has is that Cali is pregnant."

"What?" The old man exclaimed as his eyes all of a sudden became as big as saucers. "Cali's pregnant?'

"That's right." Gabriel told him. "And I need your help. You're the only advantage that I've got. You were his mentor, and he doesn't know you're alive. You are the only one who can help save them. You know Anton better than anyone. I have know idea why he is betraying me like this!"

The old man looked at Gabriel, with his usual stoic expression, and sighed. "I think I do."

Cali only knew what happened to the first Mrs. Esposito, because of what Rosy had told her the night Gabriel was shot.

"She-she was a, medieval princess." Cali replied. "The last Gargoyle, the king, turned them both into stone. But the real Antonio Esposito accidentally released them from their stone prison, but I don't know how. Anyway the gargoyle king killed him, and took his form. I guess he was able to turn her to stone, along with him, because she was pregnant with his gargoyle son. But she died during childbirth, and the baby was stillborn. I guess what makes it even more sad, was that their son was conceived because the gargoyle king had raped her.

"THAT'S A LIE!" Anton Exclaimed with a look of pure rage. Cali screamed in fear as it came out of nowhere. Anton practically dove at her. Her body jumped as much as it could through the restraints. He firmly, yet gently grabbed her chin. They we're staring into each other's eyes. Both were breathing heaving, and trembling. Though she was trembling though fear, while he was obviously trembling through anger.

"That's not true!" He growled. "My parents loved each other! I was conceived out of that pure love! And I can assure you that I am very much alive!"
